Saints 0 ICT 1
Saints long running home jinx against Caley Thistle continued yesterday as the visitors recorded yet another win in Paisley thanks to a late header from Richie Foran.
It was an utterly desperate game of football contested by two sets of players who looked as though they had already downed tools ahead of the summer holidays and whilst a 0-0 draw would have been a fairer reflection on the match it was really no surprise to see the small band of Caley fans celebrating in the away end as has become the norm when the highlanders come to town.
Hugh Murray was the main focus of attention and the minute of applause that echoed around the stadium in the 7th minute was a touching gesture in his direction from his adoring fans.
Shug was to play almost an hour of the match after coming on as a sub for an out of sorts looking Dougie Imrie, and indeed could have marked his last home game for the club with a goal had it not been for an Inverness defender blocking a powerful drive from the midfield legend late in the second half.

At the full time whistle the result was forgotten as Shug made his way slowly round the stadium taking the time to pose for photos with fans and he looked genuinely touched by the occasion and the reaction from the Black and White Army.
After the game came the player of the year presentations with Paul McGowan taking the B&W Army POTY trophy, presented to him by young Euan Thomson;

And so the seasons end is in sight. I think it's fair to say the fans generally accept that progress has been made this season with some better football on show than in previous years. They are of course nursing some shades of disappointment at the two cup exits and the mid-season winless run that ultimately cost us a truly memorable campaign and whilst we will finish higher than we have ever done in the SPL there will definitely be thoughts of what might have been.
On to Aberdeen and the last game where a win might yet secure 7th place, a draw would definitely take 8th and a defeat would mean 9th.

I realise there was nothing at stake but surely we must have some pride. We must finsh above "greeting Craig's" Aberdeen an had we won yesterday we would have done so.
Yes we have had a reasonably good season but just think where we could have been! And remember what I said before.............. "Points make prizes" .......... and Just wonder how much money we have thrown away this season.
One final point.......... I do hope our chairnan votes for maximum punishment against Ranges and the the newco and votes for sending them to the 3rd division.
Justice should be the guiding light against these cheats otherwise every club in Scotland will follow their example and rid themselves of debt and bad management.
They should not be allowed to sign a further player until all the players they they have illegally bought have been fully paid for. Even if that takes more than 12 months.
Well done DL and the boys on a great season and thanks for the years of commitment Shuggie.
Bring on next season...!
We are supporters who Stewart says are the most important part of ther club,,and our voice MUST be heard.
Let us, like Dundee United, threaten to boycott if our chairman does not vote the way we, the suppoirters, want.
And I will not accept Stewart saying we do not understand the full implications of voting against Rangers........... yes we do .........it wil make it a much more competitive league without these cheats who "buy" players but do not pay for them.
On that basis I think we shoulfd but Messi !!! ........... there is no difference.
His economic argument makes no sense to me...No Blue team less money so problem getting players...Well everyone will be in the same boat and these POORLY PAID! footballers off the SPL will just have to take a pay cut...Get paid like normal people doing normal jobs like they used to.
You break the rules you get punished...Also how much are the Scottish Councils having to cut spending this year...£40 Million...Blue teams tax bill...£80Million...No teachers but Davis on £40K a week! Also the only administration where no one gets paid off!!! Bizzare!
I do hope that he does not make any further ridiculous statements otherwise he will alienate himself from the supporters.
I only hope that when the chairmen have their meeting to vote on the punishment and future of Rangers that Stewart Gilmour has the courage to do the right thing by this club and vote for their relegation to the 3rd division.
I just wonder what would be the punishment had this been any othe team in the Premier division?
I also wonder if they will take into condideration that the
I also wonder whether the meeting will take into consideration that the Administrators have broken nearly every rule in the administrationn of Rangers by bending so far backwards in order protect their Cheating status.
The administrators should be brought to account for their handling of the case.
They have broken every deadline and time scale in the Insolvency Act but nobody seems to worry
Surely the Day of Reckoning must come one day !!
