  4. It's called "thinking sensibly". If we had built a 10,000 seater It would just have meant more empty seats and a bigger financial outlay for ground upkeep. The ground size is absolutely fine for our current requirements. In the unlikely event of us becoming become top six regulars, we could fill in the corners, if we needed to.

    Coronavirus

Indeed, I'd wager this decision not to have the vaccination is nothing to do with the science or some vague moral stance, much more likely a "can't be arsed as I'll PROBABLY be ok anyway" reason.

  6. Agree with the number 10 role. He doesn't have the legs for the position he started his career out in. He can pick a pass and has a great shot as you say. If McGrath was to leave McAllister could find more game time if there is not another replacement internally or inbound to fill that role.

Which is unacceptable It is YOUR money to spend as you wish and you couldn’t even do that. People can dress it up as they wish , Covid isn’t to blame for the club not providing an accessible platform for fans to buy with confidence, hassle free. Phone them ? No answer Leave a message ? Inbox says full Email them ? No reply or receipt of acknowledgment Online Club shop ? STILL closed Club office ? Shut It’s a mess and inexcusable

  9. The game between St Mirren and Kilmarnock finished in a 1–1 draw. Dennis Wyness scored St Mirren's first goal at the new ground, in the same match. The opening match set the record attendance of 7,542, and was only surpassed in the Scottish Premiership play-off match against Dundee United, when 7,732 fans attended on 26 May 2019.

  12. So many of us have been loyal fans for a long time . Now after 16 months of not seeing our team would it be too much to expect the club act fairly? How about the 500 lucky ticket holders for Dunfermline don’t have their number entered into the draw for Partick game this allowing the other season ticket holders a chance to see their team. Would anyone have been upset had this been stipulated before we played last week? It’s totally unfair that people have been able to attend both games whilst others haven’t had any. In you we trust is wearing thin. All I hear is that we the fans are amazing blah blah well how about giving us a fair shot at seeing our team?

  14. Would be looking for double whats been offered and a decent sell on . Won't be surprised if a team comes in for both . I think we have to let players go if the right bid comes as that encourages others to sign , knowing that they won't be held back if a decent bid comes. Must be others in Ireland keeping an eye on Mccarthy and McGrath,s progress thinking they might fancy a spell at Saints .

  21. Odds are 19-10 for Aberdeen to lose tonight. These opponents look half decent. Aberdeen have a new manager with zero experience in Scottish / European football and have a rookie in Scott Brown as their new player / assistant manager. 19-10 looks too good to miss IMO. Then again, I am the self-acknowledged worst ever tipster with football betting. 😁

    Coronavirus

The amount of people having to isolate, unnecessarily IMO, is causing havoc in many business's. There has to be a faster response to the changing situation, surely if people have been double vaccinated and can prove a negative test they shouldn't need to isolate? Starting to see the now famous pictures of empty shelves in supermarkets, you know who will be glad he bought 3,000 toilet rolls last March.

  25. Probably a few games, doesn't come close to meriting any further development of the ground as it stands. It's all speculation IF we could, the hard facts are we haven't. I doubt anybody in their right mind would sanction the cost of this "filling in the corners" idea.

  28. I emailed the slo and asked how the figure was derived given the government said a maximum of 2000 yet we are only allowed 1039. Who made this decision was it appealed or asked for more but special consideration. I got a reply stating they are meeting with the management tonight to find out and get as much info as possible to allow it to be published on FB and twitter hopefully later. Still a shambles when other teams can have 3.5k plus for friendlies etc

  32. But if the club was "organised" and actually knew it's Season Ticket holders, it could easily arrange for family groups from the one bubble to sit together. As it is, some people will car share to get to the match and then have to sit apart outdoors! With proper management of the situation, I don't see why we couldn't have had 2,000 there. Social distancing is an easy excuse! [emoji850]

    Coronavirus

Nobody, on here at least, is advocating forced vaccination. Indeed, it's a well used approach. Try to take things to an unlikely extreme to attempt to prove/disprove a point, Oaky does it on a regular basis. The most important issue here is people's health. As for mandatory vaccinations to allow people to work, surgeons, for starters, already fall into this category with the hepatitis B jag, it's not new and, IMO, secondary to the effects of not having it.

I would say they're probably quite close to what we would accept. Both out of contract next year , McCarthy IMO unlikely to be a starter in every game. If we could get to a million for the pair I would go with that !

  43. Most likely irrelevant in this case sadly. Other teams won't be dealing with Renfrewshire Council. They'll also have different stand layouts and utilisations. I would like to think that the club did push for as many fans as possible. Why wouldn't they given the unacceptable situation with season tickets and opportunity to make more money? Unfortunately nothing related to Covid has been straightforward, so this process just falls in line with all the other hoops we've had to jump through as a society. If anyone is "at it", they need to stop it and get on with getting decent numbers of fans back into the stadium.

It's quite ironic that we're discussing the younger generation refusing "untested" vaccinations, because of potential health concerns or otherwise. Seems there is a sizeable proportion of them choosing to receive injections all sorts of dodgy chemicals, including one of the most toxic substances known in nature, into their bodies. I have not followed the strip scandal at all. What over priced t-shirt will I no be buying this year? I saw some fandan getting a bit upset on the old facebooks due to the fact that we wore a red strip at home to Dunfermline. Some people really are twats.
