    Could We Beat Alloa?

Could we beat our way out of a big wet paper bag? Could we beat an auld reekie rug with a carpet beater? Or could we beat eggs to make an omelette? All as relevant as us beating Alloa.

Rae in today's PDE saying that we've had a couple of informal bids which he considers derisory (TM Drew) [emoji38] and that Mallan is going nowhere, as the days of selling our players on the cheap have gone.

Draw takes place Thursday 1pm at The Kelpies which is appropriate now that the tournament is a steaming pile of horseshit.

McIntyre, the Celtic Youth Coach says... " We have argued for a long time on having a Colts Team in the League. You can see what it brings. There was a buzz about the Annan game. It was live on TV. " Him and the rest of the Pricks must be stopped. Bring back the Reserve League.

    Could We Beat Alloa?

Exactly. Point I was going to make. Shull and fickle others................. its 18th August...... going your league predictions we are top of league, not bad for a bunch of " overpaid with no talent" jessies. We have new back line, midfield and front line............ takes time to gel not 4 weeks. We will be top 4 by Xmas, we wont win League and we wont be relegated Good start by Alloa could we beat them..... WGAF. They are the league below us and got stuffed last year. We took 10 out of 12 points off them. So well done Jack Ross, I am annoyed you have Goodie, we should have him, but clash with AR saw him go. Bet you if we beat Hibs, then a few on here will be saying what a great team we are. FFS- I support Saints but we don't half some muppets who support us.

How much are we "ploughing" into Ralston? It's not all about selling, it's about producing players to play for St Mirren.

The chance to join Dundee would not turn many heads - it's hardly a step up.

Beat The Chairman And Get Free Entry

Or a bit of publicity for the club, that we wouldn't normally get in the press.

Simple, they hope to turn the boys head thus hoping that forces us into selling at their valuation rather than ours. We need to be strong here with Mallan and his agent as this could easily turn bitter. Yes we hold the aces but our poker face has never been hard to read and we never win at first to blink !

How about , any saints fan participating with any Saints top old or new can have a ticket ? Seeing as we have over 3,000 empty seats and even after giving you a ticket to a game you were already probably going to will still have over 3,000 empty seats ? Community club gesture or Ego trip ?

In the last 5-6 years we have had Kenny McLean, John McGinn, Marc McAusland, Sean Kelly, Jason Naismith, Thomas Reilly, Stevie Mallan, Lewis Morgan, Lewis McLear, Jack Baird all coming from the our youth development set up into our first team squad. Probably half of them have been capped from Scotland development teams like the U21s. #hardlypointless

Take a chill pill. Any player who has an eye for goal should be played in his best position , as for wingers we are not playing the best style for wingers meaning the long ball. We should be building from the back not kicking the ball up for the other team to win the ball. Mallan should be played behind our forwards.

Sorry. A few of Murray's early decisions... sign Alan Gow, sign Stephen Thompson, sign Scott Agnew, sign Cameron Howieson and the guy from Burnley who got sent off against Morton and didn't feature again. Sign Paul McMullan and predict he will terrorise Championship defences. After pre-season starts announce our own U20s are so good we won't need to sign as many players as first thought. Appoint Spalding as assistant manager. Sign Stuart Carswell. Freeze Jim Goodwin out the team. Drop Stevie Mallan. After season gets underway and we lose lose lose decide our U20s and most of the summer signings aren't up to much and begin trying to sign more folks. Reintroduce Goodwin and Mallan, Sign Jamie Langfield as No.2 to Ridgers. Punt Ridgers out on loan to Kilmarnock and make Langfield No.1 one week later. Sign Andy Webster, sign Lawrence Shankland in about September. Sack Spalding. Choose Alex Miller as your new mentor. Tell the fans they don't know what they are talking about and we are actually quite good despite not winning any home games by December. This season we have played 6 competitive games and won 3 and lost 2 and drawn 1. We've beaten Livingston, Ayr United and Edinburgh City in the league cup group games, lost to Hamilton Accies and Raith away from home and drawn with Morton at home. We have had a tough start to the league season with Hibs next up.

Raith v Saints Sat 13th Aug.

Just watched the highlights and thought we created quite a few chances. The problems are at the back and defensive midfield. We could have conceded ten at the weekend. I wonder if Rae and the cab driver spend any time organising the defence? Compare us to Morton's defence last week, player for player they are probably weaker but are much better organized. And they are coached by Jim Duffy FFS!

Raith v Saints Sat 13th Aug.

On a more positive note, Dundee Utd have the same amount of points as we do and got beat off one of this seasons relegation favourites yesterday. Points will be won and lost, we just need to find the right formula with the players at our disposal. It really wouldn't surprise me if we get a positive result against Hibs next Saturday.

Raith v Saints Sat 13th Aug.

A lot of teams in this league are rebuilding (a number players have signed for clubs in just the past few days). We, on the other hand, have gone into the season with a settled side, business was done early and on paper we're stronger than we were. We should really have hit the ground running; the manager's had most of these guys in front of him for 6 months. Raith had 5 new signings in their starting 11 today, Morton 4 last week. I really thought we would take advantage of the fact that, in terms of losing players over the summer, we were much better than off that most. To be outperformed by teams thrown together in the past few weeks with lesser resources than us is the biggest concern for me.
