Just seen that. Another defender. Good luck to the young man. Was hoping Akin Famewo would be back. Thought he and McCarthy had a good partnership. We need another striker as back up to Obika. But I guess Gys and Goody have that in hand. Coys Goodwin confirming he's brought him in as a holding mid who can provide backup the the centre halves. So we've definitely still in the market for a centre back or two.

    Effect of Coronavirus

Yeah. Spoke to my mate last night. He said they should be fine as they effectively have no debt. However, he has already financed and is in the process of financing several other major universities, so he said they'll get through it. The story about 13 universities going bust, is effectively them trying to get more government money to tide them over, without having to rely too much on aforementioned support from the banks. He's a guy who leads negotiations and signs off on the deals worth hundreds of millions of pounds, to finance universities and local authorities, so he knows what he's talking about. Compared to local authorities, most universities are in relatively good health! https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/renfrewshires-pandemic-bill-soars-55-22307831 Renfrewshire council are estimating that they have a £55 million bill due to the pandemic and I'd imagine that there are other local authorities that are in far worse states.

How do you travel to games?

I noticed that one of the worries about crowds coming back to games was said to be that a lot of fans used public transport to get to games. Free parking around most stadiums isn't always easy to find as a lot travel by car. I travel by car with 2 or 3 others and meet up with another another 2 or three who also travelled by car. I guess younger folks might travel by bus or train. I don't see many taxis dropping folks off at the ground.

The thing I don't like here is that the parent club can recall him in January if they so desire then you have to get a replacement in at short notice.

Dunno, I don't work in Paisley. I would guess, quite a few would get a Taxi from the Pubs around 2.45 onwards.

Seriously Andy, you have GOT to start reading these articles you are posting. You missed the following rather important thing that Whitty said: “The only people we do sometimes use masks for are people who have got an infection and that is to help them to stop it spreading around," he added.

    Effect of Coronavirus

Back in January we paid a deposit for a holiday with EasyJet for September in Kos, just paid the balance today. I reckon by September it will be routine for Kos OR it will be cancelled because C-19 is out of control. EasyJet have been good for refunds so either we get some (safe!) r'n'r in the sunshine or we get our money back.
