  1. We have a great squad, though imo I just dont think the manager is getting the best out of them.

I have heard rumours that there is potentially a takeover imminent at the end of season, this may be the reason why we are running down lennons contract, so that the new board can pick their man.

As I said we have a very strong squad and it is frustrating to see us under achieve once again.

  2. I'm thinking if we go down might not be a bad thing new manager fresh ideas! Hopefully and enjoying going to see saints again potential derby back and full houses instead of same guff every season thinking 10th or 11th is good enough I for one don't think would be end of the world as far as I can work out only McGinn Kelly Naismith Wylde Reilly and Harkins if he comes back are only players tied up for next season another massive summer ahead!

    Thoughts??

    Cant think of anything worse.

  3. To be fair it was probably a wee bit uncalled for. He's just talking about football on twitter, Gregg Wylde was talking about the Aberdeen game earlier on, Josh Magennis mentioned their semi-final on Sportsound as well, you going to have a go at them?

Aye but the night after they defeated us at Tynecastle? He hasnt played for them for over a year and a half. Wylde has literally just left Aberdeen and Magennis is technically still their player.

He must know hes on the way out and it could be taken as a dig at St Mirren when mentioning Hearts in his tweets.

  4. I think what annoys me mostly, is that he rejected us in the summer, got knocked back by Killie after training with them for a week, then he sat on his arse for a few months taking on any Rangers fans doo he got get a gig at before signing and failing at Morton.

We return 6 months later and show an interest again with view to a deal. Its complete signs of desperation by us returning for him.

  5. I just hope that he continues ro turn in the performances like today for Oldham till the end of his loan spell because at the end of the day he is still our olayer and contracted beyond this season. The more he impresses down south, the more we can demand a transfer fee.

[/quote. My guess is that if he continues to do well then we would be happy to let them have him for free at the end of the season to get him off the wage bill without having to pay him off early like the vast majority of Lennon's failed signings.

Have to disagree im sorry. If he does well down there he might have more than one club admiring him. The boy celtic have out on loan at notrs county is doing extremely well and now have a few league one clubs after him. There is no way we would let him leave for nowt. I dont think we would be hard to deal with in regards to a transfer fee though I think we coukd profit from this.

I doubt Harkins will pull on a saints jersey again as Lennon thought he could change his attitude and he couldn't.

  6. Article on the STV page says we've been linked with Josh Maggenis. Also speaks again about Ryan Stevenson. The headline indicates Lennon isn't on for these guy but In the full interview he only says he won't name names. Maggenis doesn't fill me with hope however!

Interesting fact about magennis is that he was originally a goalkeeper and only changed his position to striker a few years before joing Aberdeen. Hes now a defender/striker.

  7. I think a centre half is the only business we will do. Campbell has added a new dimension to our attack and Bahoken hasnt been given enough game time to give anyone a decent judgement on his footballing abilities.

  8. We definetly need players, but releasing Div Barron doesnt make any difference to that. Has he featured at all this season? And cant have played much last year either.

It does make a difference if he has been earning a wage for the last 7 years which would most likely have increased after each new contract.

  9. Oh shut up ! Hope it's six , but Danny's fate's already sealed !

There has been alot of negativity on the forum this week towards the manager regarding departures and recent form. People call for Lennons head because of the lack of transfer activity.

We may have identified a formula which could change our form in the coming weeks and with our new signing out of the starting line-up.

    I hope its 7 ;)

  10. League Cup winning legend. Popped up with a last-gasp winner against Accies, or who knows what might have happened. I have no inside knowledge if Lee Mair was 'trouble' in the dressing room or not. I similarly have no knowledge about the truth behind Sir Alex of Ferguson's departure, nor do I now care about the manner of Ian Ferguson's departure to TCFKAR.

Point being - thanks to Lee Mair, like the others mentioned above, for the good times, for being part of the good times, for your contribution to the good times.

    Fergie's Furies '77

    Hampden '87

    Hampden '13

    Lee Mair played his part.

    Now, gie's a signing.

Really hope the lesson of the close-season has been learned where we said good-bye to Parkin, Carey, Imrie, Guy... and got little into replace them other than some panic buys.

But were any of the released really missed?
