Don't think you can get much more official than the manager saying they're leaving.

I kinda do because we're thinking of becoming Goodie fans for the day next Saturday. Come on all you Buds out there. A real chance to thank Jim for all he gave us.

mckellag got a reaction from shull in Saturday Morning Before Final Possible Club For Few Beers
First time in Buddies - really disappointed that no saints stuff except pic of Davie Lapsley holding the cup next to downstairs bogs!
Seems to have been all saints fans plus a few English interlopers in - still only about 15 in total. Spicy sausage roll was no bad!
Not be rushing back to see Ayr game next week - buy it on saints TV

mckellag reacted to Saint Garf in Mallan to Barnsley???
Players like Mallan and McAllister are going to move on at some point. Best case scenario for us is, they're sold, for a decent fee, to big clubs who don't need them quite yet and will allow them to be loaned back to us for the rest of the season. We get the cash in the door now, the players are off the wage bill, but we don't lose their abilities on the park.

Oh FFS that really is terrible.
Any more of those crap puns and you're going to be in hot water bud.
Move oolong folks. Nothing to tea here.

mckellag reacted to foxbar_bud in Shankland
I guess the difference is, and no offence meant to John, but players like John are not too rare. Whereas how many teenage central midfielders have a goal scoring record like Stevie Mallan?
Look at all the players Dundee Utd produced and sold, Stewart Armstrong for example, had a scoring record of 18 goals in 126 league games, Stevie has 15 goals in 56. Also compare him to Hibs/Celtics Liam Henderson, who is the same age, 10 goals in 59 (League games only, his record is worse if you add in cup games).
I'm not saying Mallan is worth millions, but based on his goal record above the Dundee offer of £60k is insulting. FFS we paid about £30k for Gareth Wardlaw.......
Edited to add: I have realised he has just turned 20

mckellag reacted to Drew in St Mirren V Morton 16/4/2016 Fan Solidarity Day
Enjoyed that.
We deserved to win, as we were the better team on the day. Only when we sat off them, did they threaten.
Goals all well taken, and, refreshingly, the players really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Shankland gets my MotM. I thought Cooper played well, and Gallagher had a decent game. Langfield didn't have too much to do, and some credit for that must go to the defence.
We look far more organised than under Murray, and there is, crucially, a much better spirit about the place.
Aye, that was thoroughly enjoyable.

FFS... The last couple of posts. You guys! Don't you get it? Rangers never died. Rangers never ripped anyone off. Rangers never dodged tax. Rangers never ripped anyone off with share issues. Rangers never did nuthin'....
It was the spivs who owned the company who owned Rangers wot' did it.
Jesus, keep up!

At the mo I don't see much of a difference between Murrays team and Rae's. We still give up the midfield. But good 3 points today. But performance only slightly better.

mckellag reacted to ronaldo in St Mirren V Alloa Athletic 30/1/16
The problems all stem from the back 4, not one single decent pass has been made from them in the first half. Baird just launches every ball that comes to him, Kelly smashes every ball down the line and webster is that slow he doesn't get the chance to make passes before he is closed down and just loses it. It must get better in the second half, on this form we are heading the wrong way after what was an encouraging week

mckellag reacted to windae cleaner in Saints V Raith Rovers
We will be in another league if that's allowed to happen
I was told by Pro's that he was a stubborn man and doesn't change his ways
Part of his job is decision making and he's sadly lacking in that department
Our midfield was crying out for change midway through the second half as Carswell who offered nothing all night was tiring badly.
Howieson who was far better in the middle was also struggling and it caused Raith to get a foothold again
He takes a forward off and stuck a very slight wide man up front
In saying that he's not only one at the Club who is a very poor decision maker these days

& for that , i`m sorry the blame lies squarely with the management team.

Gus Macpherson used to come in for huge stick on this forum for playing 1 striker up front.
Yet he only actually ever did it at Ibrox, Parkhead & Tynecastle.
I know its all the rage these days but really... we're now playing in the Championship... at home to Raith fecking Rovers!
