Not even July and people complaining the squad is light?! Can never win.11 points -
Thanks so very much Russell just looked it was Lynn at ticket office and Alan Wardrop. So will try and contact these 2. Would love to get season tickets for me Callum and my other son on this early bird offer as looks good value and would be more than happy to travel to all the home games from where we live as my sons are dying to get to a match especially Callum who I let down last year. Hopefully Lynn and Alan remember me as they where gonna make a real fuss of him last time! Thanks so very much again!! Steven4 points

No need for nerves. The Boss has things in hand. One or two players have an opportunity to make a choice before he moves on. We are already a taller and more physical squad than last season. Now for the finishing touches.4 points -

What I do like is how excited the new arrivals look to be - especially Heaton, who is clearly buzzing after his move. Boy seems ambitious, too.4 points -

We will all need to wait and see for our own eyes. The guy from Darlington looks a diamond if you YouTube him. As for the rest well in the manager I trust who has seen and trained them at the academy rather than impatient Saints fans bored stiff on their keyboards writting about players who they have just seen in a photograph making judgment3 points -

Just about anywhere is down south from Sneck. It was just my idle speculation. He seems like a strong leader at the back, and I think this is something we require. ICT were willing to honour his contract if he couldn't get a decent move, so he must have a deal elsewhere lined up. As you say, though, every chance it is dahn saaf, as opposed to just down south....2 points -
I think that people are quite entitled to express their concern regarding our signings. What is wrong is the assertion that they will be shite , before a ball is kicked. As is any claim that they will be a success. I'm intrigued by our signings, and I'm trusting that our manager can spot a player that can contribute at this level. I'm certainly not without doubts , but they're tempered with a sense of optimism. We still need several more players, not least up front. It would be great if a couple of these could be marquee signings that add a touch of class and quality to our current squad, and make it the finished article.2 points

Unbelievable. "Why do we sign so many over the hill duds who are all too familiar up here. We should be modelling ourselves on Motherwell and ICT's respective recruitment policies. Get it sorted." *Club finally think outside the box and sign a handful of young unknown players to provide competition to an already fairly settled squad. Most of said signings are very highly thought of down south* "Oh actually, why don't we sign the Livingston captain and Nicky Clark? All these signings are unproven at this level" Every signing at our level is a risk; Steven Thompson was a high profile signing carrying an element of risk - it paid off. Eric Djemba-Djemba was a high profile signing carrying an element of risk - it didn't pay off.2 points

I never realised Martinez had played for Motherwell On transfers, I suspect he's having a proper look at what we've got this week and will take stock from there. I think there'll be a couple of players who might still be encouraged out the door, on loans at the very least, and that we could still be looking at about four more players. Might also depend on what formation he's aiming to play re which other areas need strengthening. I'm assuming 4-2-3-1 will still be largely in favour.2 points -

Good luck to him. Good to see ex saints flourish. Yea, he wasn't the greatest player but his lack of ability doesn't mean he doesn't understand the science or the thinking behind the game. See fergie as an example.....2 points -

Being overly negative about everything Saints related at every opportunity necessary when we as fans have no control over the matter and should simply be supporting the new management team and relishing how good the last 18 months have been... unbelievable. Of our latest batch of signings it would appear some are more likely to succeed than others, by your reckoning King should automatically be the best because he's came from a club 4/5 levels above say Heaton? My point is no signing is a certainty to work out. If we want to be pedantic I could sit and name numerous different scenarios over the years.1 point -

Halkett was a standout at Championship level last season, made team of the year plus he wouldn't have cost £75k or received a 3 year deal. Heaton comes from two levels below where Davis came from and returned to (no fees involved) and one below Kellerman (no fee involved), Heaton is like the US Air Force - oversexed, overpaid and over here!1 point -

Indeed, and we surely cannot be thinking about going toe to toe with the outfits in the top flight, with a host of new players who are non-league, unknown, untested and/or loanee kids from wherever Stubbs has contacts. All I’m saying is that these new signings deserve a chance to show us what they’ve got. We need a lot more than what we’ve currently got though, or it is going to be watching games away to Celtic and Co from behind the sofa.1 point

Memories indeed... I remember being a Cancan dancer one year, and my brother singing' My boy lollipop'. I remember at rehearsals our captain telling him that if he kept singing like that he would get loads of boos. My brother thought he meant booze and told my dad he would get a surprise after he sang! Ten years ago, I paid over £100 a ticket to see Tom Waits at the Edinburgh Playhouse. It was music, theatre and spectacle. It was worth every penny ???? Can’t see Waits ever touring Europe again. It was one to tell the grandkids about. On the other hand, tickets for the New York Dolls at the Garage a couple of years later were £17.50 plus fees. Brilliant gig!1 point -

I'm looking forward to seeing our next signings. Must say I'm pretty worried at the moment, taking part time players to full time clubs is very hit and miss. More miss and hit. Not a problem if its just a few squad players and we have some experienced heads coming in now.....1 point

Lambert won 2 successive promotions with Norwich, taking them from League One to the Premiership and keeping them there. He had 3 seasons at Aston Villa. He saved both Blackburn and Wolves from relegation, knocking out Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Cup in the process. He's earned £ millions in the course of managing 7 clubs in England. Hardly a failure!1 point
