    This!
Impatience creeping in and rightly so with results, though unfair to judge a player after a couple of games. I know it's not ideal though he is still working on his fitness and getting back to first team game time.

Agree with this. We had a couple of half chances at best that fell to Jackson, though the longer the game could have went on at 1-0 we could have had a bit of self belief and the subs could have made a difference, even to the point where we see it's worthwhile sticking on McAllister to run at them for the last 15. That chance passed when the referee malfunctioned.

Thing is, it’s a different game at 1-0. Having survived the first wrong decision, we were still in the game at 55 minutes. If we held onto that for another 20 mins, then 75-80mins we could have started pushing for the equaliser. Point is, the game would have panned out differently. We may have still lost, we may still have not achieved a shot on target. But we don’t know for sure.

Yes definitely. Every game he looks a bit more match fit - he wrestled and fought hard against Sevco and it was always going to be a uphill struggle - even before the very early goal.
All over the forum fans are crying because we are not instantly winning against Tic, Sevco etc. A bit of realism and give the new team a chance to learn to play Oran's way...
Patience still the order of the day, but have to hope we beat Well, it is even more important than beating Utd in the cup. However, I don't think it is being greedy to win both and then we will have some things to shout about !!!

According to Jackson and Parks in the Record, we are certainties to be automatically relegated. Most Accies and Dundee fans on P & B also think we are down, and they are only fighting to avoid the play off spot.
So, get this pinned to the dressing room wall, tell the new players the story of the 2016/17 great escape, of Forthbank in 1998, of Fir Park in 2007, and let's fecking do this!

I feel it's not a high enough profile game for the SFA to do anything about his performance. That's the sad reality of it.  He will be protected and told next time don't give anymore than 3 to the one team next time round.

My only surprise was that he did not order a retake of the penalty that hit the post.

Too true. The whole affair on Saturday was an utter embarrassment to the game up here. Top flight football in Scotland eh ..........................?
To think some complain about artificial pitches, ha, that's way down the priority list of shame, start with the clearly inept not fit for purpose referees please.
Referee awards four penalties in a single game, upon review three are highly contentious.  I mean ffs,  its a joke.

Another sore one today. I suppose today’s game can be looked at on two levels. Looked like we set up for damage limitation today and did ok in the first half. We had nothing going forward and didn’t have a hope due to the 4 pens given against us. It’s early days for all the new recruits bedding in. Just need to put today behind us and focus on the next games, getting the new players up to speed as quickly as possible. They look quite promising acquisitions. It can only get better and hopefully there is a win and turning point around the corner. We were massive odds to get anything from today’s game for a reason.
The other level is questioning the pens given against us again by that numpty Dallas. I’ve seen footage of the second and third and they were not penalties. Sounds like their fourth was questionable too, although I haven’t seen it. It’s hard to deny that there isn’t favouritism towards the old firm, Sevco in particular in Scottish football. Our game stinks and today is just another glaring example that will be brushed under the carpet by the media like the behaviour of some of their fans, because it’s expected and accepted by them and the SFA.
Wasn’t there today; sounds like we were poor again, but there’s still time for Oran to turn things around in our mini league of 3.

Celtic - I watched the first half only. It was the worst of the last 3 league games.

Hibs - first half good. Second half useless.

Rangers - first half positive signs. Second half useless.

That said when you think about fine margins and momentum in games. The Hibs game could have been very different if Kyle had not taken a horrendous first touch and messed up a gilt edged chance and if McGregor had been penalised for a high boot (at head height) as Jackson was about to head into an empty net. Equally today if Rangers has only been awarded the one penalty.

No excuses. It needs to get better. Celtic game was a training exercise for them, but second half with 10 men against Alloa and both the first halves against Hibs and Rangers have been positive. Just need to hope the 10 new players gel quick enough to give us a chance.

Not really much else for it.

Not sure why I’m making the effort to reply to you, but I’ll do it anyway.
First half of the season - Awful, wouldn’t have been surprised to see us in the relegation battle in the Championship never mind Premier.
With the January signings, I think we look better now. Work to be done but we have better options on the pitch now. Today, conceding after 3 mins (genuine penalty) would have been the catalyst to seeing us get ripped apart. By the hour mark we were still in the game. In the end the reason we were well beaten was down to the referee that clearly set out to help the Sevvies today. Had it been a fair game, who knows - we may have sneaked a late equaliser.
Its hard to judge the new squad as two of the three fixtures have been away to the bigotdomes, which usually result in 0 points anyway. The first half against Hibs was good, second half was dire until we went 2-1 down. Hibs attacked young Ethan’s side well - hopefully Muzek will be the cure to that.

We've just signed a player who was one of the top scorers in Danish football, and was signed by an English premiership team for £2 million and people have written the guy off as "pish" already.
Imagine we signed a striker for a fee, who couldn't get near the first XI of an English division one team.
The response would put some of the meltdowns witnessed on here in the past few days to shame.

The clearance came through on Monday. I'd imagine it has been so manic over the last few days, its still on the to-do-list for official press release with pictures, since we had the game on Sunday and the window is just about to close. Maybe awaiting the other player(s) to arrive today and get it all done in one go.

I don’t know how anyone can make a decision on the new players based on a few games - good or bad. Give them time to settle and then judge them.

I won't comment on your scores, they are subjective and individual - but your assessment is very fair - I think you have played football a bit). I am not sure how well the various languages and communications (Glaswegian etc.) are working on the field, but they will improve as the team plays together more. I do think the LB is key, but so is covering midfield runners - this is our primary issue at the moment.
Hladky will at some point make a mistake - but I recon he is really decent for this level.
Popescu does all the defensive things well and he and Baird look as if they understand one another well - neither were to blame for any of the goals in our last 3 games.
Tansey is not up and running yet - I will cut him some slack - he needs match fitness and I think it will come - he has not become a bad player overnight. He is not suddenly yards slower...he will be a big improver in the coming month.
Lyons is much better than I had suspected. Folk talking about him coming from a lower level etc. (Laughable after what Stubbs brought us I know) He has loads of energy, is great going forward, links well with others and covers back, gets a tackle in etc. Having said that I do think he ran out of stream a wee bit against Hibs, but I think he will prove to be a brilliant acquisition.
McAllister - is always going to be one of ours. He will contribute well in the coming months and he will improve playing more with his new team mates.
Dreyer - It was a big bit unfair to him getting pitched in without training with the lads before hand. He found space and linked up a few times, but I think we never fed him when he made some runs as well - this too will change. He did look invisible for big chunks of the game though. Our attitude will change once he bangs in a goal and a few assists.

Although he has not played yet Mateo doing the LB job well will bind us much better defensively and give us additional options with Ethan in the midfield.
The goal scoring striker is the big missing piece at the moment though. Don't get me wrong I rate Jackson, I just believe a strong partner will reap big dividends.
The biggest thing to deal with from the Hibs game is readjusting when the opposition change their formation - Shaw basically changed the game for them, and although we had little on the bench, our captain and defence should have handled this change better.
Here's hoping this season is a bit like the one before we won the Championship. i.e results pick up and we stay in the league - cause then I think we will really push on next season .
