Goodwin at league cup final
ironsaints87 and one other reacted to bigjerseybuddie for a topic
Goodwin spotted at hampden with his young son sporting a Celtic scarf. Of course his son, and indeed himself can support whoever he likes. Should he have been a bit more careful( don’t know how with tv cameras at the game) given the fact we are due to play them on wed. We, and other teams, have had to contend with this since football began. I just wish, somewhat naively, that employees of st mirren( and their weans) should not show open allegiance to other teams. A tongue in cheek view but I do get a bit pissed off when it happens. Thoughts?2 points -

Feeling a lot of doom and gloom around with the latest news but here's some positive news From COVID-19 vaccine surveillance report (Week 50) - page 4 COVID-19 vaccine surveillance report - week 50 (publishing.service.gov.uk) "Based on antibody testing of blood donors, 98.4% of the adult population now have antibodies to COVID-19 from either infection or vaccination compared to 22.7% that have antibodies from infection alone" That's a very strong number and suggests that the vast vast majority of people/friends/family have protection against serious infection Great bit of work on Brownstone's website: 140 Research Studies Affirm Naturally Acquired Immunity to Covid-19: Documented, Linked, and Quoted ⋆ Brownstone Institute A lot of good news in these studies, natural immunity holding up extremely well against the virus. Going by the surveillance report that means a fair amount of natural immunity already exists, even without vaccination. If the NHS is under threat - with 98.4% the population having antibodies... you've got to wonder what the government have done wrong with the emergency funding. It needs to make sense.2 points -
You might well be right about the timing thing with Charlie. I heard it was the finance side of running the shop he struggled with so that would be connected with business dropping off when the supermarkets came along. He was/is a really nice guy and he had a great rapport with the customers. I enjoyed working in the shop. The money was good for a school kid and all the guys were good fun, although the hours were grim and a butcher shop was a dirty place to work in the sense that your hands and clothes were always greasy.2 points

Aliases on the forum
BuddieinEK reacted to Karmageddon2021 for a topic
Faraway Saint says Shull had multiple aliases and that Shull used them to like his own posts. There is no denial from Shull and he accepted his aliases getting removed by Div. The problem is why did it bother Faraway Saint so much ? Faraway Saint ? Talking of aliases, Long John Baldy is Faraway Saint. For you Antrin.1 point -

I totally agree. Good guy. ….but…. Re-reading your post… it strikes me that Chic’s main failing with finance (if there was one) is that he paid some lads far too much! ”The money was good for a school kid ”!1 point -

This Thread has ran for nearly 5 years. Faraway Saint the Forum Troll has not contributed any St Mirren minded post to it He has no Saints memories at all. He wouldn't know any of the players whose photos are posted. He is not and never has been a St Mirren Supporter. Never been to Love Street or Greenhill Road. Would get zero in a St Mirren quiz. Kennedy hasn't played a game this season as he's been out with a back injury. Just starting training again. Would be a huge risk to take him on board. Aberdeen winger Matty Kennedy returns to training to end injury nightmare (pressandjournal.co.uk) Although he could be this season's Quaner (who retired a couple of weeks ago) or Chabbi.1 point -

I think Saints would rather get as much money as possible for him from a club in England and putting wee rumours about is Saints way if letting teams know that he will be going this January . Kennedy to Saints as part of a player swop with a decent cash adjustment might suit both teams , but I'm thinking that Saints are now trying to create an Auction for Jamie . To be honest , I think now is the time to move him on , he's talents are wasted with the way we are set up and the way we play .1 point -

Sadly there are too many rats who'll still be their when the liar is ousted. Meanwhile his probable successor was in the USA selling off the NHS. Still, I suppose that's what you get when you put a hedge fund owner in charge of the countries finances.1 point

As contradictory as it sounds, I genuinely don’t mind being old, but I definitely miss my youth Growing up in Paisley for me was a good experience I can no longer visit where I lived and went to school - I hate seeing my childhood memories of areas wiped out Living in Lexwell Rd , Foxbar was great overlooking Red Rock Canyon/ Witches Dens/ Golf Course we used to cut through to go to Elderslie baths - all unrecognisable now obviously Caledonia St number 37 where we moved still stands overlooking Fountain Gardens So, seeing all the old pictures is magic [emoji4] Grateful for everyone who posts a picture or memories Still my favourite thread, never ever ruined only ever added to [emoji4]1 point -

One of the biggest meltdowns ever on the Forum was only recently when Toxic Titch exploded with rage and tears after a fellow forumster was receiving too many likes for their posts. Titch was livid and actually reported the forumster and got him banned. What was that all about ? The tiny terror has been broken and ruined ever since. He is such a little and irrelevant man that he needs to be liked the mostest on this forum. Toxic tailgating Titch.1 point -
