No agent fees well done St Mirren football club.

I would genuinely change the ball boys for this by using the U16's or at least older kids. Some of the children at the St Johnstone game seemed to take ages getting the ball back,

St Mirren v Hamilton Mon 13th May

Mullen and Jackson may be better strikers, with more goals this season than the Duck and Cooke, but if they start on Monday then we need to play the ball to their feet or down the channels for them to run on to. If we're going to continue pumping high balls up front then I'd like to see either Duck or Cooke partner one of them.
  6. 3 points
Wit goals you talking about ? the pen he nearly missed and the shot that was heading down Murray st before the deflection
  7. 3 points
Danny's return is 6 goals in 26 appearances. Jackson 6 in 31. Nazon is a poor footballer and a non existent goal scorer. This is shown by his performances in a St.Mirren strip and OK's picking of Mullen & Jackson over him. So, it would suggest the manager isn't too fond of him either. Not sure why you're championing picking two bit part strikers in Nazon & Cooke to lead the line in our most important game of the split. A ridiculous suggestion tbh and makes no sense.

    The Play Offs

We didn't fair too well against Dundee Utd earlier this season. We seem to have gelled and found form sicne then. Very close to call, however, as you saw last night in Liverpool, football throws out some mental results, so I am confident that we will beat Hamilton and Dundee with Hamilton drawing with the fakes last game (fingers crossed anyway).

    Which two clubs?

f**k Cockwomble and his colt ideas. Clubs like Spartans have wanted to join the League for years but they are to be denied a place so OF colts can join to bring their bile and hatred to the lower Leagues? The Challenge Cup proved their is no appetite from supporters as many games involving colt teams had attendances in double figures. Colt teams were soundly beaten in competitive matches in that tournament anyway as the gap was far too big. And if there are 2 clubs in Scotland that rarely give youth a chance it is the OF. When the new Rangers started out they were in lower leagues but did not play young players. Instead they spent a fortune on experienced players as Rangers do not give young players a chance. There are 18 colt teams in Scotland but the 2 teams to be introduced are the OF colts? These colts are to have the 'advantage' of playing 'competitive' football over all the other colt teams making the big clubs stronger and the wee clubs weaker? The colt teams to get their share of the prize pot as well? It makes a mockery of Scottish football when established Clubs have to play games at the likes of Murray Park and Lennoxtown. f**k Cockwmble and his colts. Edit to add: I hope our Club ask SMiSA and the Fans Trust for opinion before they vote on this issue.

Very very very high admission price for what could be a bounce game. Still extortionate for a competitive match also.

It's a wonderful skill to know the will of over 1,100 non voters! For all you know, if pushed to vote, they could all be in favour of change but be denied that democratic right by the "champion of democracy" when people are told what they will get once voted! You cannot uphold democracy then deny it just to suit your own personal stance on a debate. Well, actually, YOU can! [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

YES THIS ^^^^ we will beat Hamilton 2 to nil - they are just physical and mostly terrible footballers. When we win that game, we will have momentum, mindset and determination to destroy Dee on the final fixture.. I am hoping the Fakes still have a shout at 7th for their last game - if so, they will beat Hamilton too . . .

St Mirren v Hamilton Mon 13th May

Saturday was a must win game and neither of these two got a shot on target. All four of the strikers offer something different, I just think we need to mix them up for this game, especially as we have lost the creative ability of Dryer and possibily Flynn

And the clamber for a ticket if we beat Hamilton on Monday will be the opposite. Certain people will treat the Dens Park game as a cup final and show up for that reason.

IF the manager and players are not right up for this one I'd be surprised - and although Hamilton should be too, they are not on a great run, other than managing to beat the worst team in the league by a dubious penalty. I liked Ross Stewart, but think he has managed 11 goals in the Championship this season - He is not the answer right now. We have 4 strikers - so they should be vying for game time. The Duck can shield a ball well and is physically strong, he has a goal scoring record which has not materialised for us though; Mullen and Jackson are our top scorers (so probably the more likely to score again) and Cooke is up and coming - possibly a better version of Ross Stewart next season. He is most likely to get 20 - 35 minutes maximum as a sub. (Although actually this might be a game for him because he is physically up for it for 1/2 a game say). The big deal is getting the 1st and hopefully 2nd goals - they are not great but have shut up shop in defence better recently - but if they need to come out - they will be easier to expose further... and we need to go for the jugular and not sit back on a one goal lead.... I think we neither support the strikers well, nor play to their strengths - usually high balls rather than to feet. We need them to stretch Hamilton's 3 CB set up into wide areas and then go right through the middle with midfield support... Magennis perhaps, maybe MacAllister at times, maybe one of the McGinns - it is not a huge threat though is it? I think our CB's could be a threat if we have free kicks into their box, but need to cover for them too. Perhaps it will be one of these days when things fall in our favour and our players hit the net as if they are lethal strikers - but we will soon see.. Goals from Jackson, and Magennis OR a McGinn for me - 2 v 0 3 lovely points . . .

You're never going to get any specific figures on any individual's salaries. However, it was said at the AGM in December that due to break clauses, Stubbs was only paid the remaining 9 months of the first year of his contract.

It is hard to imagine that Celtic would let him go, but they are more in the know than we are about how he is doing. I think his issues boil over and effect his character, but he can score goals at a level we would be lucky to have in a striker at this level. If he is available, the chances of him coming to us is less than 0.05 % I suspect... could we pay a wage that he would be happy with? That is why I was suggesting Jordan White . . .

You are asking some odd questions. Accounts need to be audited . . . and our accounts will be available on the public record... Of course Directors won't want the accounts to boldly show bad news, and some things can be categorised in with other items, there are limits... Conspiracy theorist - it is good to question - but daft to just presume it must be terrible... No agents fees shown in the article - means no agents fees for sure . . .

Obviously not via their agents. Would suggest that there were clauses in their contracts relating to performance and compensation on termination, so any payments were made to the individual. It will (should) come out in the wash when the relevant accounts are published but I'm guessing it will just be lumped in with the wage costs. However, I have been told it's not as much as people think given they were desperate to get back into the game.

Over the last five games we have the same form on paper as Hamilton. 3 draws, 1 win, 1 loss. So really it doesnt matter, its all about who will go out and try to win the game from the off? the longer it remains 0-0 the more obstinate and frustratating, time wasting etc will be deployed. If they go ahead, again mote of the same. We have to score first to commit them to play, then we can dissect them bit by bit. Biggest fear is Oran being his cautious self, playing the. Midgets up front and not getting us into the game, which will suit Accies down to the ground. said before, start with The Duck & Cooke up front and batter them with crosses, set pieces and long balls into the channels. Then if we've got a lead to defend second half, throw on the midgets to roll around picking up fouls, bookings etc. If Kearney goes cautious we will concede and get done.

If ‘Old Firm’ colt sides are admitted to the Scottish football senior league system, and they are the only two colt sides to appear in it, then I’m finished with Scottish football, and despite my long love affair with St Mirren, I want no part of what would frankly be a sickening development in our top level national game. The entire country may as well just switch the lights off before taking it up the arse from Lawell and King. Pains me to say it, but just my personal view, I would simply be finished with Scottish senior football, and after a while, I’d just become another ‘lapsed’ St Mirren fan. Let’s hope this disgusting scenario never comes to pass. FTOF.

Someone even made the terrible decision of having him in at Saints as a strikers coach for a while. Pretty poor show to have picked up a wage from your hometown team, and then talk to the press about how you want them relegated. And then dredge up the near career ending tackle of Norrie without showing any remorse. I appreciate he has an affinity towards Dundee, but he is showing himself up as the braindead wee ned he is really.
