  1. No need for Brian Caldwell to answer. Its all there in the Report & Accounts which is available publically. All income in the League Cup winning season was spent. There was nothing left over. This is the same every season.
  2. Its not surprise to see faraway and kendo condone sectarianism. After all, both of them were very keen to see the newly formed Sevco club put straight into the SPL. faraway's description of himself and kendo - scum - is very apt.
  3. Spain won the Euro championship playing 4-6-0
  4. Yes, indeed, like Charlie Adam. As you were happy to see Sevco go straight into the SPL I think that we already know that you condone the exploitation of sectarianism and hatred.
  5. Says the guy who backed Sevco to go straight into the SPL. The only folk who think that the union flag is a Rangers flag are Rangers fans. Maybe explains your post...
  6. On the contrary, the Old Firm became very big and large by exploiting small-mindedness and bitterness.
  7. I agree. However, what is your view on someone earning a living from an employer that makes its money by exploiting sectarianism and hatred?
  8. Is this really the best that the yes campaign can come up with?
  9. Still abusive 2 days later I see. Mods - can anything be done here? I thought this forum had a policy of zero tolerance?
  10. The problem is twofold. 1. Tommy Craig will be cautious after his disasters in last season's transfer market. 2. The BoD will be cautious because of Tommy Craig's disasters in last season's transfer market. We should really therefore have gone for a clean break and appointed a different manager. In saying that, I'm glad we missed out on Stevenson.
  11. Seems that Rowling has been subjected to a load of personal abuse over her opinions. Anotehr story in the media this morning about someone else being subject to abuse for daring to support the no campaign. As I stated earlier in this thread, this thread is actually a bit like real life Scottish society. The majority will vote no and very few are prepared to talk about it for fear of the abuse they will receive. This thread mirrors that. Who would want to live in an intolerant nation like that? There will be a big back lash against the abusive yes campaign at the polls.
  12. The Old Firm gain their success by exploiting sectarianism and hatred. There is no way around this fact. Anyone who is employed by these clubs is being paid money from the exploitation of sectarianism and hatred.
  13. No suprise to see faraway sticking up for sectarianism. Again.
  14. I hope one of his dodgy knees doesn't go just as they go into administration and start making staff redundant. Cos that would be a real shame.
  15. The thing is though, as has been pointed out, Tesselaar spent most of last season in centarl defence for Killie. Maybe he is the central defender that TC wants.
  16. Stuart - the phrase "Celtic Tiger" is metioned early in that Salmond speech. You didn't get your animals mixed up at all.
  17. Slartibartfast - you make a number of good points. Its good reading and I enjoy reading your debate with Stuart. Why do you feel the need to also add a load of personal abuse in your posts though?
  18. Deary me. Its okay for you to misrepresent what others post and you have a problem when it happens to you?
  19. Deary me. Where did I mention the word "conspiracy"? The Nats like to moan about Westminster rule and how Scots would be better of running our own enconomy but the fact is that it was Scots who were at the heart of running the economy when the last recession hit. And Labour were in charge, not the Tories. And the idea that massive financial institutions such as RBS ans HBOS played no part in the financial crisis is literally incredible.
  20. I read somehwhere that the reason they had bands is because it allowed the programme to qualify as a "variety" programme and therefore get the funding they needed to do it. I agree that the Young Ones was his best work. I used to watch the videos over and over again and never ever get tired of it. Even today, I will get into fits of laughter watching it.
  21. First year in my day everyone had to do home economics. You're obviously a lot older than me... Most classes degenerted into food fights and bags of flour being thrown over folk.
  22. Your post is very ironic when you consider that the recession was caused by Scottish banks under a Labour Government full of Scots, including Scottish prime minister. And that the economy is now recovering under a Tory government!
  23. Is Kelly in central defence really not an option? A left sided central defender is a good option to have and Kelly played in central defence in the U21s. Mark Reynolds is a left footed central defender who doesn't fit the stereo type of a big centre half and he's done well at Motherwell & Aberdeen.
  24. My all time favourite episode was ‘nasty’ which featured an appearance by The Damned (Captain Sensible included!). There are so many scenes and lines in that which were just genius. The graveyard scene where the vicar starts off with “ashes to ashes” and Rik starts singing “funk to funky, we all know major tom’s a junky” before the vicar nuts him and throws him into the grave was similar to a real life classic I experienced at school.* We were in home economics and the teacher told us to ensure the cakes were ‘golden brown’, where upon one of my class mates began singing out loud the Stranglers hit… One of these moments you probably have to experience to find the funny side but it still makes me laugh even to this day. Same guy was good at this sort of stuff in similar vein to Rik. On another occasion in a class the teacher had gone beserk and there was sudden quiet. This silence went on for about 10 mins with everyone working until this guy shouted out “this is worse than Tenko”. The laughter that ensued was on a par with the Roman soldiers in the Biggus Dickus scene. Love the follow up lines in this scene… Rik – “help I’ve just fallen into a grave” Viv – “great, let’s fill it in” Neil – “no, we can’t bury Rik alive” Viv – “you are absolutely correct Neil, let’s kill him first”… whack with the spade
