Headline should read “Total c**t congratulates c**t of a Club for fake achievement” I’ve missed my true vocation 😎5 points -
A lot of new staff coming in ,much more professional set up in place. We would not of course have a full time electrician or any other tradesman on the books ,so if some some st Mirren supporter wants to help cut costs we should encourage it it's our club after all!3 points

Those on the pitch should be masters of their trade or even a bit competent. Unfortunately, they are far from it and should be paid accordingly. like, zero, travelling expenses only ( bring their own lunch ) or part time wages. Maybe the players should pay to play ( monthly subscription ) . Most players in Scotland do this. £30 a month each for the girls in my daughter's team.1 point

Antrin. I was working in Moscow and St Petersburg in Russia when the news first broke about Rangers. One of the people I met was a Referee and Author of books on football. He was fascinated and asked me to keep him up to date with the story as it developed with the promise of a co- author mention. No way I wanted my name involved in the story but did send him information. Also have sources in South Africa where I made around 80 visits , including the run up to and running of the World Cup, who could fill me in on Mr King. None of the story is pretty . How Dave King could have been judged a fit and proper person to be the chairman of a football club in Scotland by the SFA etc only means that there is a very low bar IMO.1 point

Oh ….. I agree about coming out of Administration…only way to be able to trade as the Same Company. I have the same understanding.1 point
-
I’m not sure that you DID understand it. This… “I am in complete agreement. After Administration - Same Company.” …. Is incorrect. Unless… unless…. …it can only be the same company if it comes out of Administration… if it pays its bills, settles its debts etc. Rangers has never done that and so has never come out of Admin. It is still in the end process of going into liquidation. sevco’s one time boss, the “glib and shameless liar” Dave King, once made another his “promises”: that under his leadership ideally they would settle all Rangers debts and in that way rid Rangers of that burden, make the club live again. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/13713563.dave-king-sets-out-vision-to-pay-off-rangers-oldco-creditors/ he failed to deliver, surprisingly….1 point

Minimum price alcohol... The myth
Rascal reacted to Buddymarvellous for a topic
The stats do show a worrying trend but its hard to see a direct correlation with minimum pricing from 2018. I think the latest asesments of MUP are disappointing but I thought at the time it was a good idea and I don’t think it was wrong to try. Stats are always difficult for example the latest figures for alcohol related liver failure was down in 2019 but it’s hard to say whither this had anything to do with MUP or just the fact that as a nation we are drinking less.1 point -
Minimum price alcohol... The myth
Rascal reacted to Brilliant Disguise for a topic
Minimum pricing on alcohol in Scotland was introduced in 2018 Drug deaths ins 2018 were circa 1050 Drug deaths in 2021 were circa 1350 Thats an increase in and around 28%. It may be a conincidence If you want more evidence look up the NRS !!!1 point -

I would have no worries about him coming back but Robinson may want a younger age profile for the team overall. As to him leaving in the past to go where the money is better - not a problem. That’s what players do.1 point -

Actually saw him and his family in a town relatively close to Paisley a short time ago............ Not that necessarily means anything other than being back in the west looking around facilities, housing, schools etc1 point -
I've voted no to this. The womans' team are very poor finishing nearly bottom of the League and routinely getting skepled by double digit scores from the likes of Renfrew Juniors Ladies. Going to Germany looks like a jolly. Am happy to contribute to better coaching, facilities, equipment or better players but not for their summer holidays. Just my thoughts on the matter. daft decision, he stated he was happy at Paisley, so could look forward to another 2-3 years of being happy and getting a reasonable salary. Noiw he is leaving he is looking at the occassional start and being back where he was last year, which is getting pumped out on loan or left to languish I understand the lure of the money, i also rate the prospect of earning a little less but for longer just a bit higher1 point -
Could be why the Belgian guy has been linked. Seems to play a similar role in midfield.1 point

Latest spending ask (club pot) from SMISA St Mirren women’s team ballot The St Mirren women’s team is heading to Germany next month to take part in a tournament as part of their pre-season preparations. They have covered their own costs for accommodation, food and airport transportation but have asked if SMISA members can help cover the cost of their flights which, for 15 players and coaches, amounts to around £2700. The previous £2 Spend fund and ballot has been discontinued and was replaced in the new funding structure with the Club Pot, which can be used to cover this type of request subject to members' approval.1 point

Yeah we move on. It's a shame though as was looking good and enjoying his football again. If he stays in Scotland I'm guessing it's maybe Aberdeen to get similar cash as he did at Hibs, but they have Ferguson and McCrorie in the middle. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk1 point -

Oh, FFS, here we go again. If administration was same club and company then so was liquidation. The liquidators sold the assets, not the administrators. Not appealing the 10 point deduction for going into administration was tacit acceptance (by Rangers) that club and company were one. Nothing, in that respect, changed before liquidation.1 point

Minimum price alcohol... The myth
Scott-Leeds reacted to Brilliant Disguise for a topic
The cost of alcohol in the UK is more expensive that many other European countries and more expensive in Scotland due to the minimum pricing policy. People who have dependency on anything will sacrifice the necessities to get their hit. Minimum pricing on alcohol has done nothing other than line the pockets of Asda, Tesco, Morrisons etc. Another flawed policy There is no coincidence that Scotlands drug deaths increased after the introduction of the minimum pricing on alcohol. the only solution to this problem is Education Education and Education.1 point -
