  1. He was looking for 3 times his wage when we offered him a new deal last time round.
  2. This first paragraph is fact. The rest are going on asumption at how the other clubs operate. It suely cant be far from the truth? We live within our means at the end of the day.
  3. We budget for an 11th place finish every season and that is fact. Mr Gilmour addressed this to the fans during the 'armageddon' period 2 years ago. That has been the running of the outgoings since we came up in 2006. Partick probably have a similar approach in their first season. Inverness and St Johnstone have a far grrater budget than ours. They have both being at the right end of he table the last couple of seasons with a larger income. Thry also have investors who are willing to 'push the boat out'. When Dundee come up, their american investors will start to release funds and as mentioned their gates are far greater bigger than ours on a matchday.
  4. Problem with Hasselbaink is that he thinks he is bigger than the club and better than he actually is. We dont need that sort atvour club. Wouldnt surprise me if this is why he hasnt been offered a new deal at the fakes.
  5. Sheff utd seem to me like they think that the scottish leagues are good for picking up players on the lower end scale of 6 figure sums like they have done with scougall and mcnulty. Its not going to work this time round if they want young mcginn. I would hope the board offer him an extension with conditions set that he can leave if a certain value is met etc aswell as sell on fees. He is the biggest prospect in the last 20 odd years imo.
  6. You do find some central belt players find it hard to adjust to up north. Could be his reason for leaving.
  7. If Mclean is for the off, Carey would be good to have as a replacement dead ball specialist.
  8. I would suspect the main reason they have been released is due to being the highest earners at the club, something im not sure we should take a gamble on if it takes a sizeable chunk out of the budget.
  9. Surprised no mention of Billy Davies in the poll considering Stevie Clarke has been added in.
  10. All the best Danny. Sad to see you leave, though you can walk with your head held high.
  11. Went one better and got out the English Championship ;)
  12. Whether it is worth more money or not you would still be moaning. #fact
  13. 1 extra point. Semi finals are quickly forgotten if you havent made it to the final or become winners. 1 extra point that guarantees another season of top flight football? Yep everytime for me.
  14. Maybe Alan Johnston, Derek Adams, Terry Butcher and Alan Archinald should all be sacked aswell then.
  15. Source.....The People? Is this a wind up 'The Rangers' daily rag?
  16. Its a pretty sad affair when one man glorifies in another's loss of employment.
  17. I would say apart from flagging Gowser offside, she had a very good game.
  18. Hes working in Sweden as an assistant manager.
  19. Exactly! Danny got it wrong in the summer transfer window, though he was big enough to admit it, offload the duds and replace with some decent players. For me, Kilmarnock and Hibs are a great example as you mentioned of what can happen if you think an experienced coach or rising young coach is an overnight solution to success. We have good harmony and a great bunch of lads at the club. There seems to be a belief in the camp and we seem to have a formula that is working at this moment in time. This coming season is going to be very different to the last few in terms of our nearest rivals having the upperhand with league safety well in advance. None of the bottom 5 have been guaranteed safety up until this week, a few days before the season ends, so no club has been able to prepare for what league they would be in next season. I personally think Danny is worth another 2 years with possibly 1 year and the option of a second as the terms.
  20. With the mass exodus last summer it was clear to see we were in desperate need of striking options. we failed to identify/loss out on targets and instead went down the route of panic signing the boy bahoken. for me that was a big big factor on not having the right preparation leading in to the start of the season.
  21. Not just the current management, the current playing squad. if u cant motivate yourself in a time of need ur in the wrong job.
  22. Any time Kenny goes on a fine run of form and has been linked with a move away he either unfortunately picks up an injury or his form dips. That's the last two January transfer windows he has been out injured when a move looked on the cards. I feel he will go far in the game. He has the right attitude and if played to his strengths, would be a great asset to any team he moves to.
  23. I find it hilarious that Harkins has been mentioned in the same conversation as Iniesta and Yaya Toure.
