  1. Whit… Did you no see it on Sportscene - he jumped on top of McGrath’s ankle - was lucky it wasn’t a straight red.

  2. Whit, his second yellow is as clear a booking as you will get. It was bordering on a straight red. Over the ball right onto McGrath's ankle, a very nasty challenge. Every pundit and both managers were unanimous about it too. No idea what you saw in either booking that suggested they were not.

  4. I thought he did well yesterday until subbed and that was more tactical than a reflection on his performance. His pass for the first goal was a thing of beauty.

  7. Ronan’s second goal gets better every time you watch it. His slight delay before sticking the ball in the net showed great composure. We now carry a goal threat from midfield which has to help our forwards and gives the opposition something else to think about. Our problem up until now seems to be that we were too predictable, if we can carry a threat from different areas then that has to make us harder to play against.

  8. I noticed that we were on the receiving end of yet another shite offside decision yesterday, when Ronan was flagged offside for the chance that Lewis saved to prevent his hattrick.

  9. Erhahon is developing as a player and deserves his place in the team, however I don't think we need 2 defensive midfielders and either him or Power (Currently Power IMHO, but give it another 6-12 months and will probably be other way around) would be enough. Erhahon's positioning is usually spot on and breaks up play well and in addition his pass to Ronan for the first goal was inch perfect. I don't get the negativity sent towards one of our best young players.

Brilliant result, we came out a completely different team that 2nd half, McGrath totally upped his game and what a signing Ronan is going to be for us, Brophy also had another decent game and was unlucky not to score again, he is a handful. Erhahon shouldn’t be in that starting 11 for me, far too lazy and just looks half arsed most of the time, I could see Goodwin getting annoyed at him yesterday.

  11. We dont have VAR and as much as I hate Brown it was good play by him he blocked runners off let Ramirez get the run for the header. If that was other way about I would have been pleased with our player doing that too often we are too soft at set pieces we need to learn to be more street wise

  14. Ok, it could me me (but don’t think it is), I finally managed to sort mine and my sons (U16) tickets out. When I was hovering over the seats (areas M & P only presently on offer on Livi site) I could only select adult £26 or registered disabled (£17) at that juncture, however later on in the process I could alter this to my son (£10 / U16) provided he is linked to my account - definitely was not allowing me to do this earlier (reason I called Livi ticket office). It’s ticketmaster that run the Livi ticketing, it’s not bloody easy that’s for sure, good thing is that I’ve got both tickets in the wallet thing on my phone where I just need to now scan QR codes on the day. Advice to anyone that’s thinking of going, don’t leave last minute, start early on in week with Livi ticket system or by at Greenhill Road!!

  17. It might be a bit early to say so but Hibs then yesterday looks like the corner might just be turned. If we can go to Livi next and play our game not get sucked into hoof ball with them we should get something from the game. Livi 1 Saints 2 (Ronan and Brophy)

  18. Great result and looked like our best performance in a long time. Hope we can keep this up next week and move up the league. Plaudits to Ronan who looks like a good wee player.

I think that Aberdeen committing 22 fouls in the game was what earned the yellows and the red. In truth the ref was lenient at times. I am not a fan of WC but can’t blame him today.

  22. 1 win isn't going to change my fear when I hear the dreaded words of a reporter stating our opponents are in a bad run of form. 40 plus years watching the Mirren, lol Just happy I've got nothing to moan about tonight, lol Good 2nd half performance again 10 men, moved the ball about well and used our spare man well

No one needs to provide evidence to reject spurious suppositions. similarly, I won’t bother seeking your ‘evidence’ for the claim, “these deaths are on you”. I merely dismiss it as more mince!

    Coronavirus

As the graphs make no reference to how many vaccinated were in the deaths any spurious suppositions are childish. “tragically”… the majority of deaths will likely be anti-vaxxers.

The futile attempts to keep dying 82 year olds alive for an extra month are killing children. Those who supported it- this is all on you Covid in Scotland: Non-urgent surgery postponed at Aberdeen children's hospital https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-58676794

  28. Not disagreeing with the main thrust of your point but I think the bit in bold is incorrect.....Wimbledon FC got permission to re-locate to Milton Keynes and became MK Dons if I remember correctly and didn't go "tits up" in the same manner as Rangers. Many teams down South have gone "tits up" and are still playing (Cardiff, Leeds, Charlton to name a few) although none were "liquidated" if my memory serves me accurately. I also think that the full-time squad in a part-time league is a bit of a Red Herring.......there is no such thing as a "part-time" league as such, they are all senior teams and could be full-time if they wished (and could afford it). There is a bigger issue in that the new club were allowed to constantly and consistently outspend their income with no consideration given to "financial fair-play" from our governing bodies.

    Coronavirus

With no excess deaths in 2021, the fact is that the pandemic was over in May last year. All the vulnerable that were going to die, died back then - and they mainly caught it in healthcare settings. Lockdowns protected the healthy and wealthy, shunting the burden of the pandemic onto the vulnerable and the working class.

  31. What decisions today were shite bar him issuing a yellow to Hayes rather than red. Got most things right. Far too quick with cards. If he’d been in real control of the players and the game, then there wouldn’t have been so many flying, ill-judged tackles and cheating aggression. His ineffectual presence set the wrong tone so he was forced to resort to dishing out cards for everything. the 2nd yellow for Jenny’s was not only soft, but wrong, I believe. it turned the game. I might be happy for how that helped Saints, but it was not helping a legitimate game of football.
