As previously stated, we have 10 months to tweak/amend/change the proposal for Saving the Pot. As I also explained, valuable intelligence was gained at the meeting from the Q&A held with the members who did attend the meeting. I met one fella in the pub later who was there, he told me he had voted for my proposal. If he was being honest, I can honestly tell you, he thought he had voted for the proposal. That may be an isolated case but, I watched how others reacted throughout the discussions and through the Q&A. Even before the vote, I acknowledged, perhaps some "rewording" was needed. I will not submit a proposal for the sake of submitting it & hoping for the best. I'll look at it again purely because there was encouragement from within the room, from members who voted against it. I am not one for giving up at the 1st hurdle but will give it another go, if I think there is justification to do so. Hopefully, others don't give up as easily as you are advocating. As a side note and I know you like using the numbers to back up an argument, 26 of 1221 SMISA members attended the AGM. 2.13% of the membership 26 of 26 SMISA members voted in the Members Resolution Vote. 100% of those in attendance. Now, back to them 2 stands that we needlessly give over to rankers & septic. For the benefit of St Mirren FC, It isn't worth the money There's a thought, offer up the SMISA 3 monthly spend to keep them in 1 stand only. sure fire winner.

Tough game. Think McKenzie needs to come into the team. And maybe Cody Cooke for Mullin or Jackson. Simply to match their long high ball game. And I think Cooke deserves his chance. But I think we can get the 3 points. Coys.

    Stephen McGinn. Does he understand?

Take this how you will, but I have been told you're spreading vicious (also untrue) rumours at the most important stage of the season for the club you support on a public forum, for what reason i'm not entirely sure.

...............and the fact is the circumstances are different, so it becomes a matter of opinion as to how to interpret them.

Beat them last time and we will beat them again. Will be watching my phone from what looks like a very hot kitchen tomorrow when I get the chance.. COYS

Agree with all of this. Need their height and physicality. Cooke really does deserve a chance. Bringing on Mullen and or Jackson later when Livi defenders are tiring.

I'm with you Oaky - it is getting so bad I am thinking of contacting the club and offering to pay the difference to ensure our fans don't get moved for every one of these games for the next decade. Would that end this war?

I do watch the programme. Didn’t think it would be my cup of tea. But it’s actually (IMHO) very funny. Uncle Colm is indeed a boring c**t. Just like Shull.......erm I mean Shetland.

Having watched last night's programme on BBC it certainly had my attention.. To see a satellite map of the earth with forests disappearing all over the world at an alarming rate, trees take out CO2 from the atmosphere and our need for Palm Oil brought home the reality of how grave the situation is. It needs everyone in the world to fix this global warming. Are we up for it ? I doubt many understand or can afford to make the changes needed to fix the problem. Radical changes are needed of everyday house hold goods. Do we care just live for the moment or are we up for action to be taken. Thoughts ?

Ah The Great Global Warming Swindle. The film which was criticised by two scientists who appeared in it. One of them was misrepresented and the other claimed faked data was used in the programme. Do you ever produce any evidence which isn't Wayne's World-esque? 🤣

Now we're getting somewhere you arrived at an opinion, just an opinion, not a fact - now that is a fact!

    I honestly wouldn't bet on it. 😫
  22. 1 point
That's an opinion not a fact as I pointed out there were different factors which would affect the attendance, the same is true for your other two examples - as I've said all along Apples & Oranges! The difference, Melchy is that I think you're entitled to your opinion, you don't think anyone is entitled to an opinion different to yours, like I said attritional posting doesn't win the argument!

The epitome of arrogance! We've already been through this numerous times, you're not comparing like with like & I don't & never have agreed they mean what you claim. You continue to conflate your opinion with facts, and we're back where we were on Tuesday!

It is looking like Hodson and Magennis are not ready for action yet, but may feature on the bench for a cameo performance when we are 3 goals up with 10 minutes to go . . .

Who is Uncle Colm actually replying to ? He seems to think that there are six people and they are all Taxi Drivers. Or does he really believe that there is just one person with multiple aliases. Anyway, he likes the attention with his red words and mental emoticons. Still boring though.

Well said IOBS. I am up for the fight with you. There is no choice, we're at a critical stage. We are running out of time. I will try and do my bit. Became a non meat eater a year ago and will be switching our family car to electric as quick as possible. I wish I was in London now supporting our troops on the streets.

FFS. Try listening to the Sportsound podcast. David Currie was asking both Kenny Miller and Stephen McGinn about the high turnover in January. Both players talked about it taking time for players to get used to their team mates and the way of playing. More so in St Mirren's case due to the number of foreign players and language problems. He also said the guys had now fitted in well; communication had improved and that we now had a formation everyone was comfortable with and was getting results. Kenny Millar was saying Dundee were not in that position. But never miss a chance to have a go at everything St Mirren. Spin like Donald Trump.

Only giving me the option of adult (£24 !) or concession at £16 - not letting you purchase an U16 ticket for £10 so pretty useless. And charging £1 to download a PDF to a mobile device is an total disgrace. Will just wait and buy them through there on Saturday !

Fairly obvious our captain is criticising guys like Baird, Flynn and the other McGinn for not being fluent in Czech and Romanian.

The truth - the problem was what happened before January, I don't see any problems with the article.............

No one is questioning there is a financial benefit - it's whether it's worth it. There are plenty cons to that one pro (I can't see any other advantage other than financial). I personally after the Celtic game am of the opinion it's not (I agreed with the decision to give them both stands reluctantly when it was made). Why should we be subjected to any of the circus they bring and why give away home advantage when it surely has an influence (negative) to the team on the park. Why should fans feel they don't want to attend a game in our stadium or worse still not bring their kids and why should ST holders be forced to move seats for them. It's far more than financial and I applaud Killie's stance. If that little bit extra cash is so vital (it really isn't) then we must be up shit creek !

I have to say that personally I would want to see Notre Dame take the headlines at the moment. If we focussed purely on death and injury we'd never hear about anything else. This is not just a building. This thing was being built less than 100 years after the 1066 Battle of Hastings. That building predates Shakespeare, Bannockburn, William Wallace, the discovery of gravity, quantum mechanics, the steam engine, Edward 1, Henry the Eighth and much of the Crusades. It is a magnficent building, steeped in culture, art, history and architecture. There aren't many buildings left which can boast that. It's a shame that we can't have a few days where something genuinely important is leading the news without someone complaining. Don't worry though, we'll be back to the depressingly endless catalogue of humans killing and maiming again within the week.
