  1. Complete the trio with Mallan on loan from Barnsley!
  2. We have every right to get carried away in a wave of enthusiasm at this stage - but it would be a mistake to do so! And I'm sure the players know that too.
  3. Yes - it's a great time to be a Saints fan - things are looking rosy at the moment and it's more than likely at this stage that we will win the championship. We are winning most of our games and there is a feel good factor which is less likely to happen if we get into the SPL next season. The question is can we overcome the financial hurdles of the SPL where we will be one of the 'poorer' clubs and achieve a top six finish? Can we hold on to JR and JF for at least a couple of seasons more, and if not, can we keep the momentum going with their replacements? Is it worth getting promoted for the "privilege" of rubbing shoulders with the two ugly sisters?
  4. That was more like the free flowing football of the latter part of last season, although failure to capitalise on our flair from midfield in the final third, meant that we were on the edge of our seats on some occasions during the second half. I thought McGinn was also back to his creative best, bur having said that, I don't think we had any failures today in any department. Morgan was sublime and the defence were much more solid looking than of old. Stunning result at Falkirk. Life is good!
  5. Just like the Morton game, some of our fans are getting carried away with themselves beforehand. This is likely to be another close call - just like the last two encounters, which could have gone either way. Be prepared... Yes we are top of the league at present but that has not been achieved with effort to spare.
  6. The latter. I personally am quite happy to leave it to the manager to decide but you obviously aren't.
  7. I asked you "who" not what type/category of player. So far as I am aware Harry Davis already plays for St Mirren.
  8. After my criticism of the Dundee United match - congratulations to Buddievision on the 90 minute coverage of the Morton game.
  9. Now the hard bit - posting something positive. Who (in your opinion) should St Mirren sign in the transfer window if it's limited to 2 signings which we could afford?
  10. After the euphoria of Friday - the sense of anti-climax of Tuesday. That's football I suppose. However, it was obvious that the players gave 100% today, especially in the first half, but for whatever reason were not firing on all cylinders in the second half. All credit to Morton for making a game of it. Our players, with the addition hopefully of a couple of others during the transfer window, will ensure that we are there or there abouts come the dividing of the spoils at the end of the season.
  11. The reverse of Friday evening's performance - ie. good in the first half fell away in the second. I am not sure that it was down to tiredness on the players' part - more that Morton were fired up to get back into the match, whereas we tended to sit back just like we did in the first half on Friday.
  12. Thanks for that helpful explanation JG - I accept that things can go wrong from time to time especially when they are IT related. However, I would respectfully request that the St Mirren TV people address the general problem of low res video output in comparison to what is on offer from other Championship clubs. Best wishes to everyone at St Mirren TV for 2018.
  13. Having been at the game on Friday evening, I was looking forward to reliving some of the moments from the game on Buddievision. Whilst I had a perfect view of the penalty save and the two goals at the game, I was less than enamoured by the quality of what Buddievision had to offer as their full 90 minutes recording of the game. What we got appeared to be a pirated download of the BT TV coverage minus any commentary whatsoever. I had to turn the sound off as the screeching /squealing noises made it unbearable to listen to. The video quality was poor and the picture aspect was distorted. I was much more impressed with the recorded highlights on YouTube which came free of charge. If Buddievision want to hold on to their paying customers they will have to do better!
  14. Stevie Clark got a certain Youssouf Mulumbu as an early Christmas present.
  15. Oh no it’s not. Your fantasy is your own self-made fantasy. But have a merry “Xmas” in your own fantasy world and all the best for 2018.
  16. The agony of watching the first half of last season makes the first half of this season all the more sublime!
  17. Another “gritty” display is required today. Oh to have a Lumumbu or Wedderburn to boss the midfield. Bring on the January transfer window!
  18. It would just be too good to be true if we got a win at Dumfries and Dundee United slip up against Livi. Then it is Christmas - but then again we are St MIrren and we don’t do it the easy way!
  19. Other than the parking there is intended for patients and visitors?
  20. Significantly better quality pictures than those from BuddieVision
  21. LPM has a valid point. Last week against Dumbarton at home we did not manage one shot on target the whole game. Against Brechin we had 3 shots on target as against their 5!
  22. I find myself (for once) agreeing with you on this. Also, the drum was particularly irritating to listen to for the full 90 minutes. I opted to pay 1 month's subscription, but unless there is an improvement in the quality, I will seriously be reconsidering renewing on a monthly basis.
