Harkins will get his chance and will be a good player for us perfect replacements for McGowan should he go to the clink or gets injured. McLean could go he can play there or mcginns position should he go. Grainger will get his chance as well young players often lose some of there form and struggle towards the end of the season Grainger perfect replacement. I don't think what McGowan did was ok in fact I think it was disgusting! I would not want him sacked over it. It is up to the courts to decide his fate not me or anyone on this forum? My biggest 2 issues about the situation is. If he does go to jail the club still have to pay his wages! And the fact he only signed for a year means we could miss months of wages and at the end of the day get nothing?

I think Harkins is still needed at the club. What if McGowan is injured or unavailable Harkins is the perfect replacement. Yes Danny has made mistakes every manager does. But what a turn around 6 points off top 6. Think bankonen and Cornell look to be mistakes. But at the start of the season he said he trusts the young players coming through at the club and Kelly and naismith have impressed. We now have 2 very capable keepers good cover for rb/lb in van zanten and Grainger cover in midfield Harkins and caprice. With cambell coming in mybe? Think we still need one more striker just need cover for Thompson if injured. If he finds that player in January window and our form remains good offer him a new long term contract and let him get on with his job!!!

Lennon deserves a new contract and a bit of faith from the board. We look good just now there are no other teams on any decent form apart from Inverness and there about to lose there manager. I'm not sure we can make top 6 but think we will be safe?. We still have the January window to add to the squad. Lennon has done well for most of his saints career. I herd all about Wembley weekends from my dad and grampa about Scotland great squads in that period about there adventures going to Scotland games and wanted the same. I now no what they mean sure the teams not as good as it once was but if you look at the likes of Belgium team just now why can't Scotland do that?. I have been to Wembley 3 times the stade de France to watch the opening of a world cup. Had the best time of my life in Paris at the park de prance. Its one time I see all my mates some I went right through school with some who have now moved away. The memories of good nights out at Hampden and in Europe. I think most old firm followers feel rangers and Celtic supersedes Scotland and yes some come to Scotland games shout things I don't want to hear! But that happened at love street and at new st.mirren park yet I go there every home game. The sad part for me is there are st.mirren fans who don't want Scotland to do well what's that all about?. I am from paisley and support st.mirren my local team. I also live in Scotland and support my national team. i just thought that was how football worked?.

I think there's a future for both Harkins and Kelly at st.mirren. Kelly is young and will have a dip inform at some point its natural for any young player!. Grainger is the obvious replacement when this happens. Harkins will get his chance when McGowan is suspended or injured. I think we forget these players are new with the results getting better confidence growing the fans not on there back I think they will do ok!.

I really don't mind who plays against hearts on the right both have there merits in that position. I would be inclined to start with the same team we played against Aberdeen from the start. Teal gives us an option latter on in the game. Thompson also had his best game against Aberdeen and scored. Goodwin McLean McGowan Newton or teal (don't mind who) mcginn but he needs to push up feild more?.

I think people forget teal is not young any more to rest him against Aberdeen and have him fully fit for the hearts game and replace him with Newton was great tactics it also allowed us to include mcginn Goodwin McLean in the team and let McGowan play much further forward. My only fault the other night was mcginns reluctance to go down the wing!. having said that think he helped Kelly and was worried about leaving him exposed?. I don't mind who Danny starts against hearts teal or Newton. Teal has been one of our best players. Newton played well the other night I thought! Makes us more solid in midfeild with Newton but more attacking with teal?.

Grainger hails from cumbria and is a carslile united fan. I know he played with hearts but as a professional footballer it should not matter who you play!. He has been poor all season kelly did very well against Aberdeen and deserves another run out. A win against hearts our season looks completely different. I like the way we went about the Aberdeen game when all the pressure was on we said we will be ok if we got all the basics right. We did and were unlucky not to get the win. Show the same attitude against hearts pack out the away end sing your head off get behind the team manager I think we can win!.

100% agree with that Ulysses. I also think naismith is another good young player at the club. I think Kelly looks more direct kind of player where naismith is defensive. I would honestly play Kelly against hearts and have naismith to come on latter to defend it out. its weird saying that both are young inexperienced defenders and I would choose both over Grainger!.

Thought Kelly did more last night than Grainger has done all season. I would play him from the start against hearts!.

When I think back to game last night think I owe mcginn an apology on my assessment that he was very poor. Thing about the game last night that really frustrated me was I felt he could of got forward more. But then I think to who was playing behind him tonight a young boy first full game in senior squad. I thought they actually played well together helped each other out. Kelly I thought had a very good game and in his first full game has done more than Grainger has all season!. I hope mcginn can trust Kelly a bit more and get forward more often than they did tonight. Thought goodwin,van zanten,mair,Newton,McGowan,dilo,magregor, played well!.
