I'm not going to be critical of Teale, this isn't his fault. He's tried the best with what he has. The BoD need to make a decision this week, and really should have a man lined up to take the job, whether it be Teale or someone else. Needs to happen now.
If there are not three or 4 players coming in January then it won't matter who the manager is.

There isn't a manager on the planet who could save this squad from relegation. We are finally paying for years and years of signing absolute dross!!! When was the last time we made a good signing? Someone who came in and made a real difference? Apart from a few short term successful loans the answer might be Steven Thompson and that was 2011!!!! And the last time we signed a real centre half was so long ago it's embarrassing! Will Haining maybe and that was 2007!!!
The amount of rubbish ( dozens of them) signed by Danny and Tommy is why we are where we are and that will almost certainly be the Championship next season.

I hope too that this woman makes a full and speedy recovery and have no doubt she will receive the very best treatment.
But is there not something wrong with a system that allows someone who is brave and dedicated enough to go to another country and help with the outbreak to run the risk of actually spreading the disease?

First post, although I've been a regular follower of the forum for years. You can tell by the hour of this post that I've been out on the town(St Andrews, since I moved from Paisley 24 years ago), so apologies if I'm bletherin' nonsense. My dad(like his dad) took me to Love Street regularly since 1979 and I have inflicted St Mirren on my own son(partly his choice) over the past 3 or 4 years, instead of taking him to Tannadice with his two Arab nephews. That's another topic of conversation, supporting local teams etc,,,,
We are at yet another turning point in the St Mirren saga/history and the Board have a difficult scenario to address. The decision of whether Tommy Craig is the right man to lead our club is not a difficult one....he clearly isn't and the BOD are wise enough to realise this. As has been stated on countless occasions on this forum, no one apart from the BOD will know why Tommy was gifted a 2 year contract(the cheap option doesn't explain the 2 year aspect???)
Gilmour and the rest of the Board are supporters, like us, and want the best for St Mirren, the difference being that although the pain cuts very deep and it is worrying and depressing to us, I haven't had sleepless nights over our predicament. I think the BOD have, and realise their monumental cockup with Craig's appointment. I am not an expert on our finances, but know that sacking Tommy is going to hurt our club (and possibly the BOD personally) financially, when they rightly sack him in the next few days. They made a mistake and we are where we are.
When Danny(Saints legend) left us, I thought it was the right decision as a new direction was required, but Tommy Craig was the most uninspiring appointment possible and that is without hindsight. The BOD will have to live with this cheap and narrow-minded decision, even after they hand over the reigns to whoever. This is yet another low point as a Saints fan, but we've been here many times.
My inebriated point this morning is that we all make mistakes and the BOD have made a massive one this season. We need to trust them to attempt to fix their mistake and bring in another manager that can build belief amongst the current squad and bring in 3 or 4 players in January, in key positions through the spine of the team. Surely they realise that the longer Tommy is in charge, the further we will sink, so they need to act after yesterday!!
Our family brick at St Mirren Park reads ," Bad times make good times great,", but I forgot how shi*e the bad times were.

The only unusual thing on here is that anyone should be surprised at another defeat. We can't defend or score goals so its not exactly rocket science that we don't win games.
A board who don't want to be there a manager who shouldn't be there an inability to sign a proper centre half and no one who will bag anywhere near the amount of goals Thommo did.
I disagree that there isn't much between the bottom 6. Bottom 5 maybe but we are hopeless and it is really difficult to see where a point never mind 3 is coming from.
Lets be clear. If nothing changes then this team will finish bottom of the league come May. Even during Danny's terrible runs you turned up thinking we could win. Not this team.
Thommo back, centre half signed and manager (along with coaches) relieved of duties is the minimum required. If that doesn't happen then there is no doubt its first division here we come. Surely everyone at the club realises that!!!!!

Sorry am I missing something here. A player who spends far to much time sitting in the stand suspended another who was injured for most of the season and hardly kicked a ball and not any experience between them coaching. Please let me what you find so exciting?

You've got to assume that perhaps the sale of the club is close and therefore it won't be a decision for the current board to make. Nothing else makes sense.

He was let down by imposters like Valencia, Nani and Young. Players long past their best like Evra, Ferdinand and Carrick and players who shouldn't be anywhere near Manchester United first team like Cleverley, Kagawa, Rafael, Fellaini and Jones. Only the keeper, Rooney, Vidic and Van Persie would get a game in the current top four teams.
How Alex Ferguson won the league last year with that bunch just goes to show the genius of the man. Huge clear out required and won't happen in a season no matter who they get in as the top 4 are miles ahead of them.

There are no excuses regardless of the fixtures.
To be honest, I would have preferred 3 away matches. Our bottle invariably crashes at home, and the atmosphere is shite.
