Morias had a very good game yesterday, particularly in the first half. He was a constant nuisance and the Accies back line struggled to keep him in check. My only criticism of him is that he snatched a bit wildly at the two chances that came his way but he certainly turned in every bit as good a performance as Jakubiak was doing last season and folk were raving over him for.

I didn't see the game but from the highlights I thought Morias looked good. He is improving and his lack of composure, which I'm sure will improve, reflects the overdetermination that he has. He gives 100% every game and that has to be admired. Watch this space, the goals will come.

To counter the negativity. It’s the third game of a new season. We are sitting on two wins out of three. We have basically a new defence that has had two clean sheets. We have two of our best players out injured. Dust of those passports. Europe here we come via a Scottish Cup win. ok maybe I took that too far, but for crying out loud give the negativity a break.

St Mirren v Ross County 22/8/20

Jim’s juggernaut rolls back into Paisley town after a couple of away games. Imagine if we won this too? Why not. We beat the Staggies 2-1 in Paisley in November in the last meeting between the sides, a delightful late winner from our current captain Sam Foley. If we did win we would go third and - assuming Dundee Utd don’t beat Celtic - we would stay there for at least a week. Of course this will be a tough game, County had a good start to the season winning their first two games. Stuttered in the last two though. Took the lead against Killie midweek then drew and then took the lead against United yesterday and then lost. Means they’re only one point above us having played a game more. Our team will be full of confidence and I think we will do enough to edge it. I’m going to go for a fourth St Mirren 1-0 win in our last five games. Miss some chances to get the second then grind it out again.

Other than the OF and perhaps Aberdeen and Hibs away, can anyone name an opponent and venue where we would NOT be expecting to get something from the game? We're one striker short of having a potentially very special season.

Could do with Sevco dropping points today as part of our title push.....

What about the double winning promotion in 2006? Keeping us up in 2004? Our first cup final in 33 years? Gus turned us from a club who spent most of its time in the second tier - one top flight season in the 15 years prior to us winning the league in 2006 - to a club who now spends most of its time in the top flight. Just three second tier campaigns in the last 14 years. What an improvement.

So, three points won away from home today. Our second clean sheet in three matches played. An away game against one half of the OF already out of the way. Six points ahead of the bottom of the table. Two first choice midfielders who have been unavailable through injury are both likely to be back within a few weeks. No hard luck stories of silly points lost or thrown away to bleat about. What's to complain about ?

I think the point he's making is that calling 6 points from 3 games (our best top flight start in 14 years), just 'reasonable' is quite severely downplaying it. It's a fantastic start. Particularly as both sides we've beaten have given us a whole host of problems in recent years.

I think we are unbeaten at home since last year, so have turned our ground into a difficult place for teams to pick up points. Have seen County a couple of times this season and have been impressed by them. Can see this one being another tight affair but hopefully we'll shade it. 2-1 Saints.

Only saw highlights and some radio reports but , goalie apart, pretty unimpressed with that showing. Unless a decent forward is brought in we will not score enough goals as the front two yesterday are not of the required standard. I also think the plastic pitch should be banned when paying customers are allowed back. It spoils the game. 6pts from 9 is reasonable but a forward urgently required.

But for his finishing he would have had an excellent game. He fashioned a couple of chances on his own, and the one he forced the 'keeper into a save was harder than the effort he blasted over the bar. Given that Durmus, when he came on, had three weedy shots from good positions, I think shooting practice and composure whilst finishing should be focussed upon this week for the forwards.

But then they land on surfaces, survive for hours and then get touched by someone who hasn't been within miles of the person that exhaled them. How many people have been infected by direct transmission and how many have been infected by indirect transmission? Answer - we don't know.

Hope he finds it before then the cup game’s aren’t till October... Regardless Jim has made no secret of his desire to sign a striker. We can’t - and won’t - have Obika and Morais as our only forward players by the end of the month. Morais is a good squad player who will get a lot of minutes for us this season, mostly from the bench.

His finishing is the issue for me and has been all along. As I say the potential is there but I'm not sure it is going to be realized. Really do hope he comes good in that sense as I agree the other aspects of his game are fine. If we are going to aim for top six and I think we should be then we need someone to complement the goals that Obika will give us. I get your point on Jakubiak but he was an allround better player than Morais IMO

    Help needed

It wasn't taken, the referee blew for full time. Bastrads got you on a technicality. One thing I always hated was referees blowing for full time with the ball in the air after the taking of a goal kick. It was done so a goalkeeper retrieved the ball and save the referee for going for it. [emoji6]

They certainly played better against Livy but the amount of chances Accies had was more down to the midfield not being able to cope with them in the 2nd half imho. I blame the pitch

Particularly an away win in the top flight. Any away win at this level is a very good win regardless of circumstance. You’ll still get some of our fans going ‘I know we won, but’ though.

I do believe BtB has previously expressed a culinary interest in the rich as a protein rich source of nutrition. I wonder whether Nicola Sturgeon (who is undoubtedly rich) will be his starter, main course or pudding?

We started the 2006/2007 season with two wins if I remember correctly. We beat ICT 2-1 Away and then beat Motherwell 2-0 at Home. Going to Parkhead for Game Three we were Top of the League.

Six points and two clean sheets from our first three games. What a start! Two of those games against two of last seasons top five aswell. What a job Jim has done. That’s us won three of our last four games one nil, you don’t do that at this level unless you’re a seriously well organised and well coached team. Question for the stattos... when did we last have six or more points after three games of a top flight campaign?
