Goncalves Signs !
The buddies squad has been boosted by the arrival of 21 year old Portuguese striker Esmael Goncalves who has signed on loan to the Paisley club until the end of the season from Rio Ave.

Goncalves was out on loan last season to the French club Nice who play in the French Premier League where he scored the winning goal against French giants Lyon.
The club are hoping to get Esmael cleared in time to join the squad that will head to Hampden on Sunday to face Celtic. Players must be registered by 5pm on Friday in order to take part.
Meanwhile Newcastle United have confirmed they have agreed a deal with French club Nancy to sign left back Massadio Haidara, a move that should increase the possibility of young Paul Dummett returning to the Paisley club on loan for the rest of the season.

I wonder if this guy will get a place on Sunday.
Is that not panic tactics
So where will he play
Hopefully in a position where he will score goals !!!
I know its negative...But I must agree with Frank McGarvey in todays Herald...we have basically no chance. The team is set up wrongly by the manage to worry Celtic. How the players play I feel is irrelevant as the tactics are all wrong.
3,500 tickets sold for a cup semi final tells its own story.
At least under Gus the players seemed to have some passion and were organised at the back...It wasn't pretty but we could on occasion beat the old scum.
He was pathetic !!
Acording to Danny we are looking for "a miracle" on Sunday.
Now is that the way for a manager to talk just before a game.
We are finished with this manager
Have a look at the "our away support" and that will tell you something about how the fans feel for the club.
We started off full of hope .......... and now........... rather depressed.
Even a wee look at the home crowds tells a similar story.
Surely Danny and the Board can read into these figures that we are not over impressed with what is going on at St Mirren and that we need to improve the squad and start winning games.
Wonderful....... we have acquired another striker........ so instead of getting beaten 4 - 1 ........ we will get beaten 4 - 3..
a more exciting game but still ZERO points.
Good luck to Esmael and I hope he has a successful time at St Mirren but maybe now attention will be turned to signing or "borrowing" two decent defenders.
