Marc McCausland will move to a English championship team and make St.Mirren a decent return in the future if given a decent central defender to help!! If not he will stay at St.Mirren doing the best he can with no help...

Give him a break ffs the season has not started yet and it starts again! Give him a good central defender to play along side this season and judge him at the end of the season. We need a good cb and have done for 4 years now.

Nigel done well in Perth in his first season he was a regular in the team and played well. The next season saw the emergence of Steven May who was young player of the year that season so started on the bench for some of the second season at the Fakes but still went on to feature from the start in 22 games for them. The reason he was not offered a new deal in Perth was so the club could secure Steven May the very same reason St.Mirren never offered Mcgowan a new contract so they can offer Kenny McClean a better one!. So if a player who has played in Europe and in the top 6 for the last 2 seasons becomes available on a free contract and doesn't comand too much in wages why not?. His best seasons in Scotland were when he played for us he is exciting to watch has experience in the top half of the league and is still only 24. He would link up well with Thomo and has pace he is a nightmare for defenders and draws fouls out them in good positions. If he is not after stupid wages then bring him back its a no brainer for me! If he is asking for stupid wages thanks but no thanks and move on.

I think we should have done more to keep him... The fakes offered more money and european football. He was a bit inconsistent at times with us but over all a good exciting player who scored a few goals!. He went to the Fakes got 2 top 6 finishes and a Scottish cup winners medal. If a top 6 player with a winners medal becomes available on a free contract and he is not getting stupid wages its not going backwards its good business?.

I would bring Nigel back to the club he was exciting to watch and scored a few goals when he was here last time. He would link up well with Thompson and cheaper than Mcgowan so why not?

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with Darren never said thanks for standing by him through his injuries or giving him his chance at full time football. I think I remeber the rest of the squad helped him by giving him some of there bonus money when he was injured?. Ive met Darren on a few occasions seems a really nice lad so I hope he had said something along the lines of thank you and the reporter has not put it in his article? I think Saints fans Who say they hope he gets injured playing for Rangers comments are below the belt!! He is a Hibs fan so imo he went to Rangers for money and after his injuries it sets him up for the rest of his life.. I hope Rangers don't get promoted next year would love them to go bust again. I don't miss them in the premiership and when there's any bad news about them it brings a wee smile to my face. I hope Darren does well though gave 100 percent when he played for us and can't blame him for taking the money on offer. What I do find funny is Kirk Broadfoot was a better player and they realesed him yet sign Mcgregor who IMO is not as good a player and give him a Top wage?

I would take Tess back if his wages are reasonable. He is still young has experience of the league and the club. Can play anywhere in defence. Kelly and Naismith are very good young player's but like all young players they will go through inconsistent patches over the season and Tess does give us cover for that. Only problem I have with him coming back is If Mcgregor goes to Servco then we only have 1 proper cb and I don't think Tess can fill that position on a regular basis.

Yes I would love to see a fit James Mcfadden at the club but only if he was prepared to take a large wage cut and passed a medical that's why I said can't see it happening!!! Kirk Broadfoot was released by Rangers 3 games into the season they started in the the 3rd division.

I would love St.Mirren to sign Mcfadden but can't see it happening too expensive and too injury prone.

I don't mind signing Craig or Stevenson. Craig can play left mid or centre mid so is versatile gives Wylde competition and a safe bet to bring off the subs bench when needed. Stevenson is a good mid fielder who scores goals in my opinion a better player than Mcgowan was and alot less trouble off the park. I just hope if we were to sign these players they will be joined by a decent central defender and a new striker for starter's!

I would love Kirk Broadfoot back at St.Mirren. I thought he was a great player for us went to Rangers and ruined his career Mcgregor be warned!!! What I will never understand is why Rangers let him go to replace him with a load of foreigners on high wages and are now going for McGregor who in my opinion is not as good as Broadfoot?

Hope it happens waste of a wage at our club anyway! We could finally sign a good CB. Dundee would be a good move for him as he has no future in paisley and in my opinion he's a first division player anyway!

If we want to make top 6 we have to sign players. The central defence is not strong enough and there is no cover in the striker department even with cambell coming in! If McGowan does go down who will play his position with Harkins leaving? The board could also think no more players coming in hearts are down anyway. Danny lennons contract is up at end of the season so extra money could be made available to a new manager?

I like the link between our clubs think it benefits both clubs. Newcastle get back better players with more experience more confidence. Take young Connor Newton might not make it at Newcastle but is now worth more money to the club where's if he had not come on loan to st.mirren he would have left for nothing?. Paul dumnett will be a top player he is a faultless defender good tackler good passer good cross on him never caught out of position and can score a few! Adam cambell who knows yet? but got his first goal within 18 mins of joining the club and 90 mins on the feild so not bad for starters! Better than his carslile debut a 4-0 defeat with him getting 5 mins at the end! I now make a point of watching Newcastle games and enjoyed the pre season game we had with Newcastle and would like that to continue! Welcome paco

I think now saints have tied kello down till the end of the season its time to add a central defender to our squad. I don't rate mair! Mcausland and magregor I do rate but feel they are ropey when played together. The problem is we have no one else to play there? We would miss naismith in the position he is playing just now. I also think we need another striker Thompson has been amazing and looks like he could link up with Adam cambell well but what happens if he is injured!

Cambell money was the best st.mirren keeper of all time i would say. I will never forget the day he took the ball of chick charnley when we won a penalty and scored! Scored another the week later ended the season with 3 goals all from penalties. He was with us so long represented the club very well. We had so many good keepers back then goram,lieghton that is the only reason he never got more caps. Kello is good but can not be considered as a st.mirren best unless he stays for a year or more in my opinion! hope he stays so we can find out? I don't know about Thompson never saw him play just before my time...

I think Danny Lennon has got us in the mix for a top 6 finish. When he said he trusts the young players at the club and brings through naismith and Kelly and they are 2 of our best players so far. The way he has developed mcginn,McLean,Newton,dummnet,dillo has impressed me! Some of his signings have been questionable Cornell bankonen were bad. Grainger,Harkins will come good. Our football is better to watch we have good young players coming through he won us a cup give him a long contract and support him i say! He also talks the our club up at every opportunity. i don't know if we will make top 6 but it will be close this year!

Love Newton his goal in the cup was top class. Playing on the right just now and doing well scored a few this season. Hope we keep him till the end of the season?. We sent paul dummet back a better player Connor Newton doing well he will go back a better player like paul did but don't think he will play for Newcastle as mid feild looks to hard for him to break in to! Now Adam cambell coming up. The question I always wonder is what do Newcastle fans think of the arrangement between our clubs?

I think we should sign a new defender in January. I think magregor and mcausland are younger than mair and slightly better! So if we can get rid of mair bring a defender in who is cheap and available why not! Only problem is I can only think of 1 that fits that category and that's Gary Kenneth! Any other suggestions?

I think we need another defender when we go a goal down we never come back so stop them getting the first goal we need better defensive options and Kenneth would give us that! I also think we desperately need another striker! We really need 2 but would settle for 1. Newton looks as if he is going to stay and teal back and fit Get kello signed up think were good for the second half of the season...
