    Howieson's Black & White Heritage

Cameron Howieson was being interviewed by BBC Alba up at the Saints exhibition at the Museum this afternoon. His great-great grandfather was James Howieson, a member of Saints' 1926 cup winning team, and he was being interviewed about this for a piece that'll be shown before the Raith Rovers game next Friday.

It's probably more to do with the fact that we won fairly comfortably last week and there's not too much to be negative about. Although I'm sure someone will be along soon to start the ball rolling.

Should be a decent game, decent crowd and 2 teams trying to win a game. Something we very rarely witnessed in the Premiership/SPL. First Panda club trip of the season for my boy and nephew, both excited about the game. 3 points please. COYS

    New Away Kit

Just left the Braehead JD'S. Emptyhanded. No Full Away Kit available. Just the Top I have now ordered Top, Shorts and Socks to arrive together. Maybe get them before Winter sets in. Absolutely laughable. Was hoping to get the lot for Saturday's match and for her Coaching at the Dome on Sunday. Farcical.

Brilliant! I really love that short, powerful phrase. Acknowledgement of the preceding statement, yet with a definite rejection of the information imparted, an implicit rolling of the eyes contained therein at the veracity of information offered and minimal respect for the person to whom it was directed. Great post, munoz!

It's like saints to lose this game after an outstanding performance at dumfries. I want that not to happen let's really go for it and build on our win. It's time.to do it at home. Positive fans on satwhelped our cause and I hope we get that this Saturday. Of course moan on here but let's get behind our saints on Saturday

I'm not outraged by IBS not knowing how to speak sensibly and cohesively. I am offended about that stat stating thousands have died from medical conditions after being declared fit for work only 6 weeks earlier under rules he has overseen. I'm assuming you are OK with that fact. Maybe i need to explain that more clearly to someone who can't tell an example from a definition

I've never touched him, but I'm sure you're right. If he looks, acts and smells like shit then there is a big chance he feels like shit too. Maybe we should refer to him as Iain Bunkum Smith- or IBS for short. It seems very apt, in the circumstances.

Perhaps they do, but IDS is one of the most odious individuals out there and the more we highlight the atrocity of his thinking the better for everyone. That's the kind of individual voting Conservative/Unionist gets you and sums up, in a nutshell, why I have been voting to leave the UK since 1979.

Isn't it interesting that Stud has stopped using "natsi" since babykillergate and instead references "socialists and nationalists" instead. I like how he cleverly switches them around now and again, too. And when I say"cleverly".....

Whilst Nicola doesn't want one right now, I'm sure she does eventually. As for Cameron, he can fùck off if he thinks he can stop it. So, lucky after all, I guess.

It was a stupid fox's paw and no worse than that. I'm no great admirer of IDS but I'm sure he feels like shit. Leaping on this is very Dicksonesque in the way he lights on anything the SNP muck up. They do give him opportunities at times.

You are right, his gaffe was indefensible. However once again you and your left wing friends jump all over a single word when the policy is clearly ethical, right and is succeeding. It is quite right that people with disabilities receive exactly the same level of assistance as everyone else when returning to work. To demand that we treat those with disabilities any differently from everyone else is to indeed make them somehow "abnormal".

Are you talking to me? I feel more than a little aggrieved at the blatant misuse of a perfectly nice name by sections of our so-called 'support'. I mused for some time over reporting the abusers listed above to a Moderator or just signing on, myself, in order to deliver this personal rebuke/chastisement. It has been a real dichotomy.

So Ta Ta Then British Jihadists

Not sure what 'our' beliefs are. I don't believe in 'God', whoever he or she is. There's one example. Brits come in many shapes, sizes, colours, creeds, religions, and sexual orientation. Help ma' Boab - some Brits even vote Tory. Some support the Sevco Franchise. Some like Radiohead's post-OK Computer output... Fcuking weirdos, these 'Brits'. Surely though, even though I don't agree with a lot of what he posts, the OP is not glad someone has been blown to bits for simply having different beliefs - he has started the thread because these particular Brits fcuked off to fight with a terrorist organisation causing huge heartache, death and destruction to innocent people. I'm not a huge fan of the USA and their lap-dog Britain's foreign policy in such matters, but I'm shedding no tears for that pair of drone-dead cnuts.

    Goodwin

I think Carswell has the potential and ability to be Goodwin's successor in that holding role, but there's two things missing from his game. Firstly, he needs to bulk up a bit more - I know it's a cliche, but Jim can physically dominate opponents and brush them off - not sure Carswell can do that just yet. Secondly, he doesn't have the fire in his belly yet, which Jim undoubtedly has. Needs to be a bit more passionate and aggressive in his attitude. Young player though, so hopefully that will come. Jim has been great so far, really proven a lot of people - me included - wrong. Vital presence in midfield at the moment.

    Goodwin

Thought I might have to change my 'top man' when it looked like he was away in the summer. Glad I haven't. We've finally got a proper defence in behind Jim so he can play the crucial, pivotal holding role properly, without worrying about 1) the clusterf**k behind him and 2) whether he's going to be moved backwards to join the clusterf**k. Goodwin

I must admit I was very concerned that Jim would be pushed out of the Club as personally I think he is irreplaceable in such a young team where experience and professionalism are worth their weight in gold. Especially where he plays. Now Goody is back in the team and keeping his place I hope Murray has recognised how important he is and will give him more public support. And well said Drew. Few on this site admit it when they may get something wrong (and we all do!).

A good start will be very important to keep the momentum. We need to hem them in and make sure they don't get a foothold in midfield. That's the Achilles' heel. Too many times we've let ourselves down there. Goodie is a must but I would still like to see a "digger" in there. I'm going along with the optimists and predicting a victory. albeit a tight 2-1.

    Goodwin

Goodwin is articulate gregarious and good company all round. He is a considerate family man. He can in his professional life be a nasty , dogmatic and irritating character, but I'm glad he plays with us and I'm glad he is passionate about his playing. He would be the first guy I would tend to abuse if he was in opposition to my team, that says enough. Whatever he lacks in pace he makes up for in nous and presence. He can be reckless, ( doh ) for sure, but his value to the team outweighs his potential, bombscare red mist moments. It's sometimes shades of grey with him , but at least Guinness is black and white !!
