Video Evidence Clears Guy

Written by B&W Army Webteam.

The following YouTube clip provides conclusive proof that Lewis Guy did not raise his hands or strike Ross Draper in the aftermath of the last minute equaliser at St.Mirren Park on Saturday.

Guy clearly nicks the ball out of Drapers hands in an attempt to get the game going again, and the ball hits the player in the face. Draper then rolled around the pitch playing the victim which referee Steven McLean bought hook, line and sinker before sending off the Saints forward.

Hopefully this video evidence can be used to clear Guy from what would be an outrageous suspension and land Draper in the dock for unsporting conduct.

Hopefully Saint Mirren will appeal the eed card.
Hopefully the Inverness player will get a booking for cheating or what they now call "simulisation"
Hopefully the referee will be demoted to the 3rd division as he was very poor and is only suitable for 3rd division clubs like Rangers

no "hopefully "about it ! the letter should be in by now and the report from the spl representative at the match will be interesting if Saturday's ref gets away without any censure for his performance which appears to have been dyre it will tell us what to expected for the rest of the season with the standard of refereeing or should we expect "special "treatment for having the audacity to stand up for ourselves

Here we go again.....the same people on here blaming the ref yet again saying the same things. We all know refs are good and bad and they have been for years. But the name of the game is to score MORE than your opponent. Simple. Look to the team and NOT the ref. It's the easy option to keep blaming others.

That's a fair assumption providing that the referee doesn't influence the game to such an extent that it is to the detriment of one side. Unfortunately on Saturday, there were a number of decisions which did exactly this. I have seen some bad refereeing (as probably we all have) and all we look for as fans is consistancy, but McLean clearly demonstrated that he has no concept of consistency. The display shown at SMP should mean that he needs more experience when dealing with games in the top flight.

Terry Butcher said all his players saw a punch being thrown (yes maybe even at the ball) ... erm... how many ICT players are even looking in that general direction?!!

Also... remember we lost 1-0 to Celtic at Parkhead... red card penalty cos Venegoor of Hesselink or whatever he's called pulled Haining to the ground... everyone commentating/watching etc agreed the decision was farcical. We appealed it with video evidence... and we lost the £1k appeal money or whatever because the ref stood by his decision. So the ref or linesman said they saw violent conduct at the time... this video will show them how wrong they were...but will they actually overturn the decision? I hope so...but it's the SFA we're talking about here...

In future we have to make sure we don't give opposition players the chance to con the ref. He didn't have to knock the ball out of his hands, but in Guy's defence, who saw a red card from that?!

Do we know if club made an appeal? Not sure if SFA will be prepared to accept fan's video evidence.

Gowsers booking for throwing the ball to / at (delete as appropraite!) opponent when had run 10 yards to retrieve it after blatent timewasting was equally a joke!
