Would just like to add something not about Sammy. The abuse Paul McGowan got on Saturday when he came on as a sub for Dundee from a former Saints employee for one was disgusting.. Guys is a Saints LEGEND. Man of the match in the 2013 final. I was ashamed to hear what was being shouted. It was so bad I wouldn't even repeat it on here.
Didn't make the game but it's very sad to hear that this happened, Gowser was a cracking player for us and I know he was desperate
to stay with St Mirren when he was freed... There really is some amount of wallopers amongst our support....

No big deal IMO......Samson did a decent enough job for us at time's but truth be told he's no more than an average keeper,
Best of luck to him anyway... Cheerio..

Stubbs might have called it correct but you haven’t! Stubbs has never managed Adam Eckersley.Yes he did mate, he maybe never played under him but he was at Hibs while Stubbs was Manager and was out injured for
most of that time before being released..

Good luck to the lad. Oran I'm sure will keep an eye on him . Edit Ross liked him that's good enough for me. Stubbs glove did not fit St Mirren. The lad sounds hungary to prove himself, stick in I say get the head down then come home and prove yourself.
I would say he sound's more English, but I do hope he can be a success with us...

A media conspiracy?
Well when Stelios was skelped with a bounty bar the media made a joke out of it, if that was a toblerone it could have taken
his eye out.....

Wonderful photos. Keep them coming.
In a previous photo with the Abbey, could that be Rae the Coal Merchants Lorry and Cunninghams Bus?
Re lousy Lager, many moons ago there was a pub just before Kennedys coming from the Cross which if I remember correctly
was an Edinburgh Brewers pub and sold Skol. Can you recall the name?
The railway network link with so much information brings back memories of my "Anorak Days"
I think you could be talking about the Dusty Millers...

Had a look on Google Maps and i think it's Mossvale Church Spire in the background.
Naw mate I don't think it is, the angle of the bridge would be different, more looking across it rather than from the side..
I think EAB has got it pretty much spot on..

No, this is the only picture of Westmarch that exists.
You can see the footbridge of St. James train station above the goal at the far end and the "Dummy Railway" embankment running from there to behind the grandstand.
This means that Westmarsh was on the piece of land between the current North Stand and the railway embankment.
Got it now, the St James church spire in the background, but would the Dummy Railway have existed then, always thought
it was built for the car plant, I'm probably wrong though..

Paisley has only ever had one junior team, St. Mirren Juniors who won the Junior Cup in 1916/17.
They played at Love St and were only in existence for four seasons.
It looks like it has been marked out with chalk on blaize.
Is it possibly the site of our old ground at Westmarch?

Horrific display. Shape and tactics all wrong and players looking flat.
Exactly, this 3 at the back pish to accommodate Tierney and Robertson is a joke, both players don't look comfortable with it and
Johnny fecking Russell WTF.... We are truly awful..

Samson to Sunderland
in General St. Mirren Discussion
Posted
A wild guess, I would say there's maybe been around 1500 players who've played for St Mirren through our entire history, only 44 of
of them plus a few sub's have ever helped win us a national cup, I'll admit Gowser's acted like a Bampot at times but like everyone in
every walk of life we've all fcuked up at some point in our lives ....... Gowser like all the other cup winner's are St Mirren Legends..
