It's a picture that many Saints fans will be sorry to see, with popular striker Billy Mehmet posing in the colours of Turkish club FC Genclerbirligi after puting pen to paper on a 3 year deal that will see him leave Paisley on a bosman transfer for the sunnier climes of Ankara.

The move itself won't come as any surprise to the supporters, who have long been resigned to the fact that both Mehmet and Andy Dorman would be leaving for pastures new this close season.

As a player who always gave 100% commitment to the shirt, not to mention scoring some fabulous and important goals during his stint with the buds, Billy will always be fondly remembered by the Black and White Army and we wish him well with his future endeavours in Turkey.

It's expected that Billy will be joined by Hearts captain Michael Stewart who is also discussing a deal with Genclerbirligi.
