Taken apart by Killie's quality up front and our frailties in defence.

Trying to think of something positive to say - cue Elvis

As has been previously pointed out by many of us, it is clear that Robinson and O'Carroll (and possibly other coaching staff) have the knack of getting the full potential out of many players - I don't need to list the examples here - it is beyond arguement, but Olusanya is just one example.
All the more reason to ensure that we negotiate a deal to ensure their continued employment at the SMISA Stadium.
Everything in the garden seems rosy at present with the anticipated return to form and fitness of several key players.
However, that situation could change in an instant, if our management team (including Keith Lasley) were to be poached by a wealthier club, such as our old friends from Pittodrie.

As the newly elected MP for Rochdale would say about our beloved Buddies - "I admire you for your indefatigibility"
-
Quote from the BBC website:-
"Not only have Aberdeen not won there in six visits, St Mirren have won three of their latest five meetings, losing only once, and a 3-0 win at Pittodrie in December was one of the embarrassing scorelines that led to Barry Robson's departure."
This si a recipe for disaster if ever there was one!

Looking forward to this game as when I was up at the last Aberdeen game we gave them a right doing.
They have areal striker in their ranks but, that apart, they are honking.
Are you forgetting Jamie McGrath?
He is one of the few who has performed consistently well for them.
As for us, I long for Strain, O'Hara, McMenamin and Baccus to team up as they did at the start of the season when we were playing some attractive football.
However, I appreciate that Saturday may be a bit too soon for Strain to get involved.

I did, though it was reasonably obvious.
I'll assume you're only 2 years old if you think that was the most painful draw in living memory?
I'm actually quite elderly - that's the problem - my memory is not what it used to be.
-
Cannot criticise the team for lack of effort, but the quality of their football was as bad as it can get.

Why torture when we're, all of a sudden, looking the lost likely to score?
Did you mean 'least' likely?
This was the most painful draw in living memory.
Who would disagree with Derek Adams tonight?
-
7 additional minutes of torture to come!
-
Has either team had a shot on target the whole match?
Apart that is from the gift of the goal.
-
We don't look like we will bring this back - it's obviously one of 'these St Mirren' nights.
-
The biggest mistake tonight was not Gogic's but the VAR officials'.
Unbelievable incompetency.

Thanks AB & HSS
However, I access Sky Sport via Now TV and their website shows no trace of the game being televised
At last found the link - just a senior moment!

Game is supposed to be on Sky Sports but can't trace any sign of this.
Can anyone throw any light on whether this is the case?

Unfortunately. Fourth and he'll be poached.
Seventh and he'll be fried!

For just once for such a crucial match - let's not not do this the St Mirren way!

Not our day.
But it is our way!

Hopefully we can still turn this around.
However, turning a blind eye to our obvious weaknesses, does not help the situation.
What we do have is grit and team spirit - so anything is possible with this group of players as they have proven on many occasions this season.
-
Can our leaky defence and powder puff attack still win this?

Kilmarnock v St Mirren 16/3/24

One real positive from today:-
We can't argue we were unlucky - Kilmarnock murdered us in the second half.
Then some negatives:-
With the benefit of hindsight - should Kwon and Baccus have started?
And on this showing, we will have to do something to bolster our central defence - will the return of Bolton and a fit Taylor make a difference.
The result today, from 2 goals up at halftime, was particularly painful after the turn-around against Aberdeen a fortnight ago.
