Whilst we are discussing the art of film or "the flicks" has anyone seen 2 girls 1 cup?
There is a scene or two that will remain in the mind for sometime
Dear God, googled and found a 1 minute clip of it.
-
No as BIG as Cathy Barry right enough
Had to google for that one.
Aye she's a big lassie right enough.
This could lead to a top fives meets the nightshift thang.

Loach is gritty realisim which sometimes maybe a bit too real . Kes is the pinnacle of his work by a country mile though , the Brian Glover cameo is first class . Must say, l like his other stuff but you know from the start that there is no happy ending .
Glover. Oh Lord yes.
It was only in comparison to Sweet Sixteen, whic I have on DVD, that I went for Kes, the best of his oeuvre.
If I want the shit side of my home town I'll get Peter McDougall's stuff.
-
I thought you'd like any scenes depicting scumbaggery from Sweet Sixteen
Loach is very over-rated. Kes was his best work, and that's a long time ago.

When Mary Millington gets.....................naw we'll forget aboot that wan
My lord NSS, that name's a blast from the past.
She was a BIG lassie though.

In no particular order...
1. Walk north along Macrahanish Beach (and if you carry on a wee bit norf ver a very rocky stretch, there's a nice pub on another nice beach.)
2. Walk south along Macrahanish Beach (and if you carry on a wee bit souf, there's a nice pub.)
The beach is really superb. Though the day I encountered the remains of a dead and rank smelling seal will remain in my memory for some time. I smelled the bluidy thing about 300 yards before I found the remains.
Walking around the extreme southern tip is lovely, looking west is Arran, great sight.
Lovely campsite at Macrahanish though it can get a bit noisy when hercs are taking of from the airbase.

Nope, doing this on laptop with latest firefox and XP pro.

Easy.
1958.
1. Bertie joined brother Gibby Ormond at Airdrie in the front line it says on the programme.
2. Bertie was with Airdrie 1958-60, PLayed 10 scored 4
ORMOND Bert IF 58-60 Falkirk Dumbarton 10 4
3. I can't recall Priestley in goals or Ralston at Centre forward for the Buddies but I do remember Tony(?) Gregal and McTurk - a hammer man! And that was afore we won the cup! Thus NOT 1959 so it has to be 1958.
I hope this helps?
For free.
Wonderful and logical, also perpetual calendar shows 9 Aug 1958 to be a saturday.

Chaps there's a simple cure for all of this. Don't use Internet explorer.
Download Mozilla firefox.
Be careful when you are visiting adult sites.

Ach well two of us know the script about alienware.
I must admit I never saw the need for a gaming laptop which would be the only reason to splash over £1,000 on a laptop which will give poorer performance than a comparably priced desktop.
Each to their own.

Is that about Tunnocks opening an outlet in Greenock?
You're interested in outlets in Greenock?
Dr Freud will see you soon.

Just bought 300 from woolies today as a present. To my delight it is not wrapped in celophane meaning I can watch it tonight before wrapping it.
Hilarious homo-fest.
Just been in Asda Govan where not only do they have a DVD xmas sale, but a War Movie DVD xmas sale. Got The Battle of the Bulge and Platoon for a tenner.Platoon- wonderful film, well scripted and acted.
Battle of the bulge, good for playing spot the actors. Robert Shaw is excellent. Telly Salvalas has the role he reprises in Kelly's Heroes.
Tank saddoes wil lament that samerican M60 tanks are used as tigers.
Patton, Lust for Glory is IMO a better film

Exitable Boy - Warren Zevon. Dedicated to NSS.
Excellent call. Some great songs from his pen. "Lawyers, guns and Money" and "Mohammed's Radio" and great choons.
Currently grooving to the Byrds. Sequence of "Ballad of Easy Rider", "Mr Tambourine Man" and "Turn, Turn, Turn".

Believe it or not, we only buy the Mail On Sunday for the crossword. I've never actually read any of the paper. Even the sports pages are rubbish.
You're forgiven.
Saturday's Times is fine for the two T2 crosswords. Lady McB(eth) and I enjoy a joint crossword.

The freebie disk from the Mail On Sunday - UB40
You read the "Mail on Sunday"?
Should you not be on a "Darkies are Ruining our Country" forum?

Only if you're a nascent god-botherer...
It's unwatchable shite for the secular among us.
Beat me to the punch.
As a God botherer may I state that I've never seen the fecking show.

The Huron Carol.
Lovely wee choon.

John Inman popping up from behind

Starange, eh? Perhaps I should stress that I didn't actually shag her - it was just a dream.
Not to sure about that, to the medieval mind such encounters were often a sign of coupling with satanic forces.
The article is slightly wrong about the Malleus, the book states that an incubus and succubus were two facets of the same demon.
See me, see reading too much p1sh.
Oh aye, and the correct translation of Malleus Maleficarum is " Hammer of Evil"

I was sure it was meaty BEEFY etc...
One of us must've had our ears full.

The Adverts - Gary Gilmores Eyes
"Gary don't need his eyes to see, Gary and his eyes have parted companee"
Cracking memories of '77.
Made me dig out Tom Lehrer's "I hold your hand in mine."
I hold your hand in mine, dear,I press it to my lips.
I take a healthy bite
From your dainty fingertips.
My joy would be complete, dear,
If you were only here,
But still I keep your hand
As a precious souvenir.
The night you died I cut it off,
I really don't know why.
For now each time I kiss it
I get bloodstains on my tie.
I'm sorry now I killed you,
For our love was something fine,
And till they come to get me
I shall hold your hand in mine.

If you like this sorta music you should listen to Tom Waits. His tales of the seedier side of things would, no doubt, be familiar to an ex-citizen of Olde Greenock Town!
*******************************************
I have most of his oeuvre.
Heart of saturday night is a wonderful track.

Have you ever heard the REM cover of it? It is on a covers album I'm your fan, along with pixies, james, nick cave etc.
Nope- must try and find it online.
Grooving to Steely Dan, Pearl of the Quarter. Everyday tale of a chap who falls in love with a lady of the night.

Eclectic choices sir.
I had completely forgotten Electra glide. Very much an arty film of its time.
A matter of life and death as above, still watch it on DVD.
Il Postino is a wee gem of a picture.
