  2. Heard a lot of discussion at game today about wither people would renew season ticket or not depending on what division we are in. Im a true supporter and regardless of what happens I will be renewing mines and my families. Is that not what you are meant to do? follow your team through thick and thin? Hope most of you agree?

Up until now all I've wanted was for us to avoid the play off spot, but yesterday's result coupled with Ross county's manager giving yet another whiney interview blaming everybody but himself for a defeat has made me greedy - I now want them relegated.

  6. Saints have been in the top flight for a full 8 seasons now and a good few of them have seen the team in the exact same position as this season so what makes this season any different? Is there an expectation or even a demand that a top six place is achieved? If so then they can fúck off to support Glasgow clubs. What’s more it’s not confined to this season or last. Two years ago when Saints finished 8th these fúcking ball-bags were moaning because there was no relegation battle to get excited about. No, this negative reaction is not a reflection of a long disappointing season but a reflection of cúnts being miserable, two-faced cúnts.

  8. If people want to leave early that's their look-out. However what really got me was the above mentioned "What a load of rubbish". This was chanted when Saints were 2-0 down & looking very shaky, a time when the players needed the fans to give encouragement yet these fúcktards come out with this pish. And to make matters worse, at the end of the game said fúcktards were chanting "We love you Saint Murn!". Some say "fickle", I say "two-faced, hypocritical cúnts".

  9. Has not been mentioned, but it was also great to hear that we relegated Hearts. ETA: Added to a wee win in the Grand National, a great night oot at The Bungalow and The Rangers getting humped, it's been a great weekend.

  10. We are all fans whether we go to the matches or not. Work, family commitments or finances are a factor in people attending games. I work alot of weekends and dont get to as many games as I would like. It doesnt make me any less of a fan than thise who go to every game. Dont particularly like the snipeing between fans about who goes to games and who doesn't. We are all fans and should be enjoying yesterdays fantastic comeback and not having a go fellow buds. Just my opinion.

  11. I dont think you will reach these people, too thick to know what real life is and too secure in their own ignorance to know a tragedy when they see one. Will they react in the same way, with a laboured joke and a callous attitude, when tragedy comes to their own doors? Just looking at the BBC reports lays out a map of a life that was always going to hit some kind of buffer at some time. there are greater tragedies and more widespread suffering, but there is someting truly gutting about what LOOKS like the inevitability of this event.

  13. I’d prefer County to Hibs ending up 11th. For one reason it means I could still get to visit my niece & nephew in Edinburgh when Saints play there but, mainly, it’s to see Derek Adams whinge & squirm his way back to the 1st Division.

  19. anyone wanting to have total control of the club, as it would seem the 75% will give them, is up to no good. the only reason anyone would want this, as opposed to just the 52%, we can only assume that's because they know they are likely to get resistance for whatever plans they might haveI'm not even comfortable with one individual owning the 52%

We are well past the point of calling for the manager's head surely. What is required is 100% focus on avoiding 11th place. I am genuinely not interested in how we achieve this. An utter shitfest will do, if that is what is required. Yesterday has served as a demonstration of what we have in our locker, and I am much happier than after the fermers match. I would much rather we stayed up with Danny at the helm, if we can do just that. I wish no ill on the man, and wish him every good fortune in the future. I don't think that will lie with Saints, nor do I think it should, but I don't want his reputation to be tarnished any more than I want the club relegated. I now don't think wewe need a change for the last five matches. I don't think it would make a great deal of difference, and might be counterproductive. Yesterday should give everyone a huge lift, so now we should all be getting behind everyone at the club for the final push.

  23. Same in W4 no chanting but the abuse starting - NEVER have and NEVER will do that - there is NO point. I know the 'I've paid my money I'll say what I want' thing BUT the team are 2 down, staring play offs in the face - I don't care what anyone says professional footballers or not - ABUSE coming from their OWN fans will not help. Get behind them, encourage them and if you can't do that say nothing - the pub and the forum - let off your steam and anger then. During a game is not the time to do it. God I was hell of a disheartened at 2-0 but everytime someone shouted abuse I shouted encouragement. One of the guys who I have gone to the fitba with for more years than I care to remember is one of the most direct spoken people you will ever meet but he thinks the same as me on this one - yesterday he was raging like the rest of us but not once did he shout abuse - he hates it too. SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT - pub - RANT! Have a good Sunday everyone :-)

  24. I dont have a season ticket.I havent had one for about 25 years. I have supported Saints ALL my life , attending games home & away for over 45 years. I was fortunate enough to have been given a couple of briefs for the Family stand from a good friend who was at corporate today. After that, i have no desire whatsoever to get a season ticket ever again. As i stated on another thread, the shite i listened to from so called fans round about me (season ticket holders) wqas enough to convince me that buying as i go & choosing to decide where i sit is a far better option than the dubious privelage of spending a season in MY seat when i have to listen to the negative drivel of the dobbers around me who seem more intent in slagging off our players. Now, if there was a season ticket which permitted entry to a stand & an area you could sit where you please & move if your sitting beside a knobend..... then , perhaps Yes.

  29. Lee Mair has played for Aberdeen, Dundee, Dundee United, Saints and now Thistle, all Premier League clubs, so he obviously has something going for him. And, as you indicate, he's a good mentor for the younger players; John McGinn has said as much. However, you have to wonder why he keeps getting punted on and I reckon it's less to do with ability than perhaps being a bit vocal off the field.

  31. Of course, there are some levels of abuse which is out of order and I don't condone it but we live in an imperfect world and whilst we try to discourage it, this negative reaction is a reflection of a long disappointing season.

  32. They probably didn't focus on the offside first goal because no Motherwell players were offside. One thump up the park caught our defenders flat in a line looking at one another while Ainsworth and Anier strode on. I am pretty sure that Vigors was in an offside position across at the main stand side corner flag when he was involved in the build-up to their second goal (before they got 5 or 6 breaks of the ball).

  33. Mickey Rooney had been married 8 times in his life. I recall Mickey Rooney being asked in a TV interview, at a time when many celebrity divorces were extremely acrimonious how he managed to stay friendly with all his ex wifes. He said with a smile, "it's simple.........................we split everything 50/50...........................they keep the inside of the house and I keep the outside"

  34. If Hibs lost tonight, then we beat them, Partick beat Killie and Hearts beat Ross County.. there would be 1 point between 5 teams for the playoff spot. Good for the neutral anyway!

  36. Yes, having a great time. Never been to Atlanta before. Lots of interest, the home of course of Coca Cola, CNN, and Martin Luther King. Done those tours. Very good, looking forward to doing the Georgia Dome tour tomorrow, home of the NFL Atlanta Falcons. Back in the hotel room for a bit. Might need to buy new underpants tomorrow. Just soiled the ones I was wearing while reading the following words on 't internet..... John. Baird. Rangers. Ramsdens. Haaaaaaa!

  37. What a surprise that Lee Mair is actually pretty shite. If only we'd known that when we punted him. Still, useful if you're wanting to get on the old Herbalife. PS I do still wish we'd signed a centre half better than him or anyone else in the team but oh well.

Nice to have a week off after a win. If Hibs win tomorrow you think they're probably safe, if they don't win they'll come into this match right in the mix with the pressure on. I think we will win regardless, and I think we will beat Thistle the following Friday too. 6 points from 6 and we will be all but safe after the Firhill game.

  48. Simple questions we should all be asking of Mr Methven if..? the story reported is true... How are you funding this 75% stakeholding? Does it involve any borrowing against the club? If so are any of the clubs assets held in security against this borrowing? And given you aren't as far as we know a St Mirren fan, why us, why now? And ask the same of the Swiss consortium if they get pole position.... And to perhaps head off a few voices of criticism i.e. "If Mr Methven is going to buy 75% of the club he should be able to do what he likes" I would answer no..! he will like any owner rely on the revenue streams the club generates to run the club... i.e. ST's Tickets merchandise etc, etc... We control the revenue streams, we need to be convinced of your intentions to allow you (Mr Buyer) access to those streams.
