I am jealous we don't have Ross. I think the current squad would be performing a lot better if we did. When we appointed Ross he assessed every player giving them a chance and binned all those not up to it. Unlike now where players are played regularly when they are not performing. Ross also played players in their natural positions and as he said he fitted the team's style of play around the players he had available. At the moment we have a terrible formation and players seem to be pushed into a space whether they can perform there or not. Jim seems more focused on his system and persisting in making it work rather than seeing how best to use what he has.

I'd imagine most players would see that as a positive move. More money, better players, better manager............................what's not to like?

Why? If they hadn't then the usual suspects would have been whining about the club keeping them in the dark. Instead we've got whining about the club not keeping us in the dark. TBH, if you want to see embarrassing, then look no further than your posts.

You are so wrong , at that level in Scotland now in can be beneficial for players and a football club to stay part time, specially a club who's ambition is to stay in the League, they can attract the better players who don't want to go full time but still play and the highest level possible, You need to think out the box Lenzie,

    Effect of Coronavirus

Meanwhile, employment just got a little creepier. This sort of thing just gives me the heeby jeebies. I don't understand why any self-respecting person would allow themselves to be subjected to this at work. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54289152

And at that time you'll see officers getting sprayed with a liquid. Who knows what that liquid is. https://www.ladbible.com/news/uk-footage-captures-moment-police-officers-are-doused-in-petrol-during-ar-20200929?c=1601370974469

.......and a manager whom he knows well and with whom he has worked successfully in the past. Kyle must surely be very interested in this move. If not, he would be a very unusual professional footballer. However, Ross is taking a chance, given Kyle's recent long spell out due to injury. Even before that, I think most people who saw Kyle regularly would agree that he wasn't producing the goods as regularly as he did in previous seasons. If Hibs try again, we should probably take money for Kyle, rather than wait till January when he can sign a pre-contract and leave for nothing. Any money received for him could perhaps go towards signing a player who might help us get out of our present predicament.

You'd have to think that if Hibs have made a bid that Kyle is up for the move.

The players are under performing due to the manager fecking awful tactics and basic lack of football know-how. How the feck can players follow instructions when the manager himself doesnt have a fecking clue what hes on about...cannot believe Goodwin is in charge and remains so. Everybody can clearly see whats unfolding infront of us all and nobody doing a thing to stop it. Without defensive cover Goodwin should not have been allowed to get rid of Baird, why are serious questions not getting asked?

Maybe it’s a reflection of where he can see the club heading, not good for morale if your captain goes.

I don't think Jim is getting the best out of most of the squad and swapping Magennis for players from Conference League ain't goint to change anything. I would like Kyle to stay but if he wants to go then we have little option. But I have little faith in the team improving with the money.

Kyle Magennis will get nowhere near the levels of John McGinn and probably McLean too given he made it to the EPL. It it was a deal that could see Mallan return I'd snap your hand off, he's EXACTLY the type of player we need right now, someone willing to get forward with a goal threat and a good dead ball threat too.

I might be in a minority, but I think it would depend on the offer. If we can use the money to improve other areas of the squad, ie cover in defence, playmaker in midfield, then given his injury woes and the fact he's out of contract at the end of the season, it might not be a bad bit of business. Neither Stevie Mallan or Scott Allan are in the Hibs team just now, I wonder if a wee swap deal might be possible?

I'm not sure what is worse, you're ignorant and endless stream of alt right videos or you exposing your ignorance of basic ideologies of governments of the world. China is the antithesis of Marxism. Karl Marx argued for the proletariat taking control of the means of production, which would free workers as they would no longer be bound by the labour market; he envisaged such a society as having minimal state intervention, as the state by definition was an organ of control. Compare that with China, where state control is extreme. You really talk some amount of pish.

    Annual, Manager Must Go Thread.

The results are merely part of the problem albeit a big one. I can honestly say that for the second half yesterday, I noticed myself doing something that I've been doing a lot more when watching these games on the telly. I switched off. Not physically, as the game remained on til the end but I found myself browsing my phone, drifting away onto another subject whilst the hopeless commentator mumbled a lot of stupid platitudes in the background and I realised, I wasn't f**king interested. Anyone who knows me from off of here, understands and knows that when I'm at a match, I'm usually one of those folk that the commentator is apologising on behalf of for the language. I attack every ball mentally, I live on the edge of my seat for the full 90 mins... always has been the case... even way back in mid 90s as a ball boy when I got 'booked' post match in the tunnel for calling the ref a 'f**king joke' under my breath as we trudged past him following a controversial loss. 😂 Point being, at the end, if we win, it's a boost mentally but if we lose, when I leave I make sure I never let it affect me personally or my mood outwith the immediate hour or two in the aftermath of the result. But as I sat yesterday, I realised, we're so mind numbing that I had my face in my phone for the full second half, I didn't care to mentally will the team forward or even get frustrated at them for misplaced passes etc, as the team, frankly are f**king boring. Not just shite. We've seen shite in the past, more times than I care to remember, but absolutely devoid of any ability in the opposition half, a basic competence of getting the ball into area where we potentially might score. When we do get into the final third, we seem to have stumbled into it rather than carved out a chance. My main criticism of Goodwin teams is that there is no attacking intent or finesse, it's a horribly panicked mantra of 'get the ball forward 50 times, one or two of those are bound to have a lucky bounce and let us in for a shot' and it's absolutely painful to watch. I'm not in the Goodwin out camp. Not yet anyway, but he's about 3 or 4 weeks away from being untenable. Even if the results do turn, the football served will still be the gash were subject to. I don't mind a team hunkering in and grinding out a result when the pressure is on but we should not be performing that way against teams around us. It's an eyesore and a total turnoff.
