Your credibility went out the window with "Teale's Tornadoes"

Would love to have heard Tommy tell SG 'tales from the auld days' when he had Hibs and Charleroi absolutely flying.

kevo_smfc got a reaction from whydowebother in Gary Teale. - St Mirren. Legend
As much as i respect Teale, a cup winning legend, a clearout is required, including senior pros and the management team.
There is too much failure happened at the club this season and i feel that a mixture of personality clashes has possibly shook up our dressing room. I think it seems apart from Tommy Craig getting the gig, the second biggest mistake was adding current senior playing squad members to the coaching staff.
Someone fresh, with no connection to the club needs to come in and shake the squad up and add some experienced pros to the young squad we already have in place.

Don't know if he could have been the right man for the job or not, but to not even get a response is disgraceful. Very unprofessional if true.

I don't think our younger players have done that badly this season .
I think they've been let down by the so called experienced ones .
Too much pressure has been heaped on them very early in their careers .
Next season they will now have this bad experience to look back on , and will hopefully be wiser for it .

Congratulations bud. I played last game at Love street. The size of the pitch can be quite daunting, though its a magnificent experience. Enjoy

Dundee just released a few more including David Clarkson, who at one point looked to be one of the free transfer signings of the season.
Could he do a job?

You must be at the wind up.
Gary Teale was responsible for guiding us to the bottom of the league after discarding the underachieving players that he was responsible for signing in the first place. He was part of the TC team.
The 5-0 humiliation was the final straw. He made a brave decision that night and left out Thommo for our must win game.

This is the way i had always wished for the club to operate. Making use of our academy and promoting players, if good enough to the first team and building out from there.
I think if the best bunch are identified, the board will act upon securing their services. These players are the future of our club and I believe if they are good enough, then lets go with it.
It's now trying to convince the next line of best pick youngsters within the local community and beyond, that their futures would be best served at St Mirren, one of the best academy set ups in the country, who give youth a chance.

I agree , but to have 5,000+ home fans would be great at every game at our wee Lego stadium

Even Hibs have sold 5k already, not knowing what level they will be playing next season. They do however have crowds around triple what we have, so you could say that they have almost sold a third of their average gate per game.

I think they are shooting themselves in the foot here. You have just over two weeks to take up the offer then its increased? The fact that we have no manager in place, no indication who will be kept on, or who we aim to bring in, hardly fills you with confidence that all the above will be clarified by the end of the month.

Back in the 90s I was paid off so could not afford a season ticket and only made the odd game till back in employment . Like you say mate was still a big supporter of the club. It's a hell hole to be in when you have not got the funds. I feel for anyone who can't get a job or are working for employers who take the piss on what they pay. As for employers who say there is no work today but maybe tomorrow should be named and shamed . Roll on next season ! -

You do have to wonder about the staggered increase in ST prices from early bird onwards? Its like saying if you can't/don't buy it in the next two weeks.... f**k off and pay us more!
What a piece of brain dead marketing that is, why not have one price for season tickets up until the first game they are valid/ or until the benefit is gone.

Never understood, why the fans dont get asked every season, it is dead easy and makes sense, keeps fans involved in stuff they actually care about and can actual influence.

The £285 I spent last year definitely didn't represent value for money. Apalling football and even worse cutomer service.
The club will have to do a whole lot better if they want me to part with £275 to watch them in the Championship.

Crowne Feegie Plaza - Paisley International Airport. Five customer reviews.....
"My wife and I booked an overnight stay at the new Crowne Feegie Plaza before our flight home to New York from nearby Paisley International Airport. Our room looked out onto the nearby soccer stadium belonging to the Saint Mirren soccer club. Thinking it would be nice to buy the kids Saint Mirren soccer jerseys, we wandered across to the sign marked 'club shop'. The gentleman there told us to phone a taxi and ask to be taken to places called Silverburn, Braehead or Paisley Centre. He showed us a photo of the Saint Mirren soccer jersey. We decided not to bother, and in the morning, at Paisley International Airport itself, we bought the kids soccer jerseys by the Glasgow Celtics and Rangers.
Nice clean rooms though, although ours faced an airdome".
Two stars.

Thommo could run amok next Season. A Twiggy version of Yardley.
Could score a record amount of goals in a Season for himself.
Decent Manager and a fit Thommo and we will get promoted.
