A lot of folks turning it into a racist incident, which obviously it is not. Abuse it is, racist it ain't. Just a hate scenario where the abuser assumes the victim is somewhat different from him. From his photo's he looks like any other freckle faced, cowshed attendee and I wonder how ethnicity or race comes into play here. Are people from Greenock a separate Race from the rest of the world? If so then specific criminal offences of racial aggravation and harassment from the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 section 33 and section 96 (inserted by Criminal Law Consolidation (Scotland) Act 1995 may be very relevant on the 20th April so watch your Banners and your Banter, Buds.
