Don't fancy any of them.

Me neither. In all honesty I cannot think of a red hot candidate that would excite me.  In saying that I was rather unmoved when Jack got the job and that turned out not too badly.  Gordon (with the daft car) already has a good track record when it comes to appointing manager's...let's hope it continues.

Unbelievably, it does look like Jack has managed to secure a plumb job despite having achieved very little in the scheme of things compared to other candidates such as Neil Lennon so we move on.

Whoever we get, we need someone who actually wants to stay here and build something. We pwe Jack a lot for giving us our club back but he has been wanting away since virtually the day he walked into the office,

Hopkin has been quoted as saying he won't sign for more than one year no matter where he goes so that doesn't look like an option.

If we can attract a Neilson or a Pressley that would be fantastic I think.

Neil Lennon? He couldn't win a treble with Celtic with the Sevvies out of the way, he did shit at Bolton (albeit that was always going to be a tough one). He won promotion with Hibs on a budget that far outstripped the rest of us. He's finished 4th in a league where Hibs will have the 4th or 5th largest wage bill. He hasn't done anything spectacular IMO. On the other hand Jack had Alloa beating some good sides in their League Cup run, and had them going well before joining us. The turnaround of what should have been guaranteed relegation into promotion next season is at least a decent achievement and went beyond our expectations.

On your last sentence I agree on Neilson, I'm keen on bringing him in if we do lose Jack. Pressley would have me worried.

Steve Archibald is a bit left field......considering he played at the VERY top level I would not be opposed to that one!

What's Victor up to these days?

Only thing that has made me smile while trolling through all these depressing threads that stating Jack has gone.

The latest on the tinterweb stated the GS Said that Jack was on holiday, and unless scullduggery was involved, he considered Jack to still be our manager, IF Jack does decide to up sticks (which I sincerely hope he doesn't) I don't know who we could go for, think Archibald is staying with the Jags.  But when push comes to shove, I will support the team and club and hope we continue to progress. In addition to my earlier post, I want a manager who isn't going to use finances as an excuse for failure.

I also want someone who has the mentality to genuinely believe we should look to actively attempt to win every single game and not to see winning against the OF as a "nice if we can do it but let's be realistic" but to genuinely set up for a win.

In short, I want a complete and obsessive winner as manager.

Wouldn't be against Danny Lennon coming back.

I wouldn’t mind Neilson or Pressely

Might start a thread..... :P

What, 2 failures?. We need better than these two.

Neilson utterly failed at MK. Wouldn't touch him.

Pressley getting quoted is beyond belief.

Chap Billy Davies's door again. I know not popular but  better than anything i have seen suggested. Hearts would have appointed him if he hadn't told Levein he would run the show

One year rolling contract perhaps?
