    St Mirren vs St Johnstone

But we are all sure, that he could’ve and he would’ve if he’d needed to. Aren’t we? Also... I should have given more credit for Erwin’s header. It showed excellent skill - he was running at pace beyond the line yet glanced it back and right through a slim window of opportunity. Excellent.

    Coronavirus

The reason I’m singling out Nicola Sturgeon is because I happen to live in Scotland and she’s the one coming out with the ridiculous restrictions that affect my life doh! The advice Sturgeon is dishing out is based on flawed data and she is wrong. I’ll therefore be ignoring her advice. Nicola’s advice has so far increased the death toll and ruined thousands of livelihoods.

    Saints v Shellic rescheduled. Again.

Does that mean their supporters will have to put up with Lennon until then. We have a duty.

In Asia, partly because they've had more practice with pandemics, they have set up and run(with also in some cases with some authoritarian help) successful localised Track and Trace systems. They really know QUICKLY where virus/the R number may be growing and can react in a targeted manner where it's needed. We haven't a clue: where it's spreading, why it's spreading or the extent to which we should be worried.

So why in Asia where they have been hugely successful in controlling COVID do all the folks still wear masks and have been from the beginning. Strikes me that you are making comments about a subject that you just don't have a clue about

What I'm not quite understanding is that in every league table I look at, both Motherwell and Hamilton are credited with the points they gained through the SPFL decision, which is technically under appeal, which essentially makes these decisions and outcomes as a temporary position rather that a confirmed decision. Yet no asterisks or bracketed explanation at the bottom of each table!? I'm not suggesting that we may have to ultimately accept our fates, but the league currently should not be skewed by the decisions until it is completed properly, right through all appeal procedures. So that should reflect 6 points less for Motherwell and 3 less for Hamilton and also games to be played by all teams involved, i.e. two less for Motherwell & Saints and one less for Killie and Hamilton. Innocent until proven guilty and all appeal procedures are exhausted comes to mind. All I want is consistency, so the transgressions by all are treated the same way. As has been said before, how can relegation or a European position be decided by the inconsistent decisions of a Kangaroo court?

There are reports that the UK government are talking abut putting all areas under tier 4 until EASTER. If there is any truth in this, there surely has to come a time when the general public say enough is enough with this shite.

Ended up 2-1, Wolves scored in 89 mins, I had cashed out just after 80 mins, I was getting 95% of my bet, wasn't worth the slight chance it could all go wrong.

You can read The Lancet https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31142-9/fulltext The right protection and social distancing help reduce the risk, but are not totally effective against this virus. In other words suck it up buttercup and wear a mask. Preferably not your gimp one. Just out of interest. Since you have a doctorate and are so clever. Just answer these questions. If you were supporting patients in a COVID-19 ICU ward would you not bother wearing a mask and other PPE? Do you have a ST for Saints that we could use if you keel over and die?

Now that we know there will be no riff raff at Hampden for the League Cup Final, would it not be a good idea to shift the Final to April or even May when fans have a better chance of being there. with the weather hopefully more suited to a family Cup Final The original date was obviously scheduled to cater for the 2 Arse cheeks in Europe who have funnily enough been kicked out on their Arse cheeks I'm pretty sure the SPFL could easily fit in a date, if they can be arsed that is. Good idea ?

Yes and no - Lennon inherited the dominant team in Scottish football, completing the "treble, treble" while not a foregone conclusion was not a outstanding achievement, however as I said at the time doing so would probably get him the gig on a full-time basis - I think manoeuvring Celtic into a poorer team than Sevco in 18 months is the true measure of the man.

A wee bit of logical thinking would have allowed most to arrive at what she meant. Do you disagree now I have explained it to you? That's incorrect, your views throughout this pandemic have been shown time and time again to be wrong, your last stronghold in Sweden has now been shown to have had a completely wrong approach for anyone that values human life. Everything else being equally we are still seeing massive excessive deaths for the year correlating to spikes in Covid, that puts it beyond reasonable doubt that the pandemic is NOT over and that we must mitigate against the spread of this virus to help save lives. Your shameful, far right view of getting on with it so you can go to the pub and don't miss another holiday is horrific. Human life should always come first when we can mitigate against it. Your last point can now be observed to be incorrect, we can track the positive benefit increased restriction have on limiting the spread of this virus and as such saving lives, the massive number of excessive deaths would have to be purely coincidental for your view to stand up, this is also beyond reasonable doubt to be wrong. Much like FS and the death tolls, you've been proven wrong and a bigger person would put their hands up to that.

Bump! It's that time of the year again. However THIS year - for the first time - the lack of live video of the midwinter sun shining down the length down the tunnel leading to the heart of of Maes Howe Burial Mound is attributed to... ta-raaaaa... ..Covid 19! There are other links of other years showing the passage of light and winter sunset at this link: Maeshowe Winter Solstice Sunset

Club covid executives - a statement.

I don't know if that is necessary, the appeal is to overturn not validate. We have been found guilt of the charges and have admitted the breach, it's more to challenge the severity which in a fair world, should absolutely be successful.

Someone on the news described the new virus strain as "terrifying". FFS some people need to get some perspective. Ebola is terrifying. Having convicted rapist Mike Tyson come at you with boxing gloves on is terrifying. A virus which kills relatively only a handful of people is anything but terrifying.

    Black Lives Matter

I've changed my mind on this taking the knee business. I thought we should have ditched it after the first week and I certainly don't support the political aims of BLM BUT this is clearly about sending a message of solidarity to black players across the world and if the players want to continue with this permanently then I support that. This is no longer about the politics of BLM for me.

    St Mirren vs St Johnstone

I thought it harsh until I saw the replay. Kerr has both feet off the ground and has no control. On reflection I agree. Red card all day long. Their manager didn't even question it.

St Mirren reserves have a decent forward line but reckon we have more in midfield and defence. An Away win for the big team.

I did a creative writing evening class about 10 years ago, one of the other students was a guy called Lorenzo. After the course ended I kept in touch for a while via FB and he eventually wrote a one man play about a 2nd or 3rd generation Italian immigrant dealing with the death of his father and inheriting the family chip shop. It was called Cracked Tiles. He did a full month's run at the Fringe and although I didn't see it the play garnered some very decent reviews. It turns out he based the story on his real-life experience of working in the Hippy Chippy. The guy is also a pretty decent illusionist. https://www.youtube.com/c/PoetoftheImpossible/videos

People are for JDH to be tied to a longer contract. Its not going to happen unfortunately. Bigger clubs in England and Scotland will ready to swoop with pre contracts in Jan. Brilliant player. Think he's the main reason we've went on such a good run. But we can always hope that he will sign a new deal.

They have always been around, parking in disabled spaces with no badge, drink driving, littering, not picking up there dog shit.... the list is endless. We just have to accept that society has some people who aren’t going to get with the programme and hit them with hefty fines or jail (Isle of man has the right idea)

This location has loads of memories for me right back to my early days of being taken to Love Street and lifted over the turnstiles. 👌 In these days we got pretty good crowds and often well over 10,000 would be at the game and as the game drew to a close, my Dad and I would work our way round to the Greenock Road / Caledonia Street end and when the final whistle went, we would walk (very) quickly, as I seem to remember, as quick as my wee legs would allow, and we belted up to the West End to beat the crowds and get on a bus before it got to the Cross. Quite a few years later, but still at school I went out with a girlfriend who lived in the West End area for a fair amount of time and I had to make several last minute dashes up to the bus stop (in the last photo), in order to catch the last bus home. Sometimes left it a bit late then had the ignominy of a fair hike home and irate parents who were no doubt awake in bed waiting to hear the key in the door........................ happy days. So, this bus stop has loads and loads of great memories! (and I even fondly remember the girl fiend) ............... and please no re-arranging words and meaning in that last sentence!!😉
