I would argue that the style of football Tom Hendrie brought to the club in 99-00 was far more attractive than the style Danny had us playing.
It was at a lower level of course but that season for me was just brilliant.
Danny HAD us playing some good stuff, but anyone who has watched us this season would surely agree that the current style is miles away from what we saw this time two seasons ago.
Thing that annoyed me Div was that everyone from other clubs were even raving about how good we were playing back them. Danny was saying that we had found our identity and brand of football. All of a sudden that system was scrapped then it was punts up the park.

Why are people still going on about signings? The managers future us in doubt, so why would he be given more money to spend on a wage?

Best performance? We were shite, thats the worst well team ive seen for a few seasons and we didn't even test there keeper, our players are just going through the motions, they clearly aren't playing for Danny, brutal stuff, something has to give.
If the players arent playing for Danny then they are also bot playing for their employer.

I think since the turn of the year, Mcginn has showed more consistency in turning in good performances. McLean seems to be a player who goes through spells of form, though there is no doubt he is a talent. I still do think though that Mclean woukd be better played through the middle for value of goals, though we seem to be flooded witg central midfielders.

I was trying to turn right out of Kerr St in busy traffic 10 mins ago.A car coming from the right let me out so I edged forward but a BMW coming from my left refused to let me in to the flow of the traffic and gave me a nasty stare for even attempting the manouver.The BMW kept going and stopped on the yellow box below the wee,low railway bridge.How I laughed when 2 Polis stepped out on to the road,stopped the rest of the traffic and pulled him in.If only he'd let me out he'd have saved £60 and 3 points.

Say we collect between 6 and 9 points over the next 3 games and we enter the top half of the league, will the fans still be calling for gis head?
Hibs dor example are a bigger club than us and have recently spent 200k on a striker. Their situation doesnt look any greater than ours.

TBF , there are several more candidates for the job than when Gus was removed. Hartley , Murray , Cameron and Reid , off the top of my head !
Back to square one again.
Alot of fans didnt like the fact that Lennon got the job in the first place as he was a 'rookie'. How long would it take for a new manager to win over the fans if we brought someone in with similar experience?

I like his involvement with the youth setup .Not many managers have been as involved in the past and a club of our size along with our fantastic facilities depends on bringing through youth. Would a future manager show as much commitment?

Spouting abuse to a personal level to players is completely unacceptable. How is this meant to encourage and enhance a players performance?
Mentioned here and on another thread, the individual who shouted at Caprice to %*$£ off back to Blackpool is nothing short of disgusting and paints a horrible picture of our fans as a whole. People like this are better staying at home or placing a strip of duck tape across the gob on a matchday.
We may complain about the lack of signings over the summer, but through loan players and contracted players personal experience of a matchday, who the hell would want to come to our club with the level of abuse that is getting dished out?
We are going through a really SHIT period YES, but what we need here is the fans to get the players picked up with a positive message and a loud noise of backing on the stands.

I wouldnt give halfords the miney anymore for maintenance. I worked it out myself after paying them to fit last time. They charged me an extra couple of quid on top of that as they said there was a 'loose wire'. A loose wire which could have been easily knocked out during his tampering about.

You never know...one player in could make the difference and force us to play a different system with a supporting striker once again. COYS!

Thanks for the update Div. This clears a few things up over who we are looking to bring in. For a while, it looked as if we were trying to get more than the one striker in.

Yeah but these players are surely only caring about game time they have a club to go to. Others who have only 12 months are playing for a new contract or are looking to attract other clubs
Aye, but surely the players on loan will be putting in performances to impress their parent clubs? Certainly benefited Dummetts career.

I still dont think he would have been good enough. Far better prospects in our team currently. Also remember McShane getting frustrated at lack of first team games whilr the rest of the youngsters bided their time.

My poiny was that he was at celtic till around the age of 23 with only one or two first team games for them

As I mentioned in another thread, it wouldn't surprise me if we go on to have a successful season, and before anyone mentions it, I dont mean by avoiding relegation. What I mean as that we will finish in a respectable position.
Id rather be in our position than be in hearts or others like hibs.
Under fire pay fenlon was given 200k to bring in a new striker. In not sure I would be comfortable pissing away moneh like that if I was a hibs fan.
