Buses organised by the Club Last Season

Recommended Posts

I'm a firm believer in the value a large travelling support brings to our players at away matches and I'd like to see SMiSA using some of their excess funds (the £2) to subsidise the regular supporters buses, or fund other additional buses independently, like the ones Campbell laid on towards the end of the season.

The more fans backing the team the better.

Never been any interest.

Doakes has hit the nail firmly on the head.

The club do run buses when an opportunity arises to do so.  You know, cup finals, important league games etc etc.  But only when the opportunity arises, not unlike certain Paisley pubs who have been known to run buses and deck themselves out in black and white when a few quid is to be made.  Pubs that sprang to mind were Café Borgia and Paddy's.  I say sprang as Paddy's has gone a bye bye and I haven't noticed Borgia for a while so I don't know if its still open or not (Paddy's I was known to drink in, Borgia was full of bufties)

Here are some examples of how great the travel clubs are

1) The travel clubs  run come rain or shine.

2) on a pishing wet Tuesday night to Montrose or a sun blushed afternoon at a national cup final the travel clubs run.

3)   When supporting the team is fashionable (like it is at the moment) the travel clubs run, when the football is as enjoyable as having ones foreskin rubbed furiously against a cheese grater, the travel clubs run.

4)  When money is looser than Donald Trump's grip on reality the travel clubs run, when money is tighter than Putin's grip on Russian wealth the travel clubs run.

5)  When the economy is bubbling away and people can afford to eat, the travel clubs run, when Labour collapse the economy plunging millions into poverty, causing widespread wage cuts, ruining pensions and causing untold misery for years after, the travel clubs run.

6)  When Shull was sane, the travel clubs ran, now that he is barking, the travel clubs run.

7)  When Div had hair the travel clubs ran, now he is as bald as a porn stars flap the travel clubs run.

8)  When Smisa were a supporters organisation looking to help the club, the travel clubs ran, now they are a power hungry organisation full of self promoting despots, the travel clubs run.

9) When  the roads were paved with...erm paving the travel clubs ran, now they are scarred and pierced with pot holes, the travel clubs run

10)  When Rolf Harris was a decent artist the travel clubs ran, now he is a disgusting, disgraced Paedophile, the travel clubs run

11)  When Netflix and chill meant watching a film with the heating turned down the travel clubs ran, now it means getting pumped, the travel clubs run

12)  When Saint Mirin was just a daft religious zealot whom you would not have answered your door to the travel clubs would have ran (if they existed) now that he is the wonderful being who brought so much to Paisley and lent his name to our wonderful brae, cathedral and oh yeah fitba team, the travel clubs run.

13)  Before I started this long list the travel clubs ran, now that I have finished it, the travel clubs will run.

Support your travel clubs, support them indeed.

Excellent points TT. Chances are we will be back to the usual 400/500  travelling supporters by January.

Let's hope not Guinness.

The supporters clubs do a great job and well.....should be supported.

But,......

The club need to draw more fans to Greenville Road on Away days.

Running buses from there with plenty of car parking available,  bacon rolls etc on offer also makes sense... No?
