  1. Anything but aimless , just watched it again and Wallace looks up and sees Obika and lifts it over the two cart horse defenders.

  2. Nothing will be announced by SPL/SFA till after sevco get desperately needed cash in. IE after the match v Celtic on Sunday Sevco's survival is the vital thing, here.

  3. That was a funny read. The Thommo seethe is brilliant. My personal favourite was when some nugget sad “what has Thompson ever won?” And one of his chums came back saying “the League Cup.....against us” 🤣 Hilarious.

  4. There is one performer on the park who deserves to get a mention and that is the referee. He never put a foot wrong 😊

  5. Back safe and sound. Terrific performance and fantastic result. Well worth the long journey, and well worth the wait ! Next match will be RC in Dingwall (unless Coronavirus intervenes)

    Welcome Jonathan Obika

YET still people moan about him every game! Love that he sticks them away, plays with a smile and it’s clear our team love him. He’ll be huge for us in the coming weeks.

  8. This reminds me of the 2006/07 when we lost 1-0 to Dunfermline at home at a crucial time and we looked doomed. Then we turned it around and stayed up at the expense of........Dunfermline after heroic wins at Falkirk, Dundee Utd and that game against Motherwell. I wouldn't be writing Hearts off any time soon, It might require another 3 wins and a draw to be sure of avoiding 11th/12th.

  9. Waters out as a loanee and possibly the three who went off injured out too. Gonna be tough.

  10. One angle it definitely looks that way, another, it looks like it comes off the defender. I sincerely hope it was Obika's arm.

  11. Aren't they also under pressure when they have those silly walks every other week in Glasgow and surrounding areas and that also includes her followers.

  12. Football fans of all teams are known for a kneejerk reaction now and again. If we had lost in the same manner last, I reckon it would have been a similar reaction on here from some. Definitely not over yet , but that result has given us some breathing space.

  17. Wallace can cover for Waters... BUT... He finished a hard game carrying an injury and can he be risked on an artificial... Also... If McCarthy is out, Foley will have to cover in defence leaving us short in midfield. Wallace would have been my first pick replacement for him. Too soon for McGinn? McGrath looked better through the middle and tried to drive us forward... but number one sub TA was stuck in reverse gear against the Jambos when he came on and I struggle to see why he repeatedly gets on ahead of others. Huge game as a win for Saints would really pull Killie back into the relegation dogfight.

  18. Interesting, would we be saying that if we had lost last night

  19. Imagine hating your team this much, what a bitter individual. 😂 Like most other fans, still buzzing from last night. What a position we’ve put ourselves in for a very strong finish to the season.

  20. As I said in another thread... With the corona-virus encroaching upon the UK, the government is now voicing the possibility of banning public events. As we know, Italy has taken steps in cancelling sport or having them played behind closed doors. If this materialises here then I would ask the club to prepare for that scenario and make live Buddievision coverage accessible to fans and free to STHs.

  21. Jakubiak has proved to be a great signing. Very strong on the ball and has a great turn of pace. Set up MacPherson and was denied a goal by Zlamal's fingertips. As others have mentioned, just needs a bit more awareness in the final ball area. A real team player. Thought McGrath had a good game too.

  22. Great team performance tonight and a very welcome 3 points, or was it 6? Hmm. We essentially had no midfield once Cammy went off but thought McGrath done well and Andreu did as well as an attacking midfielder with his hands up his sleeves could do. Lack of options on bench left Goody no option. Big Sam immense in both roles, MotM by a distance. Big Jon does what big Jon does. A pest for CH's and took his goal, well, he took his goal although looked like he handled it before Halkett smashed it off his foot into the net. Typical Obika goal. The guy is fast becoming a cult hero and does many of the not pretty things magnificently. 12 so far, go Jon! Jak was excellent and showed he has a great engine. A real baller but sometimes needs to lift the head a bit in killer situations. Will be an asset in the run in at our level. Hladky class as ever and Famewo never put a foot wrong. Full backs good and we have a player in Wallace. Vision for the goal top notch. Reads the game well, cultured left foot and you can see he's operated at levels above us. Again be an asset in the run in. Hope the injuries not too bad but fear McCarthy done for the foreseeable. MacPherson and Durmus shouldn't be out long. Anyway we have breathing space and a massive result this evening. COYS

  24. Mentions required Hladky - solid, classy, great distribution Waters - great game tonight Famewo - solid Foley - man of the match by a distance Wallace - great vision for the assist McGrath - showed why he is so highly rated, far better in the number 10 role Obika - an absolute enigma. Love him though, plays for the badge and finds the net Jakubiak - puts in a shift The fans - showed Hearts fans how you’re meant to support your team. They were booing every sub- we were getting right behind our team. Great noise all around the ground, made the difference tonight

  25. Big mention deserved to Callum Waters. I'm usually his biggest critic but he was absolutely superb tonight and would have been my pick for MOTM.

  26. 9 league goals, only 3 behind Morelos who gets all the chances and refereeing decisions going in his favour Put Obika in Celtic’s side and he’d be the leading scorer in the Premiership.

  32. Looking like any public gathering (outdoor) of more than 500 people will not be permitted, and 100 for indoor events Perhaps we could replace the rest of the season with something similar to the Tennants Sixes - I'd watch that

  35. Might be the last update of the season...☠️ The current figure after 15 games is 5376 https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/scottish-premiership/attendances *************************** Currently up on last season's 5341 (source @St.Ricky) which as I said on P1 is pretty decent with Ross County bringing a far smaller support than Dundee (on both occasions!

  36. And breathe.... Wow what a night? It will never go down as a classic, but the job got done on Hearts. A typical nervy six pointer relegation slug fest. Kudos to Goody and the team for denying Hearts any momentum. They made them look like a knackered, ragged bunch. Big concern on the three injuries, McPherson and McArthy look like 4-6 week recovery, Durmus looked to be playing with a Groin strain, hopefully they can settle that down. Yet again we will be looking to Big Mac, to roll back the years, hitch the shorts up, and dominate in his position. With Cammy likely out for the foreseeable, then S. MCginn may have the chance of a swan song... No doubting his commitment, but can he come straight in and handle the pace and intensity? Take all the busses to Killie and park them on the pitch. To not lose would be a cracking result!

  37. Annoyed that I missed the game last night. had made arrangements to be at the original game in February before it was rained off. Couldn't postpone a family commitment last night so had to make do with recording the Alba coverage, which I've just watched. Sorry if the following comments have already been made, but haven't had time to look back through the thread. Not a great match, but that wasn't to be expected given what was at stake. What counted was not silky soccer, but grit and heart (no pun intended). Buddies ahead in these qualities by a long way. Foley, Obika, Jakubiak, Durmus and MacPherson (before the last two had to go off) all in great form. Was excellent to see both Obika and Jakubiak back in our penalty area helping the defence out at times. Still not sure why Goodwin persists with Andreu as his go-to substitute, but he did run about a bit and made a nuisance of himself when he came on. I don't speak Gaelic, but I gathered from the caption that TV made Obika Man of the Match. It could have gone to a number of our players. My preference would have been either Foley or Wallace. The latter was just the guy for last night, a good pro who looked like he had bags of experience of scrapping through games like this. As good as we were, I thought Hearts had very little to offer. Let's hope that continues. They play RC and Accies in the next few games, so they still have chances to come back. Anyway, COYS!!

  39. Great battling performance. As usual Foley was superb. Cant remember Hladky making a save. Thought our 2 full backs rose to the challenge. Was talking to Foley and Hodson in the executive club area and they were saying. Conor being subbed was precariously was feeling his hammy. And the two others were impact injuries and should be alright for Sat. Great 3 points. On to Killie. Coys

  41. After tonight we have a possible 4 home games behind closed doors well if that should happen i have a "reasonable" idea to aide the club When the games are played the fans could at anytime ...before or after buy a ticket for the game and KEEP the ticket Then they could be allowed by the club as a thank you to use those tickets to get into 4 games next season for half price Even season ticket holders could buy tickets and then next season sell them to a friend for half price and dont forget those games next season will have away fans paying full whack so it will ease the burden to the lack of finance in the next 4 home games this season just an idea (looks for tin hat emoji )

What I didn't tell you was that I also stocked up on pasta, pasta sauces, rice, candles, matches, a gas canister for my camping stove, tins of tuna, salmon, herring and pilchards. There may even be a bag of flour in there somewhere. I can't remember, I was too busy emptying the shelves. Know why? Cos I don't give a f**k FS. Family first and f**k everyone else. I waited until I saw the first sign of other people behaving like animals and then I piled in like a 400 pound gorilla. They started it.

  43. Bit harsh people criticising Jakubiak and Andreu IMO. We're all guilty of frustration at times but I don't think anybody warranted it last night. Seems to be fashionable to pelter some players, before christmas it was Obika and Waters. Now the same people complaining about that at the time are rounding on the likes of Andreu and Morias. FWIW, I thought Jakubiak was great last night and had been a really good foil for Obika. Andreu came on and gave the pressing we needed as our legs had gone

Going by reports from Italy, the problem isn't the 80%, the problem is the concentration of cases in one particular location. Although it might be low in comparison to total population, there's info coming out of certain hospitals in North Italy where they're literally having to choose who to help and who to let die.... also the hospital staff are getting sick and having to work on, despite already having symptoms. It could get pretty grim if we don't contain it

  46. You would think definitely, to be fair I thought they were safe as the chances of all 3 teams below them winning enough games to trouble County looked very unlikely 2/3 weeks ago. County have a strange run of fixtures that is either good or bad depending how you look at it, they have 8 games left - 2 v St Mirren 2 v Hamilton 2 v Hearts 1 v St Johnstone 1 v Kilmarnock. Everything is in their hands with fixtures like that.
