Tickets purchased. Up for a week and getting two games in. A rare treat for me. Really looking forward to this one. Used to love going to Ayr. Don’t think I’ve been since the mid 80s when Fraser Campbell scored the only goal of the game relatively late on to much relief from the away support. Think someone said earlier on this thread that Somerset Park was a shithole. Totally disagree. I love it. Proper old fitba ground.4 points -

A perfect scenario if an English comes in and signs him now. Use some of the fee we receive towards going for Allan.4 points -
Why wouldn’t they want McGrath still? He’s an attacking mid and shinnie is defensive, completely different players.3 points

I'm not sure one needs to have prior knowledge of the theft. I am not a solicitor and will not that I'm well acquainted with the law, but it's my understanding that one just needs to have a reasonable cause to be suspicious that the item you're buying has been stolen. So if someone who looks intoxicated tries to sell you a bag of meat in a pub, you might suspect that the person has not acquired this by legal means. So what you're saying, @Cookie Monster, is that it's widely accepted that @Stmirrenshirts.com purchased his shirts legitimately, with no reason to suspect they were stolen. In that case, the guy has been ripped off and is then being asked to part with a prized item - which he clearly values highly, having displayed it on his website for fellow Buddies to admire - and is then being hounded online, and told he's immoral scum? How is any of that justifiable?2 points -

100% agree with you. I think it's a wonderful ground, as is Cappielow. Far more character than our sterile, breeze block home. According to a poster on P&B we've bought over 1,000 tickets already so far.2 points -

Isn’t it better to have a significant amount of fans with a voice rather than none at all as was previously the case.? As for SMISA, I don’t know for sure but I’d be reasonably confident that if non smisa members had a valid point to make which might benefit the club, they’d be happy to listen .2 points -

So 2, 3 or 4 out A winger or 2, a midfielder or 2 (not 2 for both of these though) and a striker in if it all works out.(likely to be young loanee) 2 weeks to make it happen... Our season could go north or south given others are getting things done and competition for the likes of Allan... (Dee freeing up wages already too). The silence is deafening.1 point

It's actually a shade more than the 5% of the fee, because we get the development fees on top of that, too. I have it that we actually get about 8.5% but that may need corroborating.1 point -

THEN you have this........................ makes you wonder if any of these experts know what the fcuk they're talking about, could they be members of the forum? However, Dr David Nabarro, a World Health Organisation (WHO) special envoy for COVID-19, warned that "it’s going to be bumpy" before life can resume some semblance of normal. He told Sky News: “Though it’s possible to start imagining that the end of the pandemic is not far away, just everybody be ready for the possibility that there will be more variations and mutations coming along, or that there will be further challenges, other surges of even Omicron coming.” Nabarro added children do not get very ill from COVID-19, and “we’re going to have children acting as vectors of the virus for some time to come”. He said there was a need to still be “respectful of this virus”, adding: “Do what you can to stop transmitting it. Do what you can to protect others from being affected by it. It’s not the common cold. “I know people would like it to be but it’s a virus that has still some really unpleasant features. Let’s do our best to protect people from it if we possibly can.”1 point -

But some have said there is light at the end of tunnel, with Dr Mike Tildesley, member of the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Modelling group (Spi-M), said that he hoped that by the end of the year the nation would have a “flu-type” relationship with COVID-19. He told BBC Breakfast: “Say we get into a situation where the virus becomes very, very mild and we are living alongside it – we’re not there yet, but hopefully we will be at some point this year – then we do need to talk about not just cases but also hospital admissions and the number of people who are dying with the disease. Dr Tildesley added that, generally speaking, new variants of viruses tend to be more transmissible but “also generally milder”, adding: “So my hope is that as we get further into this year and, next year, we are dealing with milder versions of COVID and hopefully we have more of a flu-type relationship with COVID where potentially we protect the vulnerable as we get into the colder weather, but we don’t see a return of restrictions.”1 point -

No , I don’t think I have missed the point. We he relinquished his position it was made clear that the enhanced security given to certain members of the Royal family would be withdrawn. When he returned to UK last year, he felt that the security given to him when not with the Royal family was not strict enough ( certainly not what he had been used to) and as he intended to return with his Family ,and understandably wanted to ensure the safety of his family, he wanted his old levels reinstated . when This was not forthcoming by UK gov , he offered to foot the bill - not something that is normally done, I.e, We don’t do Hired Guns !! I Understand he didn’t ask to be born a Prince and had spent a lifetime having this level of attention and therefore security , but there’s a dead easy way to settle this, Just bin the whole f**king lot of them . Id stop short of the French approach to getting rid of their Royals, better to just change the locks when they’re off on their next taxpayer funded jolly.1 point -

I'm the last person on here to defend the Royals but you seem to have totally missed the point in this one. The UK state will provide protection to Harry and Co regardless of who pays for it. He's stating publicly he wants to pay the costs personally so it's not coming from the public purse. Not sure how that can be seen as a rod to beat him with ? ^^^^^^^^^^ Gagging for attention. Anyhow, to summarise, this variant is all but done, all numbers dropping, by the end of Jan or mid February surely restrictions should be all gone, even for the ever cautions Nicky? Oh, what happened to the "predicted" upsurge when schools returned?1 point -

On your question I would certainly block the numbers calling and/or report to relevant authorities On Twitter, block and report also. Personally I would seek to continue the conversation with the family member who engaged with him on Twitter, looking for a mutually acceptable outcome and ignore the self appointed detectives on the case Don’t have a website1 point
