    Back on topic, I think that a swap deal involving imrie and tidser would be good business.

    Morton probably value Tidser higher in value to what we paid for Imrie.

    Two completely different players regarding positions, though Tidser seems like a creative midfielder who can chip in with a few goals. I know the same was said about Robertson prior to him arriving though Tidser has worked his way from Celtic youth to stint in Sweden followed by a move to Greenock whereas Robertson has been playing at a lower level most of his career.

    I thought the dark diadora logo this season worked really well though this one looks kinda stuck on. I do however like the change from red to yellow as the additional colour. As we change our strip every season we need to give it a different feature to keep sales going and I think this works well.

    With that logic why don't we call up Beckham and see if we can tempt him out of retirement? I mean, he's effectively been playing for nothing at PSG with all his wages going to charity...

    Berra in the same league as Beckham? Interesting! Remember Webster returning to Hearts after Wigan? Things like that do happen, I did also state it was highly unlikely.

    And daft decisions like that have landed Hearts in their current financial position.

    We have to look at the bigger picture here. Yes we won the league cup and it was a fantastic achievement with this group of players, though our league position is unacceptable. Danny has to improve on our league performances and aim for top six. I liked Carey but for a player not holding down a regular place and showing consistency decisions like this one have to be made.

    Carey was brought in with the view of being a first team pic. Sadly he hasnt lived up to the expectations regardless of some special moments.

    As for Parkin, he came in and did exactly was expected of him..a backuo to thommo.

    I get the impression that a few of the outgoings mentioned have been unforgiving for not earning a place in the cup final squad.

    Was the old Paisley pattern Kelvin Homes top not the year that we got relegated???

    Bad omen I think but probably got ma years muddled!!

    Hopefully!!

    The last top with the paisley pattern was 97/98 I think it was when we had the the thin pinstripes and phoenix honda running vertically down one side. Away top was a reverse. Finished fourth that season im sure under fitzy.

    It has been quite an exciting week leading up to the final. My personal touch of hyperness all week has been promoting the cup final through my saints car flag driving to and from work all week via govan (diddy team territory). Felt like I was making a statement of 'yeah this is our day and theres no poison in the air to ruin that'.

    I really hope by the final whistle on Sunday we will have gained some new followers or drifters that have stayed away from a matchday. I think the 20 notes for cheapest adult at a national cup final has been magnificent pricing considering you pay around 17 for a first division game.

    I don't think there's much in this so I won't bother starting a new thread, but a Dundee Utd fan on twitter seems to think that we were on talks with them over Jim Goodwin, and we would get their youngster Ryan Gauld as part of the deal.

    He reckons with Houston gone its been shelved but I can't see there being any truth in it in the first place given we're short on defenders and he's filling that role, he just turned down an offer from Hibs and we have no need for a promising midfielder if we have McGinn and McLean at least until June, don't suppose anyone else has heard anything similar?

    Nothing to worry about mate, will just been complete speculation. Our captain wont leave for another SPL team. Also, the boy Gauld only just signed an extension at the end of last week, and is highly rated at Tannadice.
