Thanks for posting the link. I've added my comments telling them to jump in the sea with this idea but I don't know whether this will have any effect. Clearly this is being done so quickly to take advantage of the pandemic causing financial hardship for lower league teams. For that single reason alone the people driving this should be permanently removed from our game.

If they want their teams to enter league 2 I think it only right we should accommodate them, If they are so desperate to sample the delights of league 2, both of them should be relegated to league 2 now and charged for bringing the game into disrepute, Would give the lower leagues the fresh injection it needs having suffered most during the pandemic. I've been able to do a wee bit more research and the maps below begin to tell the picture. 1st Map 1947 clearly showing the Alex opposite the RAH on the corner of Orr St 2nd Map same in 1951 3rd map is a 1965 edition, but actually was already 3 years out of date as the area was surveyed in '62 and still shows the Alex Cinema building. 4th map 1967 showing what might appear to be a petrol station with the number 23 Neilston Road lastly today

I would say that they are extremely well paid considering what they do for a living. Agree with the others. A bonus won't motivate them if they are not already motivated to win this game. I agree with others sentiments. I reckon I’d chuck all interest in football if it ever came to pass we let the ugly sister lay the groundwork for having their b teams dominate Scottish football when their A teams chase the money in some other league. They want to have their cake and eat it and life doesn’t/shouldn’t work that way. Id love them to piss off and only win a trophy once in a blue moon. Let’s see how many fans they’d have then.

This could have been posted before, apologies, but it's a very strong memory for me as I spent my first 20 years around this area. Caledonia Street A classic shot from Caledonia Street that has done its rounds in the past but great to see again is this one of a McGills of Barrhead Leyland Titan at its terminus outside the Fountain Gardens in the early 1970's. Within the Park are the long removed Public Loos and on the corner of Blytheswood Drive Pacinis Caledonia Cafe, great for a Coke or a Cone on a nice summers day. I can remember a Butchers and a Chemist shop amongst the others but can anyone remember the others, or names ?

Didn't come in but Wolves were, by some distance IMO, the better side. A weak attempt by their normally good goalkeeper just before half time resulted in the only goal. The Wolves goalie had quite a bad head knock just before the end, it took about 15 minutes to get him checked, onto a stretcher and off the pitch. Early reports this morning are that he's ok.
