Our league form isn't much worse off than last season based on the attached stats.
I know its not a great situation, though Thistle are only one win better off from last seasonand i'm sure the Motherwell fans will be feeling more pain than ourselves after years of competing at the top and suddenly dropping to their worst form in years, fighting out a relegation battle.
If anything, we are the most experienced of the 3 dealing in this situation and getting out of it.
Do we have the players to pull us out of it this time? Im not 100% percent sure, though we have the best defensive record of the 3 teams with a similar goals for as Well and County.

Can't agree. If fans think our recent financial cuts have been bad, multiply them by 100 if we were to get relegated.
Would probably be forced to sell Naismith,Kelly maybe even Mallan. Cut off a lot of the community coaching staff, the youth academy costs a fortune to run. I know the first team isn't great but signings like Thompson, McGowan ect don't happen in the first division with a budget like ours.
I think we could rot away for another 10-15 years again. That's why a lot of fans are worried the way it's going on the field and off it. Youngsters these days have bit easy watching Saints as an Prem team,winning a trophy. I don't think we would be far away from doing a repeat of the 90's and early 00's .
It has maybe helped Falkirk develop youngsters and get ridiculous fees for them but how long have they been out of the top league for now? Maybe been unlucky that Hearts and Hibs have came down this season right enough.

I cant understand bringing Lamont back in. Since leaving us a couple of years ago, hes been at Dumbarton, Albion Rovers and Petershill, so his career has went backwards. At 22/23 years old surely there is better out there. No offence to the lad.

They should open up a manager of the year award at the dinner. Gary Teale a front runner already with less games in charge.

When we go behind in games we have barely had it in us to put up a fight. Lack of belief? Lack of service? I blame both.
Teale has brought in the boy from west ham to play a similar position to mclean. Big ask for the boy. Absolutely.
We needed something abit more in terms of pace and drive towards the byeline. Sonupe has been brought in for this
Wylde is useless and we need a bit more experience to support the midfield, so we bring in Dayton.
Arquin can play off the striker, or slot into a winger role too on a 3 prong attack.
As for the defence, yes we need cover there, but now with the midfield topped up, kelly coyld easily slot in at left back if need be with Tess moved in as centre half. I personally wouldnt shift goodwin or Cheesey. Goodwin has been having some of his best form at the moment and this will do well for Cheesey.

1 striker, 1 no.10 and 2 wingers. Here's a clue why... we are second lowest scorers in the league. Give Teale at least until the ICT game to ring in a CH or two.

I'm not sure how widely it's been publicised but Saints fans should be aware that Langs pub is under new management / ownership and re-opens this Saturday (7th Feb) as The Brewers Tap. Don't think the layout will change much but there will be some craft beer / ale on sale alongside the usual selection.
I know the new owner and he is keen to make sure that it continues as a "St Mirren boozer" so I wanted to let people know.
Good to see a long standing Saints friendly pub opening its doors again so I'll be paying it a visit!
