Been reading on the difficulties food banks are having as panic buying/hoarding and just general disruption to normal life is having on donations to their cause. So thought given the fantastic response to the BAWA 12 goals of Christmas, and the superb effort buddies make when there is a food bank collection... Could a Cross Bar Challenge be organised with Saints Legends, Managers/Coaches past and present, to be conducted live, but streamed with no crowd attending, and reasonable safeguards in place for those taking part. Then we could all wager on our favourite, or better still have a number draw so you dont know which legend you've got if you drew Number 7 until the name is pulled out the hat just before they shoot. As well as raising much needed funds for a great, and in immediate need cause, it could be a bit of a tonic for footy starved buds across the globe. Any thoughts?

Just saying it sounds like you're trying to point score a bit , don't mind speculation but I don't like the "told you it was nothing to worry about!" stuff, it's a pretty serious threat. Also there's a difference between worried about the direction things are going, and being hysterical / panic buying. Fear mongering media ain't helping - seen the Daily Record putting out shite about Scotland having "the perfect corona virus climate" earlier Aye cos our climate is the same as Italy - absolute wanks

Well i'm not a violent person but just been in Asda. Saw a fella who's trolley was full to the brim with hand sanitizers, baby wipes, soaps, milk etc. Everything that people need!!! Prick 😠 Gave him a low down about the elderly and mums etc who need these types of things. Told him he ought to be f**king ashamed of himself!! 😠😠 He said "That's all well and good mate but i work here, can i carry on filling the shelves now?"

Barcabhoy (a poster on Celtic forums and TSF The Scottish Football Forum) produced the above table a while ago. It is a wee bit out of date now (December) and Motherwell, for instance, are more solid with some player sales made. Sevco just needs that £30m for Morelos and it'll be ok, too. Or a unicorn to lay them a golden egg...?

Whit? For the 28th f**king time, this is NOT, I repeat NOT about absolute death numbers. This is about slowing the damn thing down so the NHS is not overwhelmed. How can you still not be getting this?

No lavvy paper or pasta and a lack of rice in Tesco in the east end of paisley. Plenty of beers but that will likely change when the bars get closed down Lots of other empty shelfs but I don't know what was on them. The stuff in some people trolley had to be seen idiots

For context simple models show that Covid-19 could potential (worst case scenario) result in 200,000 death over a year, a likely scenario is about 10,000 deaths. (there are loads of predictions out there take you pick) Each year 500,000 deaths occur in the UK all causes. Even a modest prediction would be around 1,000 deaths.

Comparison with other diseases is irrelevant. TB, whooping cough, measles, HIV kill thousands worldwide. However, they are preventable through vaccination etc. We are facing a virus here which will not kill me, but could easily kill my daughter due to her medical history and dozens of other relatives just through exposure to it. The actual numbers that may die are spurious as they are based on computer models and limited accurate data. The rise in deaths across Europe attributed to this virus have to be taken seriously. However it is a nonsense for our government to delay a major lockdown yet consider lengthy and protracted school closures later which with other possible actions could knock outs and the global economy back decades. It is incredible that l will walk into a school tomorrow and mix with over 1500 youngsters having already seen three people sent home to self isolate on Friday. Why are we still open? Only because no one was tested and as a result we don't know. Football can wait until we have a better idea of what is happening

The worst thing about being the brightest guy in the room is that when you screw up there's no one in your bright enough to help you out. I'm not Richard Brandon's greatest fan but he has it right when he says {I paraphrase) get people brighter than you around you in your team.

Asda Linwood at 6.15 this evening looked like a mindless swarm of human locusts had infested it during the day. Apart from the usual missing items, beans, soup, jams, fresh meat, fish and cat food amongst many, were all decimated. Fortunately for my cat, because it's so fussy, I keep a large selection in reserve. Otherwise it would have had to catch some mice. 😾🐀 Wasn't all bad though. Managed to get a case of Tiger for a tenner and a couple of bottles of prosecco for my wife.🍾🍺

While you have your own business I'm in charge of running somebody else's business. The effect of absenteeism has a direct effect on my ability to deliver. Aye, do you think the paying job money comes from the money tree? I know you always only think about yourself so I'll not bother trying to get you to see the bigger picture. I have every sympathy for every business, and this could be the end of many who are operating on a very short turnover period.

I have one of my men off, self isolating. The guys on the shop floor were running a book, he was red hot favourite. This is opening the door for malingerers, taking over from stress. On the supermarket thing, I'm way ahead of the pack, stocking up with alcohol. When pubs shut it will be like prohibition, I'll make a fortune. 🤧
