Undoubtedly our defending for the goals was very poor. However, for that wee prick Collum to miss both the penalty (you won't see a clearer hand ball all season) and Boyle's handball for the goal is criminal. Given his uber vigilance in the Shaughnessy sending off it rankles a tad. I wonder if the poster that was telling us just how good an official Collum is after his role in the aforementioned sending off will be on to reinforce his view.

Disappointed about yesterday but not too downhearted. With Jak and Shaughnessy in the team I reckon we would not have lost at least 2 of yesterdays goals although Hibs deserved the win overall. I was a critic of Ethan 2 seasons ago (and I know he was playing out of position), Many players have to play out of position at some point but he looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights most of the time showing little calmness or game intelligence. However yesterday I ate my words where he demonstrated both those qualities. Don't know why Cammy is missing but he has to come back into the team. McGrath has nice touches but needs more energy around him - think Foley and Cammy can improve his input. Connolly looked decent on the right and should improve. I also thought Dennis showed a few nice touches. But Erwin could be a big player for us playing through the middle (I saw a video of a goal he scored in training on Thu and it was a peach from outside the box). He holds the ball up well, closes down and can shoot from outside the six yard box . If we sign the left sided player we are after then hopefully that means we can play Tait at CH if necessary in an emergency and not have to disrupt the midfield. So there are quite a few positives on the horizon now the squad is beginning to take shape.

Just seen it on tv and wonder how the lineman didn't see the 1st hand ball never mind Collum. Shame he wasn't 4th official yesterday since he seem to be able to see something from 30 yards away better than from 10 yards [emoji107]

At least Shaughnessy is back. You just know that we'll go five in midfield with Sheron there to kick people about, which is all he appears to be good at. Sadly a horsing is on the cards.

4-5-1. Big Shaugnessy back at CB. Midfield of McGrath, Foley, Ethan, Cammy and a winger playing wide with Erwin starting up front.

I really do find it intriguing that the infection rates are high again but the hospital admissions and deaths are not relative. Something is not right with all of this - just seems to me that if this trend continues (minimum deaths and admissions) they absolutely HAVE to open everything up ASAP. Enough is enough!!

Obika is a decent finisher. Hard to judge the new guys as I've yet to see them missing loads I know it will get me pelters but I think Obika is very very average and not the finisher a lot of people think he is. I thought Erwin showed a lot of what we have been missing up front yesterday and gave Hanlon and Porteous a lot more grief than anything Obika could ever show. They had Obika in their pocket all game. I actually though Dennis looked ok when he was on. Looked like he could get in the right positions and capable. Obika needs a rocket up him and I think Erwin and Dennis are the guys to hopefully do it. Hoping Dennis injury isn't as bad as first feared.

Everything you say imo is 100% spot on add in Flynn and Magennis we have (again just my opinion) a far better than a bottom 2/3 squad the disappointing thing is although we can all see ability in all the players mentioned whether it's tactics or something else too many of them their poor performances seem to outweigh the good ones. Another thing I constantly bleat on about that needs fixed is our woeful away record 4 wins pre split in 3 & a bit seasons is terrible even Hamilton have a better record than that including wins at Aberdeen and Rangers.

I've just watched an epidemiologist from WHO on the Andrew Marr show, who was asked why cases are rising but hospitalisations are not. She said there were a number of factors. Mainly, increased testing means most of the new cases are people with mild disease, transmission is now more prevalent among younger, less at risk groups and treatment, even in the absence of a vaccine, is now much better. She advised Covid has a current fatality rate of 0.6%. On lockdown, she said the key to controlling the spread was testing, tracing and isolating those ill, while everyone should comply with hygiene measures in their everyday interactions. She said lockdown was a method used by some governments to buy themselves time by improving health capacity and testing regimes, but indicated that at this stage of the pandemic they had little benefit. Time we stopped restricting people's movement.

Leeds done exactly what was expected. High intensity style of play, never panic going a goal down & had more possession than Liverpool ( Leeds stats : very normal to dominate all games regardless of result ) The two best football teams in England in the last two years going head to head, what an opener. The ball was in the net eleven times, two penalties & 7 goal thriller. I figured score draw prior to the game, wasn’t to be. Some you win, some you lose. Welcome to the premier club Leeds United

Yep, reasonable side that would have given Hibs a far better run than what JG sent out yesterday. At some point JG is going to hopefully work out who his best players are and finally get his tactics correct.

Hope your feeling better now. One of my colleagues caught it way back in March from her husband (works in NHS) he had a slight temperature for a day, she had all the symptoms and was floored for 10 days. She returned to work last week. Said she couldn’t believe how fatigued it made her feel, she could only walk to the end of the street before having to come home and lay down. That went on for about 8 weeks but now back to normal. Appears to effect people differently.

Why do the SFA/SPFL let Collum away with it every week. He's totally incompetent. Yet every he walks away with his in his back pocket. Dont if its true. But I would hope think Ssints have complained. But will probably get no where. Shocking Ref

It will be difficult but it may be that they will have to train with different equipment in different areas since we can't risk losing all 3 again. Sure the club will try something to reduce the risk of it happening again.

Maybe if everyone could do that, then there would be no requirement for any lockdown. Sadly, having house parties with 30-40 people makes it impossible to comply with the basic hygiene measures required. Especially when you factor in alcohol. Like it or not, it's that type of arrogant idiocy that's driving lockdown, not getting your mate over to watch the football, whilst sitting at opposite ends of the room. I do think the current restrictions and 14 day quarantine are OTT, but if the government do nothing you just know that the individuals whining most loudly at present will be the first to criticise them if it all goes tits up. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I like the 4 midfielders you mention but unfortunately the fact they all prefer centre midfield means at best we will probably only see 3 maximum or most likely 2 most games otherwise imo no point playing them. As we saw from Ethan yesterday out of his best position he looked very poor last 2 seasons but yesterday was our best player by a mile. Some players like Flynn can adapt to other positions easily unfortunately for us not many others can do the same.

If we've got the option of 5 subs we could have a forward closing down at full pelt in each half without affecting our potential to need to make subs at other times, most of the time the front players are ambling about, it is a different game with the additional subs available.

Aye, apart from wandering miles from his goal and nearly letting Boyle score, letting the ball right through him for the first and misjudging the cross for the third goal, he looked solid.

Morais, McAllister, Sheron, Durmus every one of them not good enough. Need to move them on. Jury is out on Dennis, Erwin and Connolly. Dennis looked ok today but unfit. Connolly not match fit but looks like he can get a teams down the flanks, Erwin put in a good shift. Erwin showed more physicality today that Obika has since he came to the club. Have a sneaky that Erwin and Dennis may be our strike force by Xmas. Flynn and Magennis will add a lot in midfield with McPherson, Erhahon, McGrath and Foley. All the defensive recruits have been good. Another relegation battle I think though.

Don't understand why Goody prefers Sheron over Cammy. Very rarely seen MacPherson have a bad game for us then you've got Sheron who looks constantly nervous on the ball and is forever misplacing passes.

    G'Day Mate.

Para Hills’ fledgling new partnership with Scottish professional club St Mirren is a snapshot of the football future of Australian NPL second tier outfits says the club’s co-coordinator Dale Ramsay. St Mirren has already targeted Knights’ Isaac Mullen for a professional contract and another unnamed teammate revealed Ramsay. Just six months ago, Para Hills was on the verge of collapse as the coronavirus pandemic had hit the club extremely hard financially. “This is the future, we were looking at closing the doors with all the COVID-19 stuff and the federation (Football SA) fees,’’ Ramsay said. “But then again we have more than 400 kids that play the game, my two boys; Tim was (senior) goalkeeper here and he is now a doctor and Ben is now a pharmacist, and that’s the balance between sport and academics which keeps you sane.” The clubs’ agreement has already attracted global sponsors Ramsay said with “Muscle and Bone” jumping on board as the Knights field more inquiries from potential sponsors over the past week he added. Less than 24 hours after the Scottish Premiership club and the world acclaimed BBC websites posted the partnership was official, Ramsay said the project had commenced in March during the height of the pandemic via Knights coach Theo Tsiounis. “Theo has got global contacts and all of our visa players from Holland and various different managers right around the world and we were contacted by management Group 154 and wondering if we wanted to go down this path with St Mirren,’’ Ramsay said. “With (St Mirren chief executive and club legend) Tony Fitzpatrick there was mutual contact, we started talking and it snowballed from there. “The general gist is that St Mirren will want to monitor our players and they’ll be sending players out here but obviously there is a limit on two at a time for visa players in SA. “It’s a bigger picture and we’ll communicate a lot through video conferencing, training techniques, tours back and forth with coaches and officials and pitching ideas, working together. “Tony Fitzpatrick was given the captaincy at 17-years-old by Sir Alex Ferguson when he was the manager there. “Tony is a bit like me, he’s been at the club all his life and it’s where you want to make it as good as you can. “We’re both focusing on the clubs to try and make it beneficial to everyone involved.” Ramsay said the limited professional opportunities for young Australians was a good reason to seek a partner abroad where the Knights could realistically give their players a much bigger gateway to world football. “There’s a couple of lads including Issac Mullen that have been offered full-time contracts and it’s a real thing that the lads now can become full-time footballers, they’re 19 and 20 years old,’’ Ramsay said. “We really are right behind the world in a lot of things right from the top. “I’ve got issues with competitions management right through to how we train our under 6s. “We’re kind of having a readdressing of everything and now focussing on junior coaches having qualifications, extra technical directors and people like that. “It’s all about developing the kids and developing young adults and giving them the opportunity to see what full time football is all about.” Ramsay said the Knights’ number one priority is to also reinstate its previously strong family club culture. He says that the trait of the club in previous years had disappeared, coinciding with Football SA’s user pays talent identification programs which has lured children away from healthy club environments. “The NTC and Skillaroos take kids away, we want to instil club, family, loyalty and for every kid that comes through we want to keep four out of 10,’’ Ramsay said. “There are mercenaries that are killing clubs now and these kids are promised their pathways are the road to Adelaide United. “We’ve had kids at 19 years old (in the Football SA) system and have nowhere to go afterwards and they say “see you later champ” and that’s run by the governing body for financial gain.”

The measure of the team back then. Is that I found it impossible to have a favourite player. Fitzy, Lexy, Stark, Iain Munro, McGarvey, Torrance. All heroes to name but a few. ETA how could I possibly have left Dougie Somner out of that list. I suppose that just goes to prove my point.
