Aye, has the feel of a pre-season game, as expected.
Ayr closing us down and looking to create on the break. Saints players not looking fully match fit. Sutton need to jump more often to win the ball, but that's John and always was.
Morgan looks most up for it tonight. A couple of scrambles at both ends but nothing of any real quality created by either side.
Lovely evening, though.

Even sitting gazing out onto the bay of Naples from my balcony in Sorrento, it has sounded pretty shite on saints radio. Will need to up my consumption of real peroni ( not that asturro nastro pish) and prosecco .

Scrappy pre season fayre so far. Saints probably had the better of it. Few half chances but nothing clear cut.

Ayr certainly getting stuck in, one of their hatchet men got a yellow for what looked like a straight red two footed challenge to me.

Morgan definitely looking sharpest for us, thought Hutton has been poor though.

Could they mibbie kick off 2 hours earlier, it after 10 o'clock and I'm tired?

Good play there from st mirren, but gallagher took too many touches before attempting to shoot in the box

The coverage is much better now than when we were in the Premiership.  Every home game live and nearly every game live on the radio, I don't want to stay in the championship for that reason, some of the games are feckin grim stuff and its only the fact that I've supported St Mirren for 48 years that keeps me watching and wanting my team to do well.

Not sure the two things are linked, the TV and radio stuff is mainly down to the link up with UWS rather than anything else. The partnership between the club and UWS won some sort of award last week

One year ago today we where doing a pilot/launch of SMTV in a pre-season game v Bradford.
 
One season on eh.   Already missing the place.

Oh dear. Nothing positive? I guess I should take back my praise of Lewis Morgan, David Clarkson and Gary Irvine then?  
I'm not at the wind up. I'm not even being confrontational. It's you that has taken issue with an honest opinion that I have posted. An opinion I should point out that hasn't been countered or denied by anyone who was at the match, and an opinion you're only argument against appears to be that you think it's OK for professional players to not be fully prepared in time for their first competitive football match of the season - which is fair enough I guess if you are happy to accept poor performances and defeats in the opening matches of any season. 
As for your assertion that I won't see any silky football in Scotland, well again you may well be right. It's a fairly sad statement about the Scottish game, but then perhaps there is a clue as to where at least part of the problem lies when so called "football fans" like yourself are so determined to send paying customers packing, making it clear they shouldn't expect any quality for their buck up here. 
I will be travelling down the M74 on a number of occasions this season as I have done for a number of years now since giving up my St Mirren season ticket and I've no doubt I'll enjoy it. I suppose I'll have to consider your comments though if my son asks me along to Greenhill Road with him this season and I'll just have to tell him that I won't be going because nedflanders123 said I should go elsewhere.
