  1. We all know what he can do, doesnt matter who hes playing with down south. We all witnessed him score over 30 goals and help us win the championship. Why all the doubters??
  2. The standard in our league is very poor, that's why we're still not bottom of the league when we cant score goals and have had to play midfielders as centre halves and right backs. Also explains why Cody Cooke is still at the club after contributing next to nothing. Reilly scored over 30 goals in our championship winning team. He would do just fine in this premier league.
  3. We should go and sign Gavin Reilly. He wouldve scored a barrel load in that killie game. Hes not the best footballer but give him a chance in the box and more often than not he'll bury it. A bit like in the shankland mould. Could be the answer to all those missed chances and dropped points in games. Bring him back Jim!

  5. Sign Popescu and Davies back. Also get Reilly back. He wouldve scored a barrel load in that Killie game.
  6. Plus very few goals from our big hope's up front
  7. We aren't taking enough chances, we've lost umpteen crucial points this season because of it. Today we had 19 shots and scored 1 goal. It's not good enough
  8. More competitive as in more garbage in the league than last season
  9. Disagree, we're absolutely hopeless going forward! We're just getting away with it because there are so many other bad teams in the league.
  10. The standard is worse this season, that's why we need to win more games cos the likes of hamilton, st johnstone, ross county are able to get points off the other teams. That wasnt really the case last season. We are not a good team and somehow have 19 points. I thought kearneys team was better than this one but they found it harder to get points
  11. Yes but this is a more competitive league so we'll probably need more points than last season to avoid relegation
  12. I'm delighted with the 3 points but couldn't help leaving the stadium a bit exacerbated at how powder puff we are in front of goal. 19 shots, most of them into the crowd or even into the Cart in Cookes instance! Against better teams and when the scoreline is 0-0 this is no use. Even thought a slightly better saints team would have got a draw in that Celtic game. It's a case of being pleased at winning but when looking at the bigger picture we're in desperate need of some quality because we are going to give up a lot of important points in the remainder of the season. If I was Goodwin I wouldn't be going in and praising the team, I'd be ripping into them for not winning more easily against a team that gave us acres of space and time. As for Killie if they keep playing like that they'll be relegated.
  13. Climate change is an agenda set up by world powers and governments to make money and control the populations. Al Gore (part of the elites who rule the world) started it with "global warming" then when they realised the planet wasnt actually heating up they changed the wording to "climate change". You know it's an agenda when you cant have the opposite opinion without being shouted down or having it called hate speech. The very same goes for the trans gender agenda and the vegan agenda to name a few. Dont fall into the trap of trying to be PC and being brainwashed to do the work for the governments in silencing anyone with an opposite opinion. Your free speech is disappearing by the second.
  14. Notice something about the first picture at fir park. Not 1 person in that whole crowd has their mobile phone out to take a picture or video. Everyone is just in the moment of euphoria. Those were the days...........
  15. We've had our 33% of the hibs sale. That's it over
  16. In the short time he was on Junior looked good. Strong, held it up well, won free kicks and had a drive and shot then the chance he missed. I had just commented before he came on that we didn't have a striker who could control and turn with the ball the way Defoe does and then junior came on and did exactly that!
  17. Couldve put a man on the post. Was obvious where he was going to hit it
  18. Ex Dutch international. Very quick to dismiss him!
  19. Nigel when he first came to us was one of the best players I'd ever seen for st mirren. Outstanding for the first half of the season. Shame he didn't keep it up and then did his traitor act with St J but theres been many a worse player than hasselbaink!
  20. Brutal, really??? Compared to Tommy Craig, Ian Murray, Alex Rae, Alan Stubbs? We were keeping the ball like Barca back then!
  21. Yep best St Mirren manager in the last 30 years. Best football played, best players (Thompson, Teale, Goncalves, Dummett, Carey, McGowan, McLean, McGinn and the list goes on) Best league finish, Cup winners. At times we were a joy to watch. Always remember the first few games of his 2nd season when all the big names signed. Dunfermline away we played like Brazil and somehow drew. The 2nd game though was just about the best I've ever seen us play. Absolutely steam rollered aberdeen at home playing barca style passing. Ended 1-0 but was going on 5. Hasselbaink was exceptional. Then we all travelled up to tannadice in week 3 and for the first 30-40 mins we were doing exactly the same to them as we did to aberdeen. Big Thommo scored then hasselbaink was clean through to make it 2-0 but instead got sent off for holding off the chasing defender! I remember after that game thinking for the first time in my life I'm going to see us do something special in the premier league. Craig Paterson on the radio said that day if we kept playing like that we'd finish top 6 no problem, maybe even top 4! We lost momentum after that with nigel suspended for 2 games at a point he was tearing defences apart but there were glimpses throughout that season of how special that team couldve been not least the day we drew at ibrox scoring a magnificent team goal that started with Sampson and ended with Thommo sliding in van zantens cross and all pundits were saying we should've won. But not to worry we stayed up comfortably and the following season wee danny guided us to league cup glory! Hope he gets a bigger job from the recent publicity. He deserves it.
