Been at every away game this season and I think the team owe the fans a decent performance. Cos it's been dross this season so far. At Perth we were shocking. But will be there tomorrow hoping for any kind of win. Coys.6 points -

Dundee the City of Discovery. The land of Jute and Jam. Then there’s Paisley a town also once famous for its textiles and Golly wogs. (Oops! That was another disaster. McKay's 1 Roberston's 0) Now both have another thing in common the two shitest teams in the Premiership and tomorrow will give us an indication of who is the worst. What a build up!!! In the last two seasons the Saints have had no Joy in Dundee. Twice last season I went to Tannadice with high expectations and twice we were woeful. The season before Billy the fish, sold the jersey’s and big bad United kicked us all over the park in a 3-2 thriller which left us in a relegation playoff spot. Well this season we are already in the playoff spot hoping to avoid the automatic relegation position. Nothing suggests we won’t be woeful tomorrow. We don’t travel well. Our away form has been honking this season and we have only scored 5 league goals. We are so bad that a hearts player is our second top scorer. Then again, Dundee’s home form is just as bad and they have gained 0 points at home whilst we have gained 0 points away so tomorrow something must give. By default one of us or even both of us will get something. What a Build up!!! So, tomorrow we’re expected to travel in numbers to watch what must be billed as the Shitest game in the land contested by the two worst teams in the league. The two teams who have lost their last five games, scored the least goals and delivered defeat after defeat meet in the clash of the minions. Who says life in the Premiership is dull when you can watch teams with woeful away form play teams with atrocious home form for top dollar. Only an idiot would go to see shit like that See you all there. Can’t wait. In OK, we trust.6 points -

As i alluded to before, i really fancy us to get a good win tomorrow by at least a two goal margin. Reasoning is, Oran is ahead of McIntyre in knowing who can actually do what now. Oran has gone through his 'trauma' period when he got no new manager bounce, and has picked himself up. McIntyre, i Believe is just going into that period, and the most outspoken voice from Dens is Miller, who has been pish (we dodged an expensive bullet there). Oran has got a few options now, he has been patient with the youngsters Stubbs signed, and that is now paying off for him. He has a realistic outlook on whoever gets the three points tomorrow, could see that overturned in the next league game. wheras everyone at Dundee are saying its a must win. So i think we will play the better football, and turn their anxiety to our advantage. We may have to be patient, but i think we will hurt them as, and when we put the pressure on. What are the odds on us to score three?5 points -

Wangled hospitality for the wee man and myself tomorrow. Looking forward to it, but really nervous about the game. Our away form has been absolutely woeful, but surely we can get up for this one. Need a bit of belief and composure, as well as getting fired in. If we get bullied away from home yet again we’ll get beat. A win would be phenomenal, a draw would be a good result, but a defeat would just make our ‘troubles’ deeper and worryingly will give Dundee a boost. Fingers crossed it’s a positive turning point for our season. I’ll need to see if I can find the leg of my specs that got broken off celebrating that wee Stevie Mallan goal a few years ago. It was with a new pair to be fair.3 points -

Torn about whether to go tomorrow. If I take the weans, it'll cost about £100 for the whole day. If I don't take the weans, it'll be cheaper but the only way I'll manage that is by pretending I'm just taking the bins out as I go for the train. But I hate listening to us on the radio, especially if Willie Miller is doing the game. Why can't we just be mediocre this season rather than really shite, then tomorrow wouldn't be that important.3 points -

If it's Jackson and Mullen, and windy, then we need to keep the ball on the deck. Pumping high balls up to them is pointless, even in good conditions. I þhink Mullen will be a right pain in the proverbial for their defence. I can our front two drawing yellow cards from their players - out of frustration.2 points -

I think this game will say more about OK and McIntyre than anything. Both were upbeat in defeat, although Well thrashed Dundee on chances whilst Gers were a bit fortunate to beat us. So both teams on the back of multiple defeats , its kind of a unique situation. Neither team can make claim to be confident here...... we went there a few years back in terrible form and won 3-1. Hoping History repeats itself. But basically no clue, however if we do get stuffed I think we can safely assume we wont finish higher than 11th at best ..... this will say a lot about our present squad2 points -

Plenty of superfit players in Scotland. Unfortunately lots can't perform the act of passing a football, tackling, shooting or even controlling a ball. Many concentrate on getting their hair perfect and wearing their favourite colour of boots. Also, some, I guess , actually practice diving and feigning injury rather than improving their footballing skills. AND THEY ALL GET VASTLY OVERPAID.2 points -

Run along...? You kept saying that - but when challenged you were unable to do so yourself - scared to do so yourself, especially against someone you berated for simply being older in age than you. (Not in body, of course. And your childish emoji-packed mind is not even worth mentioning.) You've lost the plot, skidmark. And in most Buddies' minds YOU are the forum idiot, I suggest. St Ricky had a difference of opinion and we debated. Used reason and civility. It's an adult activity (I know, I apologise.... Bill and Ben indeed . One of them has tens of thousands of posts on a site that he is obviously compelled to post on despite two trips to the Sin Bin , he seems to have learned nothing apart from showing no respect for Div or the Forum rules as during his last trip to the Sin Bin he simply created an alias and came back onto the main Forum . Despite the fact that he condemns some forms of invalidation he reads about in the S*n newspaper , he thinks nothing of invalidating all and sundry on this Forum . Perhaps he is already on the drugs this thread is about . . As for the other one , he has some sort of championing of the kind of pseudo "science" that gave us these questionable drugs in the first place . He can't seem to differentiate between conspiracy and plain old corruption or the huge vested interests that opperate in these drugs and the marketing thereof . Oakstur is almost like the Grand Inquisitor for dodgy science . As you mention by way of CNN , there is a huge legal drug cartel going on with the horrific point that they are now targeting young kids in both America and this country . This is shocking when it is known that ant-idepressants can cause suicidal tendencies in persons under 25yrs. . The drugs don't work they simply make people worse. .1 point -

Hopefully OK and the team know the significance of tomorrows match and give it their absolute all for 90 minutes Our record at Dens Park seems to be quite decent in recent times so I'm very hopeful we can get another result there OK said recently that even though we are losing games, the fans can see the hard work and commitment from the players. Totally different situation tomorrow, the result is the only thing that matters. COYS1 point

Poll: When Will Oran Match Alan?
Hagleybuddies reacted to Cornwall_Saint for a topic
Hi Alan, In 9 matches we failed to beat Queen's Park in 90 minutes, went 2-0 down to Spartans before earning a 90 minute draw, found ourselves 4-1 down at half time to Hearts, 3-0 down after 27 minutes to Aberdeen, were 2-0 early on at Ibrox and had our asses saved by a red card. His 11 signings have not strengthened the squad, a squad we knew needed to improve after promotion. Since your exit two loan signings have been sent back, the likes of Jeff King and Cole Kpekawa can't get a look in. Kearney has made improvements with just the free agency, Anton Ferdinand had been huge for us, Simeon Jackson is an improvement on the current strike force, but ideally needs a big lad next to him instead of a forward line of midgets. There's a player there, but he hasn't received the right support yet to suit his attributes. With Cooke appearing on Saturday it might be time to try him out alongside Jackson this weekend. Hammell is a good player but as known in his Barnsley days, the attitude wasn't always right. But Oran has had to bring in what he can and he's recruited well so far with limited options. Your career is not intact, Rotherham was a disaster and tbh the failure to get Hibs promoted in two attempts was appalling IMO, especially when a young Hearts side annihilated the Championship (with Sevco in there) and Hibs were nowhere near them. The one saving grace was that Scottish Cup success which ended their ridiculously long drought. Every St Mirren fan wanted Alan to do well. To not want to see him succeed, would you really be a Saints fan? f**k, I even backed Tommy Craig and I seen the absolute disaster he committed at my home club in Belgium when he helped end a spell of over 20 years in the top flight (thankfully we returned immediately). As much as I disliked the man, come match day I wanted to see him pull out a result because it's my club and I always want us to win. The fact is, things were looking so bad we had to act quickly. Oran gets given time because he's trying to sort out a mess he never created.1 point -
Brexit Negotiations
turrabuddie reacted to oaksoft for a topic
The analogy would be an adult making their own rules but those rules being subject to agreement with your siblings and also approved by mum and dad. The killer blow is that those rules can be over ruled by those established by the rest of your family. Additionally, you can only do trade deals as a family and not individually, These are core sovereign powers and there is genuine and understandable indignation that we need to suffer any restrictions. As for the human rights charter, we will still have one. It's just that the UK will write it with no regard to the thoughts of any other country. The immigration one is odd. If the UK wants UK citizens to move freely i. the EU, they have to reciprocate. Also, we need immigration to keep a wide range of businesses afloat - cleaning, nursing, farming at the bottom end and enterprise, software, IT etc at the top end. The idea that we will reduce overall immigration is pretty fanciful.1 point -

I reckon big Anton should be appointed captain from this point onwards. The guy is a natural leader, talked young Alfie through the game on Wednesday and even made time to talk to the fans after full time. With nearly 300 appearences in the EPL, we should be making the most of his experience. In terms of McGinn, he had struggled big time in the Premiership this season, I suppose it doesn't help trying to captain players which he publicly criticised a few weeks into the season. I've got a lot of time for Top Bin considering how much he has done for the club but he had been poor all season, clearly not playing to his full potential and ultimately should be dropped IMO1 point -

I have heard the McGinn injury story from various sources , including a couple who have been reliable with info in the past. I’m led to believe he has been playing with an underlying injury which is being treated but needs surgery and a spell out to fix. If this is true, I would rather we do it now rather than playing and risk further injury, as it is now, he appears to be losing fitness which does none of the parties any favours. If he is not injured, then I’m at a loss to explain why his performances have dropped and perhaps a spell out might help him regain focus , fitness and appetite.1 point -
