seems fellow on this forum has same problem, maybe if you read through this it will explain, I had problem with ps3 connecting to internet, I just typed into google some like ps3 connection problem and it comes up with links to forums with posts of people having similar problem :S also if error code comes up that is usefull to get help too.

It doesn't cost anything I know this, i forget how you set it up, but I have wireless internet and i did it so it must be simple enough, have a look on the menu thing when the ps3 loads up and there should be something for it there.

well i think obvious thing would be a virus:S did you scan with computer to check for any?
