    Season Tickets 20/21

I can only assume that you are not a St. Mirren shareholder. The purchase of shares is definitely wishful thinking if a person believes it will ever give return. I remember about 25 years buying some shares at, I think, £50 each just so I would get a St. Mirren shareholders certificate. Then, no more than a few years later, my dad told me that shares were being issued at 50p each. That made me laugh and I bought my dad some. You've never seen a man more happy with his son. Why do people do it? For me, if I don't see a game for the next 12 months because of this virus, I will be more concerned about the survival of St. Mirren F.C. than the £144 I've spent on an adult concession. You can call me a fool or a person who is proud be known as a Paisley Buddie. I know which one I am.

    Coronavirus

The Buffoon has lied and conned himself into a position that is VERY MUCH a concern of modern British society and mine because - instead of keeping his mind on the job, concentrating in the task at hand and leading (all of which he has never been able to do) - he has been deploying a litany of excuses for not doing his job. Or just being posted MISSING. The spaffing of kids is not my concern but if you'd been paying attention that was the subject raised by another poster - to whose post I was replying. The Buffoon has shown no signs of such paternal devotion to his many other kids. Leaders should be accountable and visible to be brought to account. It's not 1950 any more. I hope this helps?

Actually that is a very positive article by Frances and it makes a really nice change to see a union talking positively about things. A lot of what she is asking for seems perfectly reasonable. I do like the idea of increasing the NMW to £10 and really I think that needs to happen as soon as we get out of the lock-down and I'm open to the idea that there should be no age restrictions to that amount. If I had two employees - one at 18 and the other 25, they'd almost certainly both be paid the same if they were doing essentially the same job. I would want them to earn enough to have a comfortable standard of living and be working few enough hours (probably no more than 6 hours per day) that they could have the time and energy to enjoy their a home life. I'm coming round to that argument quite quickly. I'm less impressed by the call for public sector pay rises. I just don't think they are a priority at the moment. I also like the call to arms. VERY unusual to hear a union talking like that. Very welcome. So there's some decent stuff in there. I'm going to ignore that last paragraph because it's full of chip on shoulder nonsense. WTF were you thinking when you posted that?

Let me ask you this, say football didn’t start back for 3 years. Would you continue to pay for a season ticket every year? Only if it was guaranteed to give you grief.

  12. I think under these unique circumstances, it’s clear that those who can afford to buy ( knowing the ‘bigger picture’ is actually to help the club as opposed to the amount of games they may or may not see ) are putting the club before themselves. I applaud this sentiment

These'll do for a start... https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/may/19/unions-call-national-recovery-council-rebuild-uk-economy Maybe you want us to tug our forelocks to the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg whose investment company stated that the current pandemic was a chance to make "super normal returns" or perhaps you admire the brass-necked founder of Matalan who is currently suing his tax consultants after having to pay back £35M with another £84M under review while claiming tax deferrals, business rates exemptions worth £40M and cheap government loans - but hey "we're all in it together".

You have repeatedly made comments about his children without anyone else talking about it. It's legitimate to talk about his dishonesty in his day job but bringing his family into it is pretty f**king low behaviour.

  33. One of the current debates is when can people get away on holiday, I mean abroad. I was originally reasonably sure later in the year, October onward, we could get away. Then I wavered and thought this year would be a "no go" for everyone. Now other countries are already slowly opening up and the signs are that the current obstacles over flights and quarantine could be overcome. I've already mentioned we've been ok with a full refund so we're primed and ready to go, if the opportunity arises later in the year. Slightly concerned the prices will initially rise, if so, they can shove it, I'll wait till next year.

  39. I get the impression there are a small number of people on this forum who think they are superfans. However, I don't feel the need to start a fecking pointless thread about them. I don't give a monkeys testicle if you agree with me or not.

  40. What I will say, the early bird discount should be the flat season ticket price for this season. This would at least serve a couple of purposes. Firstly, It wouldn't make anyone feel pressured into buying a ticket just now when financial uncertainty is still a very real threat for a lot of people. Secondly, people don't know what they are getting in terms of number of games they can attend (or even how many games will be in the season) for next season regardless. It would be a decent gesture to announce the early bird price is actually being extended out to just being the full season ticket price this year. It is highly unlikely that we will get to our full allocation of 18/19 home games anyway. I don't have a problem buying my ticket and have already done so, but I'm not keen on the whole 'buy early, guarantee your seat' campaign in current times. If ticket is set at £303 (adult, west stand), then it should be out there at that price until the season starts - that way folk can choose if they want to invest/donate or not instead of feeling they need pony up just now. Several folk will likely be back at work by late July/early August...I don't like idea of them missing out on their seats or having to pay extra because they couldn't do so in May or June.

  41. Reading some of these posts. I think some people think its compulsory to renew their season ticket right away. Your not. The club is saying if you can please do. I'm sure they understand some are struggling money wise. Nobody is a superfan like someone said cos they bought theirs early. All Saints fans are Superfans. They support their hometown team without question. Dont think it's time for bickering. Rant over. Coys.

  42. £480 now... £540 after early bird. Value for money? For what? I'm basically being asked to donate to the club to help keep it afloat... With the threat of losing seats we have held since the first full season if we don't snap them up. I get that. To those who can afford it... Great stuff. I'm currently furloughed. No idea when or if I will be able to return to work. Come August, almost certainly on reduced wages. Taking a step back and being totally rational... I genuinely cannot justify buying season tickets at this time.

  46. Correct I wanted to , my money to do as I please and if it is on Buddievision (still hope it’s not) then so be it . If the season starts with no fans allowed then that’s how it goes , I will be able to ask about a rebate on my early bird tickets and I’m also helping the club out financially at a time there is no cash flow.Does that make me a super fan🤔
