    St mirren - kv Mechelen

I remember having to do that on occasion.Best one was when the soap dodgers lost in a play off against Dundee Utd.I phoned the soap dodgers supporters club and kidded on I was phoning from Australia. The barman talked me thru the game telling me how unlucky they were and I could hear him telling folk I was on phone from Oz.When he was finished telling me all about it I told him I was phoning from Paisley and it was a brilliant result. I must say his language was disgusting,no way for anybody to speak on a phone.

It is my understanding that St Mirren are set to sign the 6ft 6 striker Tom Denton from Chesterfield. The signing should be completed in the next 7 to 10 days according to one of my sources.

If it was a straightforward clash, surely it should have been a bounce ball rather than a free kick to Killie.

    I do, my error.

Is that the excuses starting already ? Plenty of balls going into the box now it's up to them to get on end of them, if they can't do that against this Motherwell team we'll be fighting it out at the bottom of the table again. This game could define our season challenging for the top 6 or the other it's a must win game in my book, No excuses. I'd start the game with Obika and Dennis on from the start get a early goal and Motherwell's heads will go down.

We really need to win this. Problem is where are the goals coming from. Will Tait be missing? Although I still remain hopeful that we get to play the COVID cancelled games I fear that the decision will be upheld by the SFA which gives this game even more significance. COYS

Just seem like 5 mins ago we played them, and beat them. Since then they have not won a game, only managing 2 draws. IF we get back to our best form we should win this, this is really a game we must not lose.

If it was a straightforward clash, surely it should have been a bounce ball rather than a free kick to Killie. I agree that it was a straight forward clash. Although in those situations involving a GK, almost every time a Ref will give a free-kick to the goalies team. There is no way any ref would give a bounce ball there in that situation.

Didn't think it was any card for the keeper to be honest. Thought it was a straightforward clash with no intent by either player. We are always demanding our goalkeeper to go take everything in his wake to get the ball, yet when it happens to us, hmmmmmm. Didn't think it was a penalty to us either, despite that moron commentator's opinion. Where has the game gone when we are demanding a pen for that ?? Carig Napier is a solid young ref and more than deserves to be a Grade 1. He will learn from performing at a higher level and may get to be a regular at Premiership or may not, time will tell. 100% agree on the pitch and the state of it as the game wore on. Astros should be banned at Premiership and Championship.

Had a look at their game on Sportscene. They get the ball forward very quickly. Even it's a hopeful punt. Two of their goals yesterday came from that tactic.
  14. 1 point
BBC Sportscene programme is awful did not even discuss the fact that the Killie keeper went straight through Tait forcing him to be subbed. This was a straight red card and a penalty. This ref was so far out of his depth it beggars belief he has reached Grade 1.Moreover that pitch was unplayable and was a complete danger to the players.Time for SFA/SPFL to conduct investigation. Very surprised we as a club did not make strong objections to this match going ahead.

Apparently Motherwell have lost every match they have lost first goal so early or first goal could be very crucial.

Disagree mate. Our strikers MIGHT not be any good, but so far I don’t believe finishing is our problem. It’s the final ball that’s our problem. I disagree that we have “plenty of balls going into the box”. On the contrary I think we do a power of fannying about and whatever balls do get put into the box are generally of an appalling standard. I’ll reserve criticism of the strikers until they start getting proper service and start missing a significant number of well created chances.

I’ll watch it but, like football,it’s not the same without the crowd. Not looked at today’s football betting but if nothing decent on offer I may have a wee shilling on Anderson

I was at the game in Mechelen... an amazing experience. Flew over on the same flight as the team. Loved the visit and the hospitality Great result for us... But I warned anyone who would listen to watch out for Eli Ohana in the second leg. He was just different class. Sure enough, he tore us apart at Love Street.

Yes our chairman John cordier he was a visionair in the belgian football , he was one of the First in belgium that runned a footballclub as of it was a company.. also he build the First bussines loges in a belgian stadium.. and our goalie Michel Preud’Homme winner of 2 golden boots in belgium and also choosen as Number 1 of the world. But we had alot of great players at that time like Koeman, Clijsters, Eli ohana..

I haven't followed the darts much this year, already stated, too much football, but, as I understand it, Anderson has had an injury and hasn't been keen on trekking around Europe to compete in tournaments, hence his "drip" in the rankings. He's not quite the Anderson of old but when he hits a wee run of form, feck me, he's hot. It's not all about the scores, it's WHEN you hit them. I'll be cheering him on tomorrow night against that cnut from Wales. I'm not keen on the Welsh.

Price v Anderson in tomorrow night's final. Anderson, against all odds, get's to the final. Chisnall, the eternal loser. Price an utter fanny of a man, is a decent darts player. I hope for lots of reasons Anderson PUMPS him.

It was an awful performance against crap opposition, with an amateur referee, on a pitch more suited to ice hockey. I'll take the draw thanks.

    Coronavirus

This is a government that started off with a herd immunity policy in March before going into lockdown too late, didn't test new arrivals to the country in the spring, came out of lockdown to early in May, faiied to discipline it's chief Spad for disregarding the restrictions that month, boasted England would have a world beating Track'n'Trace system, predicted in July we'd be back to "significant normality" by Xmas, pursued ridiculous policies in the summer like back-to-the-office, opened the country up for foreign travel and eat-out-to-help-out when it should have been concentrating on a ZeroCovid policy. It acted to late to stop the second wave by ignoring SAGEs advice in September, introduced, then curtailed but still allowed Xmas mingling when it was obviously going to increase the spread, threatened London Borough's with legal action even as the new virulent strain was spreading, imposing lockdown too late for a third time. A compendium of incompetence, mixed messages and U-turns the latest being today's news that schools in the SE of England will not open this week after all. It's an absolute fallacy to say the public are most to blame for the spread of the disease, the buck should stop at the top with BJ (and marginally less so with NS) I'm not responsible for the any of the numerous fuck-ups over the last 11 months and I'm not going to be badgered into accepting any of the blame by you - it lies with a liar & incompetent BJ and a 1% tougher NS much more than the lunatics that are giving both an easy excuse for their failures!

The west end needs a make over. Some really nice buildings, but I fear they will all be lost if there isn’t some form of regeneration in the area.
