  1. Could someone please inform me who is Adam Campbell ? Is this a player we are signing after Jan 1 and is he a proven goalscorer ? I am very reluctant to believe that ANY player signed by Lennon will be a success, particularly one whom I have never heard of. I assume he is a reserve player somewhere ?

The current goal drought is alarming and there appears no back up to Thompson since the start of the season, which is very unfair on this player. We are also likely to lose McGowan pretty soon I imagine, although he is no great loss anyway and rarely has a shot on target, never mind score.

I know that my posts are forever running down Lennon but I genuinely believe he is the worst mamager in the league, and has been since he came here. It is imperative to replace him either very soon, or at the least, not renew his contract.

I am hopping mad at the current form and could see very few points gained over the next four games. Sincerely hope not, but fear the worst.

McGowan is no great loss? Probably one of our best players imo.

As for your thoughts on Lennon....who would you bring in and how long would you give them before you start to shoot them down? Bringing in a new manager is not an overnight fix and in alot of cases can take months and months to get a team playing a way that is seen as an improvement.

  2. How come there's people want to take over Hearts with there millions of pounds of debt .How come there's people want to take over Kilmarnock with there millions of pounds of debt .How come there's people want to take over Dundee with there problems .Yet there is no one remotely interested in taking over our club with with no debts new ground own training ground and a very solid infrastructure .I'm puzzled as to why that is.

Kilmarnock - local businessman and fans

    Hearts - fans led bid

Us - we have the best local men in charge at the moment.

  3. Or maybe some of them realised that they are out of contract this year, and a new manager might dispense with their services.

DL has stayed loyal to many of them.

Personally I believe the change in formation and personel has had a far greater bearing on the performances.

Now we look stronger and hungrier in many areas. We need to get a backup striker in January.

RB is also a concern to me. Given the option I'd move Newton to RB and get Teale in his usual berth.

I just cannot see Connor making it down south as a midfielder. For the sake of his career he might better adapting his game.

Could be wrong though there coukd be some arrangement with Newcastle to play him in midfield areas only for his development.

  4. Newton is a central midfield player, not a wide midfielder. I'd rather he was shipped into the middle. To be honest I'd rather see Teale in for McLean, nothing against Kenny, I think he is a fantastic player, but I think we have many good midfielders and it's impossible to play them all.

Have to agree with this sir. Teale and Newton should be in the same line-up and if there was a player that had to give way to accommodate a central role for Newton then I would have to say at the moment it would be Mclean.

I feel Newton offers that bit more and will always give us another option going forward just as much as Kenny though I see more dig from Connor when we are chasing play.

  5. dunno where the o came from there...turned the big man into a Spaniard. Anyway no I'm being realistic....we got a draw at HOME against Aberdeen FFS not Barca, come on. Better than another defeat but still 2 points is not a great return unless of course we beat Hertz on Saturday but I will stick my neck out and say we won't.

Aberdeen hadnt conceded a goal in 5 games before the game last night and were off the back of a spirited 5-0 hammering of Falkirk. We more than matched them last night and were unlucky not to go 2-0 up before they equalised.

Considering our poor run, the starting 11 has been re-shaped and Aberdeen are one of the strongest teams in the league, a point was an excellent result.

  6. Why is there no next level. If there is progress for st. Johnstone, caley, county etc then there had better be for us too. Otherwise why do we turn up. Bud the baker that post is ridiculous and lacking in ambition.

I have to agree with norrie here. Its ludicrous to think that all we can achieve is survival in the top league.

Yes the first division is another kettle of fish, but did anyone seriously see it coming in 05/06 when we last came up and went on a consistent run to win promotion? You could even say the same under hendrie when we came up in the millennium year.

All you need is confidence, belief and leadership to get you moving in the right direction. Unfortunately we are going through a horrendous bad run, though every bad run comes to an end.
