I heard Eddie Jordan also wants to get Paisley on F1 calander with a Street circuit around the oneway system!
Says its not a Shit hole and should be up there with Abu Dahbi,Monaco,Barcelona!
Personally told me it was the facilities that made his mind up the new score board with the infniti add did it for him!
Also thinks it could be possible in the future Paisley could have it's own F1 team!
Last time he was at Glasgow Airport he stopped in at the Wee Barrel for a pint and was offered Cheap Hubcaps and a Spoiler of a mk 1 Ford Feista Xr2i along with several sets of alloys!!

According to one of my sources who is very well connected to St Mirren, Irish businessman and former owner of Livingston FC is about to make a bid to buy St Mirren FC, one of his backers his the fomer Formula One owner Eddie Jordan.
From my understanding Pearse Flynn is due to meet the St Mirren BOD on Friday morning.

I wish the boy all the best and hope he does a job for us between now and the end of the season.
However, he is only here on loan, and so not a signing as far as I'm concerned. When are we going to bring players in on a contract? I feel sorry for Gary Teale & David Longwell, having their best asset sold from under them. What makes it worse is that we have sold him to a rival club and for a pittance, considering his age and prospects in the game.
I'm too pissed off to write any more about our current situation, except to say that the sooner we get new owners, the better for us all.

Our best player for 300k. What a contrast to the likes of Utd, Hamilton and even Falkirk we really are. He's been sold to a direct rival for about a third of his current valuation. Gutted about it but life goes on.

Well, you and I won't agree often but in this case.....The cheats of the game (The Rangers, Hearts, Motherwell, Dundee & Killie to name a few) have given fans a sense that it's ok to go down the route of spunking millions to win a fraction back in prize money and get pumped by some Baltic mob in the qualifiers of the Europa League the next July. It's not. We've operated with integrity regarding our finances for as long as a great many on this forum have supported the club and those of us a little bit older can remember why. We don't want to go down that route again.
It's not the money we spend that's the problem IMO. It's the return we get for that outlay. I've no doubt there are better players available for the wages we pay and I'm certain that a different manager would be able to get more from the existing squad we have.
We should absolutely stick with the your policy also. It is definitely bearing fruit. I wouldn't say it's fabulous but it's certainly helps the club survive in fairly troubled times. Selling someone for a million quid wouldn't hurt though!

Why this talk of liquidation? We've no really got any debt. There are plenty teams in worse much shape than us...
Bit of investment on the matchday experience - bit of improvement on the park and we could see our wee stadium full every week. Large population in Paisley. Just need to get them through the gates.
